Iced coffee is great for hot weather, but I drink it way too fast. I like sipping my coffee so it lasts longer. /still working on my 34-ounce mug from this morning

I like tea, but not nearly as much as I like coffee.

I miss coffee soooooooo much, but I'm off caffeine entirely and decalf is just not worth it just for the taste.

Nooo, anything but decaf! D: I actually have quit coffee before, last summer, so I know I can quit if I want to. There are just withdrawal headaches for like three days and then I'm fine. If my money situation ever gets really tight again, I will quit, but otherwise I haven't seen much reason to. Caffeine's not actually harmful, it's just addictive.

I would have killed for caffeine headaches as my withdrawal symptom. Instead I didn't sleep for three months. That, that was less than fun. And I was seriously addicted, I was drinking so much caffeine that I probably came close to shutting down all my insides.

Maybe it varies from person to person, because I'd been drinking a shitton of coffee every day for over ten years and I quit on a whim with minimal trouble. xD Good for you for quitting even through all that. I love to see people push themselves through tough challenges, especially when there is a constructive goal in mind, but even if there's not.

Like, so much caffeine that your body is pumping out a harmful dose of adrenaline that causes your heart race nearly to exhaustion? I never thought that was possible. o___o

to give you an idea about the amount of caffeine I drank on a daily basis:
One pot of coffee in the morning(about four large mugs)
One to three vente starbucks
One to three 20oz mountain Dews
Four to six Diet Cokes

That was every day. And I had been doing it for about...eight years? prior to that it wasn't AS bad, maybe half as many cans of soda, but still as much coffee.
And insofar as I know, that much stimulants is bad on your liver, kidneys and other assorted internal workings. I know a doctor told me I would probably do less damage to my liver if I became an alcoholic.

I adore green tea, and it's nice that teas are easy to find in decaf, or make into decaf on your own. Have you tried just asking a manager what blend they ues? I used to go to a vietnamese place that used a green lemongrass and jasmine blend...it was amazing.
