Rebooting....

I like lyrics that tell a story. Or sound like a conversation. If I can't picture a mini-movie in my head to a song, I tend not to care for it much.

Poconut Overlord
I only catch parts of songs. Lyrics I have to look up. But being a visually oriented individual I like lyrics that provide strong imagery in my mind. And to do that they have to hit an emotional chord with me. So it's more words that have to do with me I guess.

Looking back on my favorite quotes they're about being lost and hurting...but hey how many songs out there have that in a piece of their lyrics? p=

i feel as though lyrics are an important part of music. i get addicted to songs with amazing lyrics or when a songs lyrics have a double meaning. it makes me happy and i easily memorize it. i prefer to sing along with music and it makes it more enjoyable for me. also funny songs are awesome as well. like if the lyrics are humorous it makes me happy XD

heres an amazing song with a double meaning (like i mentioned above)
its by the band "the hush sound" they are an amazing band. practically everyone in the band sings but the main singer is the female. and all the males switch on songs.
This song is "You Are The Moon"

the beginning of the song starts and it pretty much signifies the moon rising. or i take it as a person waking up to their depression.
"Darkness, darkness everywhere, do you feel all alone?
The subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone"
these lyrics mean of course the moon is lonely in the night sky that even though there are stars. they are so very far away. and it also means that the person in depression feels utterly alone with no hope.

the next verse talks about beauty. pretty much they are saying that even though the moon is imperfect and has many faults it is still one of the most beautiful things in the world pretty much. and its saying that even though the person with depression feels "ugly, fat, worthless ect". the last line in the verse tells you that."The shattered surface, so imperfect, is all that you believe"
the last verse is all about someone forcing the person to look at themselves that they are beautiful no matter how they feel its more of an analogy towards the human side of the song. but you can also visualize someone putting a round mirror up at the sky just so the moon can see how beautiful it is. C: this song gives me hope. and i love it so much

pretty much this song is about the beauty in the moon and in everyone. and because someone has scars or imperfections there is always someone out there for you. someone who thinks you are beautiful. someone who thinks the world of you. dont forget that. <3
