i dunno what happens i think i just got a defective model really.. my ds slim i've had no issues with till recently the bottom screens getting lines but it still works Dx but it's also a few years old now.

And yeah, I guess. Seems like every video game system improves over time. Even the Xbox had issues and now they're mostly straightened out in the newer models. The Red Ring of Death is practically no more!

its funny my friends xbox 360 is a old one an last night he got the red ring of death on it.. we had bought our slim just to play with him xD .....

but yeah the new ones are less likely to die on you lol.. though normally Nintendo systems are pretty stable i mean i still have one of the first Wii's >.> let alone my nintendo an super nintendo xD...

I also have one of the first Wiis. :O I was really surprised and lucky to get mine. Remember how crazy that was? They'd fly off the shelves within minutes. I stumbled upon a restock literally as it was happening, grabbed one, and walked by ten minutes later and they were ALL. GONE. And in my rural area, it was shocking. xD

And my boyfriend's Xbox 360 still works. And it was a launch console. :o I'm sadly on my second one. The first I bought used (also apparently a launch!) and RRoD'd, then had overheating issues. I sold that to a friend who fixed it up and bought an Elite. <3 SO NICE. SO SO SO NICE. Though I am jealous of the slims~ xD

That suuucks about your friend's, too. :( Hopefully he can get it fixed up?

Ha. Same here! My 360, PS2, and Wii are all here. I guess not hooked up (I only have one set of input ports), but it's not hard to just switch out them three wires. They're all plugged in and ready to play otherwise. 8D
