Wormwood, in the Book of Revelation, is a "star" that falls into the ocean and makes 1/3 of the earth's water undrinkable. It's actually a metaphor for "times of strife" layered over itself about three times.
In the RP, just assume it's some kind of element in the water, not radioactive, just highly poisonous. How did it get there? The same way the sun no looks like a pie-piece. Edit: Suzerain knows less about drinks than Espy. :p Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

-points out the fact that Suze is older than her and wouldn't seem strange reading up on drinks-

Well, it actually would seem strange, since I'm pretty vocal about not drinking, but... then again, I don't use a shared computer. On the other hand, I wouldn't even know what to look for. "Post-apocalyptic Drinks" was a rather disappointing Google search. :p
Regardless, though, Dante asked Fee and Jeanne to order. If neither of them know what to do, either, we can probably just fast-forward past the issue. :p Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion between supposed lovers. Between supposed brothers.

In my (two) visits to a drinking establishment, I've found that Long Island Iced Teas are pretty good. Not they're strong without any warning, so watch out. There's a potent mix of stuff without the flavor to indicate it. You can be on your third one by the time the alcohol hits you. And third is where I stayed, and I will probably never drink that again.

Aw, nobody wants Rue and Lev back... xD
Also, if there's still potatoes or any kind of starchy vegetable in the apocalypse, I'm sure vodka will still be a choice.

Jeanne's knowledge of alcohol is limited to wine, but I guess she's up for trying new things. xD
Sorry for being really absent lately, you guys.

Aaaaaaaand I got distracted by Yu Yu Hakusho. Darn the KoC for bringing it up. -rage-
And I've managed to wasted maybe three hours on it. EDIT: And there goes another reason I dislike drinking: It. Burns. Like. Hell. STONEWALL WAS A RIOT

Try a Long Island Iced Tea. It's a strong concoction, but not a strong taste. It's easy to drink. In fact, you're supposed to drink them very slowly, but the lack of a 'strong' taste makes you think that you're some punk that can knock back drinks, so you put back three in less than an hour. You then proceed to do terribly at shuffleboard, and begin to panic because you suspect that your eyes are bleeding. I am not speaking from personal experience at all.

Somewhere, I've heard a dwarven character saying that someone can't hold their mead. So I don't see why not. And we're roleplaying in a world where both God and the Devil are dead, and the minions of both roam the earth while telekenetics and blind motorcycle riding bounty hunters team up for shenanigans. I doubt we'll grind your bones over mead not being a realistic drink.
Now, I do find that White Zinfandel goes great as a symbol of the apocalypse, if you were looking to drink in theme. Cheap stuff gets more bitter the longer it goes on. And honestly, you're good not to drink. I've done it twice, and honestly the drinks were an excuse for socialization...and to use the bar's shuffleboard table.
