Keep it together by How to Destroy Angels. Yes, the song title is intentionally informally capitalized -- seems the band shunned the concept of formalized titling.

And I'll probably be replying to this topic relatively often, considering I listen to a lot of music and... don't really know what to contribute to much of anything else. C'est la vie.

I listened to Blue Foundation before their song Eyes on Fire was featured relatively prominently in the first Twilight film -- that hasn't detracted from listening to that song to me. Whether something is or is not featured in popular media (even if that media is absolute tripe) really shouldn't have any effect on the original work. I know that's really personal and subjective, of course -- I've always been able to separate the work from the artist, and likewise the work itself from the context in which it's featured (especially if that context is capable of contaminating it rather than enhancing).

I couldn't possibly care less about Guns & Roses, but not knowing of Pink Floyd is absolutely, certifiably criminal.

And... now I'm going to listen to Eyes on Fire, since I'm thinking about it now. That's still a fantastic song.

Some times I just feel music loses its tastes after a certain amount of time, just like movies do. I mean I still listen to Muse no matter what. I still buy their albums and support them. It was cool of them to record music for a series of poorly written literature mutating into expressionless movies. *cough*

However, Guns&Roses seems overrated, but I grew up on classic rock. I don't listen to them a whole lot nowadays, but it just amazes me that people choose to support something they've never heard of. On the other hand, no harm done, right?

On a side note, I am now listening to Aural Vampire. So amazing.

Om nom nom nom!!

That I certainly understand. The albums that I've listened to extensively don't carry the same weight anymore that they used to simply due to the fact that they're now so well-known to me that listening to them adds nothing new to the experience -- and I become bored if there's nothing new.

That's just due to sheer ignorance, of course -- they couldn't have chosen to support something that they didn't know anything about. On the optimistic side of that, though, by mentioning the fact that they're wearing a band shirt, they're at least inclined to find out more about said band (which will, of course, influence whether or not they wear said shirt in the future). And yes, no harm done.

With that said, I'm now listening to Patterns in the Ivy II by Opeth -- absolute, pure beauty.

Breathe by Puscifer. I have an extremely strong love / hate relationship with Puscifer -- the name alone is off-putting to me, and I love Tool, but Puscifer is just... very hit or miss, with a staggering number of misses. This song isn't one of those.

And... I really need to get to sleep; it's daylight.

I love that song. I've had it stuck in my head for days. And when I think it's gone, High School Never Ends takes it place ._.
