"That I do." Razyn said, nodding. "Isn't too far away from here, and shouldn't be too much of a hassle getting there. Shall I take the reins until we get there?" While his tone remained calm and professional, his tell-tale grin was already spreading across his face. Oh, how he loved horses....they just went ever so fast. But, alas, he couldn't go too fast with the injured little cat back there. No, he'd have to go slower, and takes those silly little things called precautions. Bah.

![]() ![]() Regarding Razyn's expression for just a second or two, Gabriel offered a slight nod, not at all eased with what he found there. He didn't know much about this thief yet, other than the fact that he was trouble waiting to happen. "Please. But if you get any clever ideas, you'll be praying to whatever god you follow that you'd had more self control. Hear me?" Proper magic works with nature and science. "Clever ideas? Oh, I wouldn't dream of it." The words, while meant to be reassuring, were marred by the grin in his face and the laughter behind his tone. "I hear you loud and clear, sir. Nothing will happen, I can assure you." With a rather dramatic and embellished bow, he made his way to the front of the cart, climbing up to take a seat. It'd been so long since he'd done this... shouldn't be too difficult. He picked up the reins, giving a slight shake to get the horse going. Slow and steady, he had to remember that. Slow and steady....for now, anyways.

![]() ![]() Settling a hand lightly on the boy's chest to keep him steady as the cart jerked to a start, Gabriel glanced behind himself to the pair at the front. In reality, there wasn't much that he could do without risking more harm to the strange patient, but he was more than ready to give it his best shot. He shifted carefully more towards the front and, squinting his eyes in the ever creeping darkness, ran his hands over his moved bottles and containers, looking for the one he needed. Slow and steady, slow and steady.... how droll. Razyn was quite sure that this lovely mare could go much faster. What a waste, having to go at such a slow, mundane pace. Ugh. To cut the silence and keep himself at least mildly entertained, he began humming a tune, foot tapping along to keep the tempo steady.

![]() ![]() He grinned to himself when he found the one he needed, lifting it to check its contents in the moonlight. Not much, but it would certainly do. The soft tune drifting back to his ears made his expression falter, but instead of commenting on it, he just turned his attention back down to the boy. Without second thought, he took a measured sip of the none too pleasant medicine, then lowered himself to press his lips to the boy's. It wouldn't take long to reach the inn, something he was thankful for considering he couldn't do much more while they were moving like this. Proper magic works with nature and science. The boy didn't respond for a few moments, but then came to in an explosive bout of coughing and randomly flailing limbs, knocking over some vials and jars before he realized he was safe and calmed down to making slight whimpers every so often, eyes that were a bright yellow darting around and trying to gather exactly where he was. He'd felt the medicine go down his throat, and that, if not the taste, had woken him up - although he was still in a hell of a lot of pain. Hence the whimpering.

![]() ![]() Gabe pulled away as soon as he felt the boy move. He opened his mouth as if to protest as his belongings were spilled and splattered about, but in the end, didn't make a sound of complaint. Pressing a knuckle to the nasion of his nose, he forced his furrowed brows to smooth once more before his gaze settled on his patient. "Easy there. You're bound to make it worse, fussing so much. I'm afraid you just ruined what I had for the pain, though." Proper magic works with nature and science. We simply don't understand enough to see the big picture just yet. ![]() ![]()

The boy trembled there in the back, trying to get himself under control. But when he heard he'd ruined something, slave-mode kicked in, and he immediately tried to get up, roll over, and fix whatever it was that he'd broken. Not only did he wind up making the pain worse, he wound up cutting himself on some of the broken glass, because his hands were shaking far too much to actually pick it up with any sort of dexterity. Of course, he was already whimpering, and a cut hand was nothing compared to the pain his his chest and leg, so he just watched the blood form, eyes wide and scared.

![]() ![]() He puffed out his cheeks slightly and heaved a sigh. He didn't have to think on it long to realize that he'd have to take care of the approach he used with this one. "What did I just tell you-?" he murmured softly, moving to take the catboy's hand gently in his own. "You're fine. It's alright. Now settle, or you really will get into trouble." "I... broke it." he spoke in a scratchy-from-disuse voice, still looking down at his cut hand, and the glass in it, before convulsing from the pain, dropping the glass, and coughing into the cut hand. When he finally stopped coughing, tears were streaming down his face at the pain, at the sheer shame of it all, and because he'd messed up again.
"I broke it..." he said again, sniffling, and using his free arm to wipe the flowing tears from his eyes. "I... I'm sorry. I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

![]() ![]() Gabriel shook his head. "I don't want to hear it." He let go of the boy's hand for the sake of brushing away the broken chunks and slivers of glass, unbothered by the small cuts he gained on his own hand because of the hasty action. He leaned enough to reach over the mess and grab up one of the few still clean cloths he had. Not interested in asking if it was alright, he took a gentle hold of the boy's face to keep him still and went to wiping away the mess on his cheeks. Proper magic works with nature and science. The tears dried easily enough, and so did the blood - from the boy's cheeks. By the time he was done sobbing, though, he was so very exhausted, that he simply flopped onto anything nearby that looked soft, and watched out the back of the wagon as they moved. He couldn't really protest the pain, nor could he do anything about it, so he'd just decided to live with it... But who were these other people, then? One in the front, driving the wagon, the other back here with him.. they smelled strange and unfamiliar. Some of the scents of the powders and concoctions around him hurt his nose, and he sneezed. This definitely wasn't the armory. Had he been sold again?
Questions raced through his mind as he lay there, watching the one next to him. Was he going to be beaten again for breaking something?

"We're here!" Razyn called back over his shoulder, gently pulling the cart to a stop. "Everything okay back there? Thought I heard crying..." And breaking, but he really couldn't care less about that. The little cat thing was higher priority. He turned on the seat, peering back at the two. "Well, looks like the sleeping cutie woke up. Hi there!" The boy's lip twitched into a lopsided grin that seemed to just radiate good cheer and mirth. "How are you feeling, hm?" Eyes noticed the broken shards and spilled medicinals, but he didn't comment on them.

![]() ![]() No sooner had the cart stopped that the dark haired man grinned, sliding to the edge of it and hopping to his feet. Though he tried not to be bothered by the mess, which had only spread as they moved, it was much more obvious when he stood that it had soaked through a good portion of his robe. The pink illumination having long since died out with the last use of its energy, he had a much harder time judging just how much damage really had been done. Still, there were more important things to take care of first. "A very good question. I'd bet the little thing'll feel better after we're done moving him about." He nodded, absently tugging at the side of his own clothes to unstick them from the side of his leg. "I'd say we've probably earned a good room tonight, eh?" The catboy watched the driver curiously, but didn't say anything to him. He knew the cart had stopped, but when he tried to put weight on his leg, he yowled in pain, and drew back into the cart hastily. He didn't want to try that again. Plus, there was broken things in the cart, and they were his fault. He looked up at the shelves, and started to put bottles back on shelves, not even mindful of his wounded hand. It hurt, but he felt like he had to do something before the other one got upset.
