It may be what you think... but shine a light in a corner, darkness is still there, you can flood light from every angle, but darkness will always exist...

Without darkness, one could never appreciate the light and light would lose it's meaning if there was nothing else but it. Besides, the shadow games on walls and night can be very beautiful, too, can it not?
