He deserved the punch, really he probably deserved more then that. "I told you im too stubborn to die didn't i?" He had said that to her when they last saw one another, though he didn't think he was going to make it at that time and a few days after the fact even. "That damn dragon nearly got me shot" He said after she said that she was happy he was alright, it was true the thing was giving away his location. Though he dropped it at that, he managed to get away with just a punch seeing as he had avoided her elbows or he might have been a little worse off from the strikes.

"don't try to act .. i think you wanted me to get shot.. " He said to the dragon, though he knew that wasn't the case. "Eh, well seeing as I'm not welcome in my own areas whats it matter where I go" He had a point seeing as one of the queen's daughters had pretty much labeled him as a traitor he wasn't welcome with the dark elves. He smirked a bit at her question of why he was here. "just out for a stroll you know how it is, proving how badly your guards are trained" He shrugged a little. "Or would you rather me say I came here to see you?" Though he had other motives for being here, seeing her was hardly something he minded. After the near death experience he wasn't even sure if he had imagined what she had said and done, and he wasn't about to ask if it really happened.

Though for someone inside the enemy capital he hardly seemed worried, apparently the dragon had given him more trouble then any of the guards here in the town. "Should I have not come then, I could have left well enough alone and not bother with letting you know I was alive." He probably should have after he thought about it, just gone about what his plan was and let her go about her normal life.

"No," Judith whispered to him, a smile still on her face. "I'm happy that you came to see me. I-" she paused for a moment, her face became red. "I was worried about you." she couldn't remember the last time that she was this happy. Probably when she was a child. She had been stressed more than anything else after she returned to the main town. The king had arranged for her to meet him whenever he was not busy, he wanted every detail about what had happened. He even wanted to know if she had found out anything important about the Dark Elves abilities, but she said that she didn't. Judith wondered what the king would do if he discovered that she was lying.

Judith brought her body to his and her arms wrapped around his torso, she squeezed him gently. "That makes me feel safe," she muttered when he mentioned proving how badly the town's guards were. Though she could only imagine how much those men had been through. They were in charge of keeping the town safe and on top of it an attack was expected any day now. "Everyone is panicking, they are all afraid of what is going to happen." she let out a sigh and buried her face against his chest.

She wasn't sure if Rhyldrin had remembered her kissing him, it made her have butterflies when she thought about it. Judith didn't even know if he felt that way about her. Saying that he cared about her was one thing but it didn't mean that he perhaps wanted to be with her. Though that wouldn't be possible considering what was happening between the Dark and Light Elves now. Even before this it would have been impossible. I'm such an idiot, she thought and closed her eyes. I can't be with him, I can't allow myself to fall more. What am I even doing now? Making a fool of myself, that's what.

"well .. you asked" He said to her saying she felt safe though when she moved closer and wrapped her arms around him he seemed at a loss of what he was suppose to do. They'd both be killed on sight if anyone saw this, though he thought about that for a moment. He didn't care.. what did he have left to really live for aside from making sure she made it through the attack.

"Shh.. " He said softly to her to get her to stop talking bout the coming attack and the possibility that her town might fall. He put both arms around her keeping her close before he spoke again. "To tell you the truth, I didn't know you were going to be here. I hoped that you would but... I wasn't going to let you know I was here." He sighed a little, he didn't want to ruin her life by dragging her with him. "I came here to seek a audience with your current king, I know that's a request I'd hardly be granted considering what happened to the last king.. " It'd probably be a good joke that the king slayer wanted to speak to the king.

He went on after a few moments and moved a hand to place it under her chin to make her look at him "I'm not going to let it happen..." He meant the attack even if he had to draw blades against the queen herself he'd prevent more bloodshed over nothing. No one even knew why the war was still going on, surely the king of the light elves or least the current one didn't want this. And the Queen of the dark elves was upset at the loss of their home and her child that had fallen victim.

Releasing her chin he moved his hand to her hair brushing a few stray stands from her face. "I've protected you up until now haven't I?" He smiled at her though it was a little weak, he knew that if the guards caught him he'd have no chance in hell of getting his audience let alone he'd probably be killed on sight. Then on the other hand convincing a army of dark elves to back down wasn't a task that was easy either.

"i'm going to finish what my parents started..." He finally said aloud. That probably answered a few questions if you put facts together, there was a report of two dark elves with a handful of their guards being killed within the city walls during the time of the peace treaties that were due to be underway. Word got around that the past king had ordered the group to be slain, he had wanted war. Rhyldrin only took the contract to kill the late king to get his revenge, the war was something he didn't plan on sparking afterwards but thanks to the blood thirsty ones like Brishen that's exactly what happened.

Looking over her face he swore to himself that the kiss was real, but he didn't make any sign that he was thinking about it. Though he wanted to kiss her, just in case he didn't get out of this one and the odds were stacked rather high against him this time around. He quickly dropped the thought of such a thing she probably only did so back then because he was pretty much good as dead, besides there wasn't any proof that's what she had meant by anything she said or had done. He was probably reading into it all too much.

"I need to get going though... before the guards figure out someone got into the walls" He was on a time limit the sooner he got the talk with the king over with the sooner he could get to figuring his plan out for the queen.... not that he wanted to leave her side, but she deserved someone who wasn't always running off putting their life on the line that was for sure. Reluctantly he stepped back away from her, it was the only way he could force himself to let go he knew the odds were that he wasn't going to pull out of this unscathed. "You know what... " He started off before getting Vrine from his shoulder and handing the dragon back over to her "Whoever you settle with, will be a very lucky man." Though he said it with a smile like he knew she had someone in mind or something, though he did't really know. Hell truth be told he didn't know if in her kind the females choose or the males, he knew how it worked for his people where the females were the dominate ones.

He didn't really give her time to reply to his words as he returned to a rooftop quickly. In truth he didn't want a reply he needed to focus on getting to the center of the town without being detected and staying in one spot for too long was dangerous on it's own let alone being seen with a light elf who wasn't trying to kill him.

"Are you sure that you want to do that?" she asked, she seemed concerned about Rhyldrin speaking to the current king. "It's well guarded as far as I know but seeing how you got in to here without being detected you may be able to do the same there." she added then chewed on her lower lip. "Be careful, I can only imagine how the king would react to a Dark Elf in his home. I'm sure that he will hear what you have to say though, he isn't like the other one. He's more gentle and open-minded. He had been planning to end the war then this happened." What Brishen had done would not be forgotten. Despite being her brother people did not spit on her like her parents. Light Elves here knew that Judith was kind-hearted and wouldn't wish harm to her own people. Brishen was blinded by hate and power, he had driven his people in to the ground.

When Rhyldrin lifted her chin her heart skipped a beat. "You have always been brave," Judith said and smiled warmly at Rhyldrin. For a moment she thought that he was going to kiss her, they were so close to each other. The warmth from his body was making her body feel weak. "I'm sorry for distracting you," she whispered softly. "Though you wouldn't have bothered coming down to see me if you didn't mind getting a little distracted." she laughed quietly to herself.

She closed her eyes as he brushed her hair from her face. "That you have," she said and opened her eyes. "Like I said, even when we were children you were there for me. I protected you too, you have a temper that would have caused you quite a bit of trouble. I didn't want to see you to be harmed by my kind." Judith took Vrine in her hands gently, she ran her thumb over his head. "Huh?" she looked up at him, she was unsure of how to respond to such a comment.

Though before she could respond he left her, she looked down at Vrine in her hand who seemed relaxed now. Apart from nuzzling against her fingers, he always seemed to want attention and she did owe him quite a bit still. "I have an idea," Judith said and looked at Vrine. "You may not like it though." She left the alley way and looked around for Rhyldrin. When she didn't him she started to make her way to the king's living quarters. Rhyldrin would be upset if he knew what she was up to.

He waved off her concern for his well being "unless they have guards that don't fall for distraction tactics I doubt I'll have a problem.." It was basic trickery he had been using up until now to get past any guards without confronting them, he was trained as a medic after all so as far as fighting went he wasn't even suppose to be fighting on the front lines. But after turning down the position in the military unit he went about most of his life as a sword for hire. "To tell the truth.. the Queen wanted to never start the war, she had lost too many before with minor skirmishes." He sighed a little "I just have to make it to the central building, once inside I hardly need any weapons." Going unarmed was risky to say the least but it would prove he wasn't there to start anything. Besides he could defend himself well enough without a blade.

He couldn't help but smirk a bit at her saying she was sorry for distracting him. "You hardly need to be sorry for that... because your right" Though he wasn't going to let himself get carried off in the moment even though he wanted nothing more then to just let himself go, he wanted to kiss her, but instead he restrained himself from doing so as he listened to her talk. "That you did.. heh.. my temper got a little better with age, only slightly though." He never mentioned he was wasn't normally this calm, but around her he couldn't help it. All the years she held him back to prevent him from fighting countless times, it had sunk in after a while.

Getting to the central building where the king was located was almost easier then he expected, the guards were surrounding the building sure but most of them were occupied with the outer walls and then the forest edge to make sure the army wasn't here yet. He stayed on a roof near the building, it wasn't nearly as tall as the building but he was weighing his options of entry. 'about now I wish i had taken assassin training instead of medical.. geese'.

Vrine looked up at the girl when she said he wouldn't like it, questioning her before she made her move. Though the dragon noticed she was trying to find Rhyldrin, but he had lost track of him as well as he made a slight whine with his ears dropping. The dragon stayed alert but hidden from sight, worried about what would happen if he was seen. That's all the dragon knew was how to hide, he was getting to be a few years old and couldn't breath any type of magic, he had drilled into his head to stay hidden.

Judith had made her way to the king's living quarters. When she came to the gates the guards lifted their heads up and clenched their weapons tightly. "Who goes there?" one barked, the other kept quiet. "Judith," she said and stepped in to the light. "Was the king expecting you?" the first guard spoke again. The king had informed his men to allow Judith in to the castle, she came often when he had free time. There were rumours that he was in love with Judith ever since he first saw her. Judith had laughed at them, but when he invited her to the castle just to chat it made her think that they might not be rumours but the actual truth. She wondered if she could ask him to do her a favour. Judith looked at the guard and smiled warmly. "No, but I could not sleep and wanted to visit him briefly. Is that alright?" the guard looked at the other, the other one shrugged his shoulders. He looked back at Judith. "Since you're showing up without his permission someone inside will want to escort you to him." it wasn't as if they didn't trust Judith. They had rules to follow and couldn't allow anyone in unescorted if the king didn't expect them. Even her, right now she was just another citizen. "I understand," she said and walked past them.

When Judith walked inside her footsteps echoed in the wide hall. The walls were decorated in art and sculptures were placed upon hand crafted tables. Everything felt elegant and everything was beautiful. A Light Elf greeted her at the stairs that leg to the king's throne room. "Hello," she said politely. She smiled at Judith and her body language became relaxed when she recognized her. "Judith is it?" she asked and took her bow and pouch of arrows. "Weapons are not permitted in the king's throne as you know, I will hold them for you until you leave." the Light Elf began to walk up the stars, Judith followed behind her quietly.

They approached two large doors and the female Light Elf opened them. "Your highness?" he looked up as the doors were opened. "Yes?" Judith stepped in and he raised an eyebrow. "She wishes to speak to you." the king cleared his throat. "Leave us then." he said and stood from where he sat. He drifted over to her effortlessly. "What did I do to deserve a visit from you?" he asked as he now stood in front of her. A smile spread across his lips. Judith hesitated to speak for a moment then she looked in to his eyes. "I need you to do me a favour," she said, the smile left his face. "Please, Bryon? Don't look at me like that." Bryon brought his hand to her cheek gently and ran his thumb up and down. "What is it?" he asked. Judith felt surprised by his touch. "You're going to think that I'm insane."

Seeing as he was avoiding the front entrance he hadn't seen Judith enter into the building, though in his thought he probably wouldn't have anyway. He inhaled deeply before stashing any weapons he had on him where he was perched at the moment. 'Well... time to do or die' He thought to himself before making a running leap for the building, leaning it with ease and making almost no noise in the process. He exhaled afterwards, he knew for sure he was going to land with a thud.

If his luck was with him he knew where the king's quarters were and a few other important rooms that he might be located in, he remembered his parents going over maps of the town when the talk of peace existed. Walking along the edge of the roof he seemed to calculate what area he wanted to enter into. Finally settling on one he kicked in a back window before going though it and pausing there as he stayed crouched on the floor. He had tried to avoid as much noise as possible but there seemed to be no guards in his present location.

'Are they really that stupid?' He hardly knew the first few floors were crawling with them, and they probably thought that no one would be stupid enough to stick to the roof tops due to archers. He had to admit this was a stupid if not reckless plan. Though after he felt it was safe to move he noticed that the rooms and floor work had been changed. 'shit!' he thought as he stayed against the walls trying to check each corner before turning it.

The building only had three floors, and now he got to play the guessing game of where the hell he needed to be. 'This just turned into a long night' He thought to himself as he walked lightly. If he was discovered one of two things would happen, he could mange to get away and that wasn't likely with the floor plans changed up, or he'd be killed on sight. Both ideas sounded like the worse outcome possible for him. If he got a say in the matter he'd rather not be found out till he got to where the king was.

Though he was disrupted by his thoughts as he heard voices though he couldn't tell what room they were from and then a second set of voices were heard. These sounded like they were in the hallway. He had the thought that he could kill the guards to silence them, but that'd hardly solve anything. 'Tsk damn my luck' He said to himself as he stayed behind a corner hearing the voices growing closer and closer.

It seemed the voices came from a group of three guards making the rounds of the floors. He needed to confront them, if they walked upon him then they'd strike without a second thought. He waited a few more moments before he saw the tip of the guard's spear tip that was walking the furthest in front. He gave it a few more seconds to have time to grab the weapon near the blades end and free it from the guard probably trying to disable the guard in the process.

His heart was pounding he had to admit this was the most excitement he'd had in a long while knowing if he failed that was it. 'Now' He told himself as he quickly forced a hand out grabbing the end of the weapon and quickly stepping just enough to put strength behind the grab to flip the guard onto his back. The other two had already drawn their swords by this process as he held onto the spear and used it a few times to block the weapons. 'Geese this is damn cute.. ' He thought blocking the blows, a dark elf defensive fighting let alone against people who wanted nothing better then to run him through. The guard on the ground started to get up but he quickly solved that as he spun the weapon so the blunt end was downward and slammed it into his chest to wind him. "Stay down!" He growled at him returning his focus to the other two.

Backing around a corner he got the position he wanted as he flipped the weapon again forcing the blunt end towards the hand of the first one to cross the boundaries of the corner and jammed the pole into his hand forcing him to release the blade. In almost the same movement he jerked the pole upwards and then down upon the man's head. The last man quickly crossed the corner as well though by this time Rhyldrin had made his to put his back towards the direction he had been walking in before. At the least this way he could just turn and move forward once he was done.

The man charged forward but was quickly met in the stomach with the blunt end of the spear. Drawing the weapon back again he quickly slammed it against his stomach again and forced the man against the wall as the back of his head hit it. Though seeing as there was no blood he figured the guy would be ok.

Panting a bit after this he kept the weapon steady trying to get his breath back before speaking "damn.. that worked out a bit better then I could have hoped.. but what the hell do they teach you in combat school here!" He couldn't get over that he just took out three royal guards with the blunt end of a spear, let alone he wasn't even that skilled with a staff weapon. He stayed there a moment before tossing the weapon to the ground still getting the rest of his breath back.

Judith was in mid speech when the light elf that had escorted her entered the room in a panic. "Sire," she seemed to be out of breath. Had she been running? "There's been a commotion in the castle. There's an intruder!" when Bryon looked at her he seemed more annoyed than concerned. "I know," he said to her. Her face became twisted with confusion. "How did you-" she stopped and looked over at Judith who seemed tense. "You! You knew all along? If you had told us that there would be an intruder then he wouldn't have even gotten in to the castle!" Bryon raised an eyebrow at her outburst. "He isn't a threat," he said to her calmly. "If Judith knew that he was a threat then she would have informed us earlier." the woman hesitated to speak but she shot Judith a look.

Judith brought herself to stand in front them and looked up at Bryon. "He doesn't wish to shed blood, if he must defend himself then he will but he won't shed any blood tonight." she said to him. He heard what she had said but was worried that she might be wrong. "Are you certain?" he asked her. Judith didn't speak, she nodded. "Alright, this is an unusual circumstance but I believe Judith. I don't think that she would allow someone who she knew was dangerous to get this far." he gave the woman a look, warning her to not speak anymore.

"What shall I do then, sire? Escort him to you?" she didn't want to believe what was happening, but it was. Bryon was too kind and he trusted people too much. If he was lucky then he would live another few years. Bryon nodded at her question. "Yes, bring him to me. I will speak to him," he paused for a moment then spoke once more. "I want some guards outside of the room, just in case but I don't think that I will need help if something goes wrong." the female nodded and left the throne room in a hurry. Bryon looked down at Judith as they were left alone. "Now, may I ask why you trust this Dark Elf so much?" Judith smiled nervously. "It's a long story." she replied.

Getting his wind back he started to walk away from the three seeing as two of them were starting to move again. 'Geese that made too much noise...' Though after taking a few steps he stopped again before sighing heavily "For fucks sake!" He said aloud seeing as there were five more guards in front of him. 'they are worse then flys i swear there wasn't anyone on this floor mere seconds ago' He was getting ready to give this group the same treatment when a woman stepped out in front of the guards and they didn't seem to do anything aside be in the ready stance to attack.

Staying his ground he seemed to watch the woman questioning this a little. she seemed about as pleased as he was to have this face off. She cleared her throat before speaking seeing as Rhyldrin didn't strike out at them. "The king wishes to have a audience with you... though I hardly know why he trusts you that close" She seemed tense though he could hardly blame her.

He could hardly get over what the hell he just heard, how the hell did they know that quickly that he was here? Surely there wasn't that much security magic in the works in this place... though he could be wrong. "Though I'll have to ask you to hand over any weapons you have.." She said coldly towards him, though he smirked a little at how odd this was about to sound. "I'd love to hand them over if I had any on me" He said in his normal fashion of being a smart ass about it.

She frowned a little hardly trusting him but for now she'd have to take his word as she told him to follow her. He did so though the guards made him a little uneasy, though at the same time he probably did the same for them seeing as he had just taken out three of the royal guards with no weapon so to speak. As they walked the woman went over guide lines and rules and how to address the king. Rhydrin rolled his eyes a little, he had dealt with his own queen before, though he hardly could stand the formalities and this guy would either listen or not, though he'd still be respectful..so long as he thought he deserved it.

They walked a little longer before she stopped at two large doors where a few more guards were at, his would be bad if a fight did break out or one of these idiots started something. She walked into the room where Judith and the King was at before bowing and informing his highness they had brought the intruder. Once he gave her the ok she went back out to fetch him and the guards. Though he was going to be in for a shock once he saw who else was there and he was annoyed that the guards were watching him like damn hawks. "Are they really unnecessary... Even with them here if I wanted to I could have taken care of them..." He sighed a little getting a scowl from the woman "Watch your mouth! Speaking ill of the royal guard." He smirked a bit "well then train them better.. when they can be taken out by the blunt end of a spear I hardly would call your precious king 'safe'." Yep he was still himself.. that was certain.

Though he wasn't going to keep running his mouth, it was just too fun to torment the woman. Switching his attention to the King of the light elves he bowed slightly probably the first gesture towards promising this was to be as peaceful a meeting as possible. Though his attention quickly picked up that Judith was here as he stood there and blinked a few times. 'You know what... I don't want to know' he thought to himself. Though Vrine could hardly keep silent this time as the dragon poked it's head from Judith's pouch and let out a chirp, it was rewarded with a slight frown from Rhyldrin, he knew he had trained the dragon better what he hell had she done to it in half a years time.

Judith smiled nervously at Rhyldrin, she had not told him what she intended to do or that she was on good terms with the king. He probably would have told her to not get involved, it might have been dangerous coming here after all. Though Judith knew that the king wouldn't think of her as a traitor for being friends with a Dark Elf. One of the rules on the battlefield were to kill a Dark Elf as soon as you saw one but the king hadn't been the one to make it nor did he want to enforce it.

Bryon excused the female Light Elf when she seemed done arguing with Rhyldrin. When the doors closed behind her he cleared his throat to speak. "Judith came to me and told me that you wanted to speak to me. I didn't believe it at first, I have never met a Dark Elf who was willing to have a chat with me." he paused to breath then continued. "It's refreshing to be honest. I like the idea of us talking rather then trying to kill each other. It's time for change. I don't even know why the war is still going on." he breathed out a heavy sigh. "Though it seems that there end is not near thanks to a certain man." Brishen watched what he said in front of Judith. The last thing that he wanted to do was upset her.

Bryon was much taller than the other Light Elves. Males were known to be taller than females, the average height for a male was 5'5 but Bryon stood at 5'11 without his boots. With his boots he was a few more inches taller. His hair was also a dark color rather than a light color. Sapphire blue hair laid upon his head. Though he did have two characteristics that other Light Elves had. He was fair and his eyes were as white as snow.

He looked back at Judith unsure if he should continue or not. He felt as if he were rambling. "Well, it seems that I've been talking all this time." he said with a laugh. "I'm suppose to be listening to you, not the other way around. Forgive me." he looked back at Rhyldrin and smiled. "Please do speak, I'm interested in what you have to say. If you have Judith's trust then you have mine as well." Bryon looked at Rhyldrin eager to hear what he had to say. From what Judith told him she owed him quite a bit for saving her life more than once. It was nice to hear what he had done for Judith, it gave him a better understanding of why she trusted him so much.

It was sad though to see the way Rhyldrin's eyes lit up with he saw the woman. It was how Bryon looked at her as well. Bryon felt sad for the Dark Elf. He knew that they could never be together. It wasn't as if Bryon doubted that he could make her happy or that he would treat her right. It wasn't even that he himself had fallen for Judith, he wasn't jealous. Bryon would certainly not mind seeing a Light Elf happily be with a Dark Elf but others would raise an eyebrow at the sight. Judging was what people did best after all. If the Dark Elf really did love her then he would know what the best thing to do was.

He was going to question as to what the hell she was doing here, but decided against it. What did it matter though she could have given him a heads up.. he probably could have avoided the little brawl with the guards. Oh well a little late now to worry about it. Vrine chirped against before wiggling his way out of the pouch he had been in and flopping out of it onto the floor with a slight thud. The dragon hissed once at the floor before happily righting it's self and walking over to Rhyldrin.

He stood there silent as ever listening to the light elf king ramble on and on, though it was under odd circumstances they were meeting let alone not drawing blades at one another's throats. Surely the fact that Rhyldrin was even here made the guards nervous and anyone else who had heard reports of who had killed the last king. Though if anyone ever asked him he'd quickly tell them it was justified. He was sort of getting over the fact the king was so chatty let alone not as short as most of his kind. Though he could tell one thing right off the bat.. the king had someone for Judith. He was far from stupid and it wasn't common for royals to just chat freely with common bloods. Really this fact sort of made him feel better about the plan he had to get the dark elves to cut the attack off. This way he knew someone would at least be there for Judith, someone that could give her whatever life she wanted.

The king was still going on at this point when he finally gave in and kneeled down picking the dragon up before sitting the creature on his shoulder. It seemed happy enough with it's perch as it cooed lightly and flipped it's tail back and forth. 'Tsk your spoiled... ' He couldn't believe that over half a years time she had ruined most of the training he had given the creature, not that it could have been helped besides that it might have been for the better. though the king caught his attention again going on as he said sorry for talking so much.

He gave him a rather odd look before speaking. "Given the circumstances I probably deserve more then my ear being talked off heh... Though.. you are a odd one." He paused a moment, this guy didn't seem too easy to offend so he wasn't as worried about what manner he spoke in, and really he wouldn't have cared anyway. "Saying sorry to someone who just broke into your capital and made a fool of your royal guards by beating them with the blunt end of a spear... " He shrugged a little "to each their own though, I don't really enjoy talking that much so by all means keep going. Though you have a weeks time before the Queen of the dark elves reaches the front lines."

Quickly crossing his arms before he went on he noticed he really hated being the center of attention when it came to situations like this. "The Queen's eldest daughter will be here with her troops in less then three days from now and the Queen herself will be here in a weeks time with the main force, and pretty much all of the clans combined into one massive force." He paused a second seeing as he had both of their attention fully by this information. "But the Queen wanted to avoid war from the start, there's a reason she didn't start off with attacking the capital of the light elves. It was needed bloodshed, you can say all you wish about how heartless my kind can be but we still have standards as far as battle goes." The fact that most light elves did think such things sort of annoyed him and he was sure most of the royal guards if not the king himself thought the same thing.

"But at the moment we find our selves in a situation where both sides don't want to fight, currently the Queen is waging this war to avenge her youngest falling to the assault on the dark elf capital." He hated talking this much and he wasn't sure he should be giving out this much information even. But what choice did he have, letting it go then both sides would kill one another. He seemed to hesitate before going on, he had a way to get the queen to listen to him and he was highly against the idea but he wasn't going to spare that much detail.

"I just need your word... you have to prove to her that you and your kind wants peace" He was dead serious with this "But to even get close to her location you have to have someone she trusts... I have a way to make it happen" His expression changed a little like he detested the thought. "But it's your choice, I'm not going to tell you how to rule, I hardly care" He was being honest at least aside from details, and one of the hints towards what he was planning as a way to get to the Queen's good side again should have been from him telling Judith she was going to make whatever man she choose in her life happy.

He waited there for the light elf king's answer, he needed it before he went out on a limb and risked anything to get this plan into motion. The queen's daughter should be a little under three days time from here, he needed to get to her first before anything else could fall into place.

Bryon watched the little dragon curiously though he didn't make any comments about it or ask questions. It seemed as if Judith had been hiding it from him and the others, scared of what they would do. That was the only explanation for this and Rhyldrin must have been the owner for it to go to him so eagerly.

"I never wanted it to come to this and of all places to attack he had to attack your home." Bryon sounded disgusted as he spoke. He paused for a moment collecting himself, this was a lot to take in. "I want peace between the Elves," he looked at Rhyldrin, he didn't break eye contact. "You have my word." he was sincere about this. When Bryon became the new king he had a lot of weight on his shoulders. It was time to get rid of it. It was time to make his people live happily rather than live in fear. He no longer wanted everyone to recognize Dark Elves as the enemy. Bryon reached out his hand and waited for Rhyldrin to take it.

Bryon was silent for a moment then spoke again. "If you would allow me to help you," he smiled at the Dark Elf. "You may stay the night here in one of my guest rooms and I will have food brought to you and water. You came all the way here and it's the least I can do to help you. It would be good that you were well rested and fed before you left." he turned and looked at Judith. "You can stay in a room as well," Judith seemed a bit confused by his offer. Though she accepted it without hesitation. "Do you wish to say anymore? If not then I will have a guard escort you to a room."

He seemed to be taking his own thoughts in on this ruler of the light elves, seeing as he was one of the few who had contact with the previous he knew what he was looking for. Though he was glad to find he didn't find what he was expecting not from watching his movements and eyes through the whole conversation. "I'll pass that along as well.." He said towards the comment that he never wanted it to come to this, by that he figured that Judith's brother had acted upon his own accord, no leader who was willing to hear the other side out would have ordered such a attack to slay the weak and young.

He seemed to make a few last minute judgments before accepting the hand that was extended. "... first you need to pull back any guards from the forest edge, it asking for any of the younger soldiers to test their luck before the main force arrivals." Really he only suggested it because it's something he would have done at a younger age, and so he figured there were probably a few others that were hot blooded and ready to strike out for what had happened to their home.

Though the offer was a kind one, t was hardly Rhyldrin's style to stay anywhere for a extended period of time. It made him uneasy at the idea of being within four walls if it got right down to it, there was never a place to retreat if things got out of hand if you put yourself in such a corner. He shook his head towards the offer he wasn't trying to be rude really but he had a time limit and he already knew his task wasn't going to be something he'd enjoy.

"I'm going to pass on that.. I still have a bit of a clock to beat to even find out if the first part of my plan works." He sighed a little, he knew his plan but he wasn't going to say it aloud in front of Judith. To the king alone he might be more willing but not with her in the room, even knowing he had no chance it still felt like he was betraying her for some reason at the mere thought of it. He did manage to force a bit of a smirk though at his next comment trying to hide what his thoughts were at the moment. "Besides what fun is it to be escorted, I'd rather test my luck against the archers again." Oddly he was being serious as ever with his comment, aside from that his weapons were still on the roof of the building next to this one.

Walking over to Judith he took Vrine from his shoulder and handed the dragon back off to her. "turning a dragon into a house pet... what am I going to do with both of you" He sighed shaking his head, he expected it this way though. After she had the dragon once more he returned his attention tot he king and owed slightly. "if it suits you then.. I'll take my leave in my own manner to go deal with the enraged queen and get my throat slit in the process..." His words had a cryptic meaning and he was sure that neither of them would pick up on it so he felt it was safe enough to say it in the open.

"I understand, I wish you luck on your journey." he walked towards the doors and opened them. A few guards stood around, they looked away from the doors and stood straight as they were opened. "I want you to know that your always welcomed here. If you find yourself with no where to go then you may come to see me. You know where the throne room is, don't be shy to even sneak in since you do like the thrill of it." Bryon laughed quietly to himself, he looked at the guards outside. They were still confused as to why Bryon was speaking to a Dark Elf. "You may leave any way that you wish to, through the door or even from where you entered." he threw back his shoulders shrugging.

Bryon looked at Rhyldrin and hesitated to speak again. "Tell the queen that she is welcomed here too, if she wants my help then she will have it, if she needs resources then my resources will be hers as well. I want her to know that I'm a better king than that other man, I don't want to breed hatred. I want us to co-exist." he turned away from Rhyldrin and looked over his guards. He didn't care if they heard him, they would have to learn to accept Dark Elves. It would no longer tolerate discrimination.

Judith took Vrine in her hands gently and laughed at Rhyldrin's comment. It was the first time she had shown emotion since she became quiet during his conversation with Bryon. "I know," she said and scratched under Vrine's chin. "I've spoiled him too much and now he really is more of a cat than a dragon." she felt bad that she had done that to Rhyldrin's dragon. She knew that he had trained Vrine but because she didn't know how to keep up such training Vrine didn't act as a dragon should. Judith felt saddened when Rhyldrin refused the offer, she had planned to speak to him once more alone before he left. It worried her that he would be going alone and she remembered that the queen's daughter had branded him as a traitor. When Bryon seemed to be minding to himself she leaned in close to Rhyldrin's ear. "Come see me before you go? If you don't mind, I understand if you don't want to." she whispered to him. She brought herself away from him, not allowing him to reply. Judith looked down at Vrine as he whined, she had stopped scratching him and he wanted her attention.

"heh.." He thought a moment at the wishing of luck "I'll need it, at the least this should clear my name once it all blows over" He didn't truly give a damn if he was branded a traitor or not but for conversation sake it was worth mentioning. He continued listening to the king following him to the doors, though the guards outside of them seemed nervous seeing the two together. He closed one eye lazily watching this little event between the two. "you know... maybe you should train your knights better. I'd be nice to expect a challenge somewhere" he was merely joking but the two guards seemed to shoot him a glare of daring him to try, if was worth the reaction from them as he smirked a bit. Though truth be told if all went well enough with the plan he probably wouldn't be fighting and try to take up his previous line of work, if at all possible.

"Well if this goes as we'd like then I shouldn't have to sneak back in now will i?" he had a point, though he had to admit he'd miss the thrill tonight had been one of the more exciting nights he had to admit. Walking past the guards he stopped and turned and look at them a moment before crossing his arms again. "I still stand by what I said train more" It was probably almost funny to see him scolding the royal guards for not being at the top of their game. "You have a important job, even if pace comes between the elves there's other clans and then the humans and a handful of other races would' love the chance to take out your leader" He shrugged slightly, it was a fair enough warning really and he was right even if the light elves and dark elves had peace between them... there'd still probably be a while before all the minor feuds settled.

Returning his attention to the king he nodded a little "I'll tell her, I think.. She'll be glad to hear those words more then anything. But you don't have to tell me your a better man then the last.. I know this for a fact. If I thought other wise I would have treated you the same way as the last one." He said it a little coldly at the end but it was true. He paused though before going on he wanted to clear his name with the light elves seeing as to their side he had the name of king slayer. "But then again I might not ave, the last one was for revenge ... though killing him was hardly as satisfying as I thought it'd be.." He shrugged slightly at it, but at the least he wasn't king anymore and couldn't do the same thing to others either.

"I've noticed... what are you going to do when he grows up and wants to sit in your lap then?" Though he was joking he'd hope to return the dragon to it's proper home before that time came. He noticed her eyes seemed to change like she was upset at the fact she had done it. "don't worry about it, he's still a hatchling, it'll be another 5 years before you have to worry about him breathing magic and really telling you when he wants attention." He smirked a little though he hardly looked forward to that.. and it was one of the main reasons he wanted to return the dragon to it's proper place. Hearing what she said he gave her enough of a hint that he had heard her, he wished she'd stop saying if he wanted to though. Of course he'd see her, it might be his last chance to see her as far as he knew. Or at least see her with his freedom... he didn't need to worry her with that though.

Bowing once more to the king out of respect he took his leave of both of them walking down the hall, he was intending to leave the way he came in. But really it was due to his weapons and otherwise it'd be a long way around to get to the building they were on. Once he was back outside and on the roof he had left them he quickly grabbed the daggers and placed them back into each holder. Then this was followed by fastening his swords to him again, like hell he was going to confront the queen or her children without a weapon. Though he sat there for a moment, what did Judith want anyway, not to say he minded seeing her but.. he had enough on his mind without distracting himself and making him hate his choice even more. 'tsk idiot, let it go you can't make her happy anyway and your both friends keep it that way...' he scolded himself, he figured he'd give her a little while to get to whatever room she had been given for the night. He had a general idea of the building layout and there wasn't but so many guest rooms in the place, he'd figure it out seeing as most of them didn't have anyone staying in them. It'd just be following what room had lights on.

When Rhyldrin had left Bryon showed Judith to her room, he even ended up giving her a small bed meant for a dog so that Vrine could sleep in it. Though she highly doubted that Vrine would want to sleep alone, he enjoyed curling up to her in her bed. Judith liked it too, it was nice to pet him until she fell asleep and to listen to him purr. The room was rather large compared to what Judith had at her parent's home. There was a massive bed with luxurious pillows and blankets, two side tables with candles, there was dressers and other hand crafted furniture. There was even a door that led to a room with a tub. Bryon had spoiled her by allowing her to stay. He must be smitten with me, she thought and let out a heavy sigh. I don't know why else he would treat me this way.

Judith had taken a bath and now sat at a dresser with a large mirror. She wore an almost too small night gown that Bryon had given to her. He had taken her clothes to have them washed. Vrine had crawled on to her lap and was playing with her hair as she brushed it. She looked down at him, raising an eyebrow at his behaviour. "Stop that," she said attempting to scold him. Vrine whined and nuzzled his head against her stomach. "Vrine, I can't always give you attention. I need time for myself." the little dragon leaped from her lap and hissed at her. "Hey!" she yelled at him and narrowed her eyes. Vrine scampered to the bed that had been put out for him and hid under the sheets.

Her ears perked up as she heard a sudden noise she stood from where she sat and wandered over to the window. Her eyes looked out in to the darkness, was Rhyldrin there?" she opened the window and poked her head out. Judith brought her hand out, holding a candle in it. "Rhyldrin?" she called and looked around. He better not be trying to scare me, she thought. I'll hurt him if he does. Vrine poked his head out from where he lay and looked up at her.
