I mean the real issue is that with both jobs combined, I can pay my bills, but I don't make enough to put into savings, so I can't just save up and quit. So I'd need to find a third job first, but it's tough to find something that won't make me want to blow my brains out and is also within reasonable walking distance (because I cannot afford a car or to take a cab) of both my apartment and my second job. Especially one that is actually hiring. I did apply at petsmart again recently, but haven't heard back. Might put in at an etsy customer service help call center type thing, since it's near my apartment. I don't know what the hours are like for it, but it might be okay. And, it won't be the greatest job, but I have kind of an in at Ross if I want a job there.

Anyway, my "awesome" for today is that I stopped and picked up a coffee and a pistachio macaron on the way to work.

But yeah, the money thing sucks. It's hard that sometimes to be most efficient with money, you need to start out with a bit of a bankroll.

Have you maybe talked to your other job about more hours? You could also look into things like carpooling, or working from home?

Neither job can or will give me more hours. Occasionally I get a few extra hours at the job I want to leave, but mainly only for big events or occasionally rentals that are scheduled too close together so they need me to come in earlier to help get stuff in order.
And there's really no one for me to carpool with, plus I can't afford to chip in for gas money, so I'd feel guilty about it. And it's pretty much impossible for me to do any work from home stuff. Partly because it's not really that big around here and partly because those generally require a person to have internet, which I can't afford. I mean, I have my internet via my smartphone, but that doesn't really count.
