Kids are fine, as long as you can give them back! XD

And considering I was up until 4am this morning trying to get her to go to sleep I think that sentiment is what I'm going to stick with... Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter to pieces, but I would also like to sleep... ^_^;;

I know I had bad experiences with my little sis and bro xD
Mom was busy working and I had to take care of them - u -
You can say I got used to being with them! XD

My little sis and bro can sleep themselves even though theyre 3 but they just need to have their favourite blanket or else they will cry XD

Fourth post!

Don't know about kids, myself. I'd love to teach them and encourage them...but I am becoming increasingly aware that the strains of the career area I hope to go into are rather bad for having family in general.

Kids aren't bad, but there is a reason several professions are known for having single or childless members. If you spend your sleeping hours working on sensitive tissue culture in a lab, or writing up complete technical drafts, you most likely don't have as much time to be a quality influence in your child's life.

The thing with me is that I've never really wanted kids and have always felt awkward around them... I have 2 younger sisters and a younger brother but I didn't grow up with them, so our relationships are different from other peoples... (my mum disappeared for 8 years until my 16th birthday and I lived with my nan full time from birth)

I'd say to take your time considering the personal pros and cons of having kids before actually having them and try to be realistic about it all ^_^;; That's probably the best advice I could give...

Law: ah so its the problem of studies/work D: but you know what, I have gone through this situation myself once and now I guess im used to it! :D if you have studies/work music is the best way to finish it quickly and make the children sleep fast without looking after them~
Slow music works the best! :D and if theyre not in the mood to sleep well just let them play with their friends or neighbours! :D

Moon: i never really told them lies to take them to fantasy world but what can we do if they really want to beleive there is santa?
Actually it is their age to beleive these things :3
And its not your fault that you never had experiences with kids, you learn as you grow! :D

Solution to things like Santa Claus: Explain that there was once a man named Nicholas, whose actions of charity were grand enough to be remembered to this day, and that we dress in a modern likeness to celebrate the spirit of giving...so in a sense, children and adults get to be the awesome former saint of sailors, children, and charity.

Sort of how I'd explain most things like that. Christ being a carpenter who helped the crippled and penniless, a man whose home was also the home of several philosophers (so, an eloquent speaker), a forgiving person for his time, and a Jewish priest who several claim was the son of God.

i think i did pretty well with my daughters, they're 17 and 13 now. the 17-year-old is a sensitive kid who listens to people, but she's really hard on herself. the 13-year-old is a goofy teen fangirl... who loves books! =D

honestly, i don't remember all that much when i was growing up. my mom did the stay-at-home thing, my two younger brothers didn't really bug me allll that much... well, the younger one did, but my parents were quick to blame the ADD. he was a bit of a rambunctious kid, but very smart. i think he's mellowed a bit. heh. that younger brother has been married now for 7 years, the brother in the middle has been married for 10 or 11 years, and they have a 4 year old (i'm an aunt! wee!)

one thing the middle brother said after he'd been at college for a little bit, was that we'd always said our family was weird... but after meeting the people he did and hearing about their families - ours was quite, well, normal.

I never said anything about telling children lies... Or anything about Santa... And I doubt very much that I will...

I am worried about the effect my mental issues may have on my daughter though... Especially as I am the one who is there all day long, looking after her (and we are going through a really rough patch at the moment)...

Also my memory sucks too Trys (I think that has something to do with having kids) XD

I'm 24 and had a little girl nearly 6 months ago now! (where is the time going?) I'd say don't have kids unless you know what you are letting yourself in for (and are really patient) ^_^;;

Here you go,

I'm using my phone right now, I will add the tickets later today when I'm home.

Very true I suppose... *hugs Law* I just seem to spend nearly my whole day either playing with Lilith or just looking at her/watching her... ^_^;;
