~Kat climbs up into the Treehouse and settles into a huge armchair with lots o' cushions~
I'm back >.< Wow, youse guys got this place fixed up nicely whilst I was away! ~Kat throws Ducky a bag of bread crumbs~ I can add an Alexander Keith's to that if ya want one ^_^ Thanks for cleaning up after the Squirrelly One C: My youngest child, Smokey, looks like she's part squirrel - and acts like it, too. We call her "Rocky the Flying Squirrel Cat" XD I'll go see if I have pics of her up on photobucket. If I do, I'll post one here ^_^ So, does anyone know the character limit per post? I ask because I really love the idea you guys came up with - posting on the First Page each member's personal story so that they don't have to keep re-typing it whenever someone asks ^_^ However, with only two reserved posts on the First Page, we may run out of room if each post has a character limit. So, other than {possibly rabid} Squirrels and Ducks and other crazies running about, how is everyone doing? I've had a pretty rough time this past week, but I'm staring to feel am upswing coming. *YaY!* Hi! I'm Kat! Well, I had my test today. It was pretty easy, once I got a pillow situated in the right way under my lower back. I actually came close to falling asleep! The tech said everything looked pretty good, but the doctor will have to go over the result to be sure.

But I do have OCD and 3 anxiety disorders, and a learning disability. I was on meds for my OCD and anxiety disorders but towards the end of last year I had a horrible sucidal reaction to one of my meds and now I refuse to go back on my meds unless I can get on a non anti depressant. Those things are... BAD. I know I need to go back on my meds eventually but I wanna look into holistic remedies for them first and try those out before I even tempt anything else. Plus with my buddhist vows it's hard to take meds. I had my OCD since I was a child but it didn't get bad until about 12 yrs ago. Went 10+ years in hell with no meds until I snapped one day and tried choking my husband twice from him touching my mouth... That was a sign that I needed help right away and I got it. Was on meds for over a year before I started to go on and off of them. Now it's just a matter of if I want to go against my vow and if I want to trust meds again. I hope I can find a home here too besides my elderly home. LOL. »·,´·˙(´·˙¸ ¸˙·,)˙·,´•·˙·,¯´·˙·• •·˙·,¯´·˙·•╭☆╯•·.·´¯`·.·• •·.·´¯`·.·•´`·.(`·.¸ ¸.·´).·´`·» uǝʇʇoƃɹoɟ puoʎǝq sı ɔıƃɐɯ ɟo ǝʌol ǝɥʇ

Thanks, Faux-Faux :3 *noms on Faux's head*
Saiyouri, have you gone to an acupuncturist? I've recently read just a smidge about people with severe depression using Chinese medicine instead of drugs... and that wouldn't go against your Buddhist vows, right? I've thought about acupuncture for my myriad aliments, but I can't bring myself to do it. I have a debilitating phobia of needles, to the point where I don't even get my blood work done more than once a year even thought I'm on several drugs which could be damaging my liver and/or kidneys. I do submit to ONE blood test a year- but only because my doc won't complete my disability paperwork if I don't. :/ Plus, diabetes runs on both sides of my family- both of my Mom's parents have/had it (my maternal grandfather died at age 48 from complications of diabetes, and I'm now in my 40's). So, Mom and I both promised we would get our blood sugars thoroughly checked yearly ever since I was in college. I've only had one test come back high, and it was because (like an idiot) I had waffles with syrup before my blood test *face palm* Anyways... back to the point... Western medical providers are starting to see how Traditional Chinese Medicine actually DOES line up with Western Medicine. My Dad-in-law has Failed Surgery Syndrome from having most of his neck vertebrae fused in 2010. His health care provider (Workers Comp) is paying for him to go to an acupuncturist. I thought that was some really forward thinking on his case *nod* My husband-creature is a trained Massage Therapist, and much of his schooling integrated Chinese Medicine into massage techniques and client care. Ya know, massage therapy might help you, as well. Back when I was on private insurance, I was going every other week for medical massage in my rheumatologist's office. It helped not only with pain an mobility, but also with mood (I've been diagnosed with Clinical (Major) Depression since I was 19 and have been on meds ever since. My mood swings calmed down quite noticeably whilst I was in massage therapy. I'd suggest at least checking it out :3 Hi! I'm Kat! That might be a good idea for me. I thankfully don't have the same fear as you do *huggles* I just hope my insurance will cover something like that. *better check that part out for sure* Thank you for those ideas, I would never of thought to check those out. I am really sorry to hear that things are that bad for you though. I wish there was something that I could do for you to help you out. *huggles* I honestly hate how medical problems run in the family. !_! »·,´·˙(´·˙¸ ¸˙·,)˙·,´•·˙·,¯´·˙·• •·˙·,¯´·˙·•╭☆╯•·.·´¯`·.·• •·.·´¯`·.·•´`·.(`·.¸ ¸.·´).·´`·» uǝʇʇoƃɹoɟ puoʎǝq sı ɔıƃɐɯ ɟo ǝʌol ǝɥʇ
