Well, now that I'm exclusively playing Trinity Universe instead of flip-flopping between it and Assassin's Creed, I'll probably be on my PS3 more, at least for a while. The game seems like it's going to be fairly lengthy.

Oh, and just got to chapter 4. Yet another new battle mechanic introduced. I have to say, the battle system is pretty awesome once you unlock most of it. It seemed kind of dull in the beginning, but now that I can chain combos across characters and do Super-Awesome Anime-Cutscene EX-Release-Attack Limit-Break Special Moves (tm), it's really fun just to get into battles and see what my party is capable of.

First some FaceBook friends and now you are making me want games again, this one sounds REALLY good. Did you figure out if the PS3 was stealing your laptop's internet still?

It seems like when I first log on to PSN it kicks my laptop offline, but if I shut my laptop and open it again, it'll connect and they'll both be able to get access. It's not that big of a problem, just an annoyance.

Also, another thing I find kind of odd about TU is just how much damage I'm doing (for being so early in the game) and how much hp the enemies have. With my whole team going all out, I'm already breaking 100,000 damage a turn with nearly 300 chained hits. And I'm only level 30, in the 4th chapter of the game. Talk about a power curve.

Is there a picture on the back of the box touting how mch damage you can do, like Disgaea does? xD But 100k total damage at only level 30 seems like the higher damage is going to be way up there oO

No, actually, oddly enough.

And I heard people over a GameFAQs talking about postgame mages being able hit for 700k per spell and, depending on how high AP gets with later equipment... well, I can cast three spells per turns where I am right now. I wouldn't be surprised if you could cast as many as 10 by the end of the postgame.

I shudder to think of how much HP those super-bosses are going to have...

I remember the first time I played Valkyrie Provile and being amazed at the characters having 10k+ HP at level 1, and then later in the game doing 100k+ per hit with spells and the like. Then I got introduced to Disgaea later and it's sequels and it just shattered all my perceptions xD

From the little I heard of Disgaea 4, the damage is going to be like nothing ever seen before. I think the word "quadrillion" was mentioned. :D

I think the max damage that could be done in Disgaea 2 was "merely" 86 billion or so. I'd have to check :P

I think the record in Disgaea 3 was a couple hundred billion. I can't imagine they'll really have it go into the quadrillions, but maybe trillions, if they bring in even more multipliers for attack power.

I can imagine the metagame being even more intense this time around too. I'm not sure I'm up to putting in a ton of hours on another one, I really want to go back to Disgaea 2 on the PSP and finish up that one and get some buffness going there ><

Oh, my. I just went on PSN to check Trinity Universe's DLC. So. Much. Stuff. And it's all so cheap! There are even a half-dozen free packs.

Not gonna buy anything yet, though. Need to do some research on the packs first.

Yea I took a look at what was available the other night. Also for Chaos Edge ^^; But I'm not going to download anything until I actually get the games. Funny thing is that when I finally get a job and income I won't actually have time to play at all probably x.x

Well, the free stuff was mostly items and synth materials it looks like. A couple special dungeons, too, but they're level 100+ so I'll have to wait to give them a try.

I beat my first lurker today, I'm so proud of myself. :p He was level 2. 2! And he still nearly killed my level 40 party. I'm finding the best way to fight bosses in this game is to build up AP for three turns and then let loose with absolutely everything and hope it's enough to kill them. The payoff in extra damage from chaining three turns of attacks together is worth it, to me, though it requires being able to weather the enemy's attacks until I'm ready.

Okay, a level 2 almost killing a level 40 poarty is kind of scary oO But the rewards were well worth it right?

Yeah, he was worth of ton of experience, and I got about a dozen item, though I have no idea what any of them are for. :p

And the level thing is kind of deceptive, I think. The level is whatever the dungeon's level is, and Lurkers are way stronger than all the other monsters in the dungeon, even the boss.
