I really liked my PS2 and I think the PS2 had better games than the original Xbox. I never had a PS3 and we pretty much only use my husband's Xbox-360 for movies, but I at least know that Xbox has better online/social gaming capabilities. I just hope that the PS4/Xbox 720 are closer competitors. I probably won't get either, but I like keeping tabs on the rivalry. PS3's real success was making Blu-ray win over HDDVD anyway, but they still have some catching up to do.

That we could Ari, but it's a decent chunk of change for me to spend with no real game incentive for it. It is certainly a good system, but not worth it for me right now.

Playstation does have some catching up to do, but it does have the edge of having an integrated Blu-Ray player, whereas Microsoft has as of yet to do anything beyond DVD. Have heard rumors that the next gen Xbox will have Blu Ray, so it should be interesting once they make the announcements for both of their consoles.

And those are the rumored names that fans are circulating for the next generation consoles. No idea what actual names are, but some project names have been leaked (can't remember right now).

I can't really see Play Station deviating from their consistent console names. >w> So I'm going to assume it probably will be PS4. >w>

Xbox I don't know about, nor do I really care since I'll probably never own one. XD

I'd say don't shoot it down. It's a good console, especially with how they have been reacting to their mistakes in previous incarnations and adding new features quite well. Kinect (don't have it myself) is the first to really be successful and as interactive with the console as a whole.

And yeah, it will probably be Playstation 4 (unless Sony wants to really through gamers for a loop) and the Xbox 720 (rumored name for console).
