We did the cheap route too. We got dollar store frames and put some pictures we developed at walmart in them and gave them as the majority of our gifts this year. Thankfully we don't have a lot of debt right now, although we will once my husband gets out of grad school. DX I still don't have a job so money's tight. I made a lot of homemade gifts besides the photos. I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

lol we simply cheated and bought some things from the $5-$10 Christmass shopping section at Wal-Mart. I love doing home made gifts, its just sometimes the home made gifts cost more then items you can buy in stores :/ at least that's how it with me 'cause I'm obsessed with making everything I make look awesome lol

I love the Christmas section at walmart! XD Yeah, sometimes they do cost a lot more. I made sure to get half price remnant fabric and sale items so I could make them cheaply. I'm trying to go without buying any more fabric until I use all the stuff I have, because I kind of went overboard on fat quarters. They're my weakness when they're on sale. xP I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

xD I'm usually not picky with fabric, but I can understand where you're coming from. It takes me forever to find certain kinds of fabric when I want to make something for myself. Awesome! I haven't gotten much into buttons yet, though I did pick up a couple for my gps case I plan on making. They're really cute but I think they were a couple bucks, even on sale. lol my Mom had a hell of a time making my curtains for my bedroom: They are a black silk kind of fabric with gold dragons and phoenixes on them X3 I kind of scared my husband when I suddenly decided that I loved buttons lol. I'm working on a denim purse that's going to have buttons ALL OVER it XD

I really don't like working with silk type fabrics. They're so slippery and hard to iron. >.< That fabric your mom used for your curtains sounds awesome though. I love dragons and phoenixes. xD That purse sounds interesting. I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

That is awesome! I love being in pitch darkness. We can't hang our own curtains at this apartment. It's annoying. :/ That is so cute! What color buttons are you using? I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

They want the curtains to all look the same from the outside, I guess. It's really weird. I think you can actually put up your own curtains over the existing ones, but you can't remove the existing ones at all. They're really picky about how the complex looks. You should post a pic whenever you get the purse done. I'd love to see it. I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

Gah picky people D: lol I will, if I ever get off my lazy butt and finish it XD I kinda hit a snag when I was sewing them. I found out that in order to sew them all on the front I'd have to make the front pocket useless D: so now I have to hot glue them to it.

Ah, I see. I hope it works out. I've never really used hot glue much. I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.

Ah, that might be a problem. DX Maybe there's a stronger form of glue that would work better? I dunno. Thank you! I'm very pleased with it. :3 The glasses on your avi make me think of John Lennon. I have to leave for good now. Giving away my stuff to random people.
