the Illium and Olympos books aren't about the logistics of a real-life teleporter.... it's fantasy set in the future, and on Mars.
and the people fax themselves places. XD

Teleporters would more need to be like an Enstein Rosen Bridge connecting two spaces not transporting matter from one place to another.

We need the giant pneumatic tube things like they use at the bank... though the pressure in those might like squish our bones or something. Hmm... I know at one point someone rich was looking into doing testing to see if a human could withstand it.
So speaking of books, has anyone read a book about like... a hawk girl being the princess of one realm and they're at war with some snake people and she married the snake guy to end the war? I... read it back in like 8th grade and was thinking about it the other day but have NO idea what it might be called XD Answer my riddle to earn a prize!

I dunno why I didn't do that myself...-derp-
BUT YES! I RECOGNIZE THAT COVER... and apparently there's MORE THAN ONE?!?! Holy crap. If I remember right it was a really good read, but it felt more like I was reading someone else's REALLY well written roleplay than like, a novel. Answer my riddle to earn a prize!

Uh. Oh man, this new tea that I bought has poppy flowers, and, um. Something in there just kicked in really hard, and, compounded with the huge workout that I did today, I'm pretty close to just passing out :|

you're welcome, Mekatra.
i know what it's like to not remember what that book is! like - i started reading this fantasy book back when i was in high school, and i used to remember the little bit of the plot, but now i don't anymore... just that i wanted to try to remember the plot so i could find the book and see if i still wanted to read it. on the other hand, i just googled a book title i remembered reading, which was supposed to be part of a series: Dragon & Phoenix. the first book, the Last Dragonlord, was, according to wiki, pubished in 1998, and Dragon & Phoenix was published in 99. for some reason, i'd always thought it was supposed to be part of a trilogy -- and wiki told me it was, with Bard's Oath being published in 2012! what the.... Go get you some sleep, Espy!
That sounds...confusing. Also that would be an amazingly frustrating wait for another book. I would jsut kind of assume the author died or something. >.> Answer my riddle to earn a prize!

Mekatra, nah, it really wasn't confusing. i remembered the title of the second book. and i read them both probably when they came out. i'm not sure what i thought happened - maybe the author just didn't finish the series?? i had no idea that there really was a 3rd book for real until i just looked it up.... XD

Ugh, why can't Michael's be as good a craft store as Hobby Lobby? I refuse to shop at Hobby Lobby but they have EVERYTHING... -sigh- Perhaps I shall have to resort to ordering on Amazon again.
I didn't even realize Hawksong had more than one book until you found it for me. Answer my riddle to earn a prize!

I have some valerian root if you're having trouble sleeping. Kinda smells and tastes like feet but mixed with chamomile and honey you'll not notice
