It's interesting, Valvatorex is so... eccentric and removed from reality, he does pretty nasty things and doesn't even think about it. Has a very odd way of seeing the world.

I think the trope is Comedic Sociopathy. :p

I think I remember seeing Disgea for DS in the store. How is it compared to the rest of them? Or as a game on it's own. I'm lacking in DS games right now. Wouldn't be so bad if I could get past crab boss in Castlevania.

It's basically a remake of the original with some extras, and is a lovely game Quiet. I recommend it highly :3

I can't remember if it came out before the PSP version or not, or has it's extras, but it's rather awesome. Not as complicated as 4 would be if you just dove in, either.

So... I'm in the final episode now, and I just realized... this game is incredibly easy. I haven't even come close to getting a game over the entire time I've been playing.

I think what it is, is that they've introduced so, so many elements for boosting your team's performance, then when you stack them all together, the enemies just don't stand a chance.

Put it this way. The average enemy now is level 80. My Valvatorez is level 200. Every time he kills an enemy, he adds 10% of their stats to his own for the duration of the battle. He also gets a +10% bonus to everything, on top of that, for each enemy he kills. Then, I can bring out Vulcanus, one of the other characters, who gives him another +20% boost whenever she's adjacent to him. *THEN* I can magichange Desco with him to boost all of his stats even more, and give him an Evilty that gives him *another* 20% boost for each adjacent ally... you get my point. :p

There are still systems I don't even take advantage of.

Anyway, I'm hoping the postgame provides more of a challenge.

Sometimes it's fun to whipe the floor with your enemies though. Of course, it's more satisfying if they were tough to begin with. Revenge! *smear*

Well, the whole point of this game is to get as overpowered as possible, but usually the story is at least somewhat challenging. :p

Without doing a bit of side leveling I usually have at least a little trouble in the main game. But I'm sure the postgame will have a challenge in store, it almost always does :)

I love this game (probably my favorite out of all the Disgaea games released so far).
Story-wise, I put it on par with 2, but character-wise, it's my favorite.

I'm actually finding the postgame pathetically easy, *but* ... I'm using the dupe glitch, so I have my whole team equipped wiht emblems that boost their stats over a million at the moment. The fights *are* getting harder, but all that means is I go make a stronger emblem to duplicate...

I don't feel like grinding away hundreds of hours doing it legitimately, have a bunch of other games to get to, and... there's still legal duping in the game with the Puppy Paw Stick, the shop glitch just takes out the middle-man of dozens upon dozens of hours and relying on the game's RNG.

They still have that Puppy Paw Stick huh? I can't say it's terrible but it is a bit easy to...abuse :p

This shop glitch is 1,000 times easier to abuse. But, I don't feel bad as I really just don't have the time to do it correctly right now, and I want to see all of the postgame.

It's an axe that looks like a giant stuffed paw. When you kill an enemy with it, there's a 10% chance that you steal a duplicate of one of their equips.

Then, there's Character World, which lets you go inside your party members' souls to power them up in various ways. While in there, you can run into clones of your characters... exact clones, down to their equipment.

So, if you just equip your guy with that perfected level 300 Testament with 8 300-level Statisticians in it... and you kill the clone with the Puppy Paw Stick... you get the idea.

It's very tedious, very luck based, and the shop glitch is much, much more abusable.
