He had just now noticed that they had the girl chained up as well, what in the world was going on. Sure punish someone for disobeying a order but he recalled that the two were siblings, wait that red hair. Thats impossible, he thought to himself remembering something else that had happened all the years ago. What were the odds?

Though he was brought out of his thought as the one light elf returned saying he'd let him starve then kill him. "Heh... you better hope this wound takes me first..." He was giving Brishen a warning, if he got out of these chains then he'd kill the poor sap for disgracing him the right to die in battle.

After he walked away and it was just a few guards watching the two of them he sighed heavily before testing the distance he had with his hands. "damn.. " He said finally before leaning against the post, he had the odd mind to try and break it but he needed to save the energy he had if he wasn't going to get food for at least three days.

After the guards stopped watching the two like hawks he spoke up again not looking at her, but it was bothering him by now. "Whats your name?" He asked rather bluntly instead of making a fool of himself and saying a name that may be not hers. He had a good idea and it was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't remember it back then let alone over ten years after the fact.

One of the guards looked at him though quickly turned back around with the gaze he had given the light elf, he had the eyes of a killer they weren't the innocent ones he held as a child.

Judith watched her brother walk away. She still didn't understand how someone could be so cruel. It bothered her quite a bit that other Light Elves were also like him and Dark Elves as well. What was so wrong with co-existing? A world without war sounded like a better world than this. Judith pressed her fingers against her shackles, wondering if she could even release herself. No, she thought to herself. Even if I could the guards would always be watching over us. They couldn't afford to lose the Dark Elf. They couldn't afford to lose me either. My brother would have their heads for it. Even as the hours passed the guards still stood. The sun was slowly disappearing as night was prepared to take over. Do they ever sleep? She asked herself. Maybe the night guards will be less of a hassle then I could escape.

She raised her head as the Dark Elf spoke. How odd that he was asking for her name at a time like this, but she was preparing herself to do the same. The thought of the Dark Elf being Rhyldrin was bothering her. She was just too scared to ask while the guards were there. She waited a bit, hesitating to answer him. When the guards began to speak to each other she took advantage of it. "Judith," she whispered to him. Her snow white eyes examined his face. Maybe she was just being a fool and it wasn't Rhyldrin.

He seemed to think on her answer for a moment before smirking and speaking once more "whats what it was... damn I always had a hell of a time remembering that for some reason." He laughed slightly, this was more then funny to him, the odds of running into the girl that he had long forgotten about as a child let alone she seemed to still hold true to her words of not wanting to kill.

The guards seemed to be edgy probably waiting on a shift change, he'd have to remember this time so if he managed to get a chance to get out of this he could wait for the perfect time. "You asked before didn't you, my name I mean. It's Rhyldrin, but I have a feeling you knew" She probably had been questioning it a little from the first question she had asked him about the scar.

One guard had brought the girl some water and forced her to drink it. "Your brother wants you to stay alive, and says if you behave he might release you in the next few days." The guard seemed to smile a bit before walking off as two more replaced the last ones.

During this switch would be the best time to escape, and with it being nearly dark around them it would add to his advantage. Though the ideas of getting out of this seemed far off with how he was bound and the fact the wound wasn't closing, it was too deep to close he'd be lucky if the blade hadn't hit anything vital. Though in spit of what he told himself about saving energy he tested his strength against the chains finding that the wound was hindering him more then he wanted to admit as he stopped moments later. Sure he wanted to talk more to the strange girl, but his life was on the line here. He couldn't believe he had let himself get captured like this.

"I didn't really think that it was you at first," she whispered to him. She paused as one of the guards looked up at them. She resumed speaking when he finally looked away. "When I saw your scar, I remembered knowing a Dark Elf when I was little. I remembered sneaking out of my home to see him. I remembered that he had a similar scar from an incident with Light Elves. I didn't ask for your name due to the circumstances, it didn't seem like you wanted to talk to me anyways." she chuckled softly. "I remember when things got worse between the Dark and Light elves. My parents refused to let me leave our home. I wondered if you thought that I didn't care anymore. I felt really bad." she chewed on her lower lip nervously. Perhaps she was speaking too much, the guards would probably tell her brother.

When a guard approached her with water she turned away. Judith refused the water at first, but as the guard forced her to drink it she really didn't have a choice anymore. She nearly coughed up a lung. Her eyes examined the new guards, she didn't recognize these ones. Perhaps they were new recruits. She hoped that they were, if she tried to escape it would make things much more easier.

"My shackles are a bit rusted," she whispered to him. "I may be able to break them, but I'm very tired and weak. I don't know if I really can, I'll try." Judith fell silent for a few moments. "Later, when it's darker." she wondered if Rhyldrin had even heard everything that she said. She was being so quiet.

"heh... seems fate wanted us to cross paths again even if it's with our last meeting" He wasn't being serious he hardly planned to die here. "truth be told, I didn't want to talk when I attacked you that one day... " He let the sentence die as a guard looked at him 'tsk unchain me and see what happens... ' he thought to himself as the guard turned back around and towards the conversation at hand. "I wanted nothing better then to watch as your blood seeped from your neck" He felt almost wrong telling her this really, he was talking about killing her when he first laid on on her weeks ago and in truth he had planned to do just that, maybe torture her a bit before hand even.

He shook his head a little "I never though ill of you, I noticed you stopped coming around the time they picked up the guards around the outer city.. I figured they were keeping tabs on all of their citizens by that time." Plus around that time his training had picked up so he had only managed to visit the spot every other week if that, though he had stopped after a few visits with no one there.

He had heard what she said about her binds being rusted but he decided to give her his thoughts on it. "why bother, they are going to release you in a few days time. You'll end up being branded a traitor and killed if you break free now." He was right or that's how it'd work on his side, he figured they were probably similar in that at least.

As it grew darker one of the guards walked up to the two of them to check the chains, though when the second one walked he got a bit too close to Rhyl and he let him know it as he moved quickly shooting a leg out and directly into the back of the knee of the guard that had walked too close, the man quickly found himself upon the ground with the sudden loss of balance.

The other one hearing this commotion quickly brought a blade to Rhyl's neck, though Rhyldrin hardly seemed to care as he smirked all the more. "You'd get a promotion for this wouldn't, killing a bound enemy?" He taunted the guard ignoring the blade that could easily have been the end of him, though the guard saw what he was doing and reluctantly drew the sword back. "your lucky we have orders to make you stay alive as long as possible..." With that the guards walked back off one muttering to the other his complaints.

Judith looked away from him. All he wanted to do that day was kill her, but if that's all he wanted then why did he not kill her then? "I understand," she said to him, her voice still low. "I had shot an arrow at you only moment before you caught me, I had intended to kill you as well. Even if I didn't really want to, even after three years in this war," she paused for a moment, her head hurt. "I can't enjoy killing another, even if all they ever want to do is harm me." she looked up at him smiling. "I'm not like that and never will be."

She nodded, he was right. If she broke free and freed him as well every Light Elf would turn against her. Instead of fighting one enemy she would be fighting two. The thought of that made her nervous. Even her family would turn against her, she would have no home. "I'll stay here then," she whispered. "I can't risk that, you're right."

"You're brave, but I think that you always have been." Judith looked up at him and couldn't help but smile. "And you have always had that attitude. Even when we became closer you were still a little mean to me." her eyes fell on the one of the guards in front of them, he were starring at her, but when her eyes met his he turned away quickly. "I tried to get out of my home to go to the forest one night, but my parents caught me. After that they told guards to be weary of me. I couldn't afford to get in trouble again." her bright eyes looked over Rhyldrin. "Your skin is still beautiful" she purred.

He seemed to listen to her as she spoke. "I know you intended to kill me, no one makes a shot like that without the intent to kill.." Really if he hadn't of caught the arrow he wouldn't still be here it would have been the ending shot for sure. He laughed slightly as she went on "I know... you were like that when we were kids. I didn't expect you to change that much" Really he was glad she didn't change to have a taste to kill, he had enjoyed her company all the years ago. She didn't need to change.

He was glad she took his advice, he couldn't keep her safe if she turned her back on her own kind for the sake of getting them both out of it. Besides he always managed somehow to end up on top of things even if they looked this bad. "Heh good choice..tsk.." He winced a bit the wound reminding him it was there.

"huh?" He questioned what she was saying out of no where saying he was brave, though he caught what she was saying after a moment as he smirked a little "brave maybe... stupid defiantly." He probably wasn't making the best moves to try and piss the guards off, though maybe if he got one that was dumb enough to fight him it'd be his chance. "Was i? Heh... I never noticed, I thought I was pretty damn nice to you considering." Really with how he had been raised he wasn't lying to her.

He continued to listen to her catching the odd actions from the guards. 'damn.. this isn't looking good.' He kept his thought to himself knowing he didn't need to worry her, they'd probably release her tomorrow or the day after. "I figured something like that had happened... I had my own duties to attend to when the guards were being increased at your city." He left out the details that he was being trained during half the time they had spent together to kill her kind.

He was about to say something else when her comment caught him off guard causing almost the same reaction as before feeling his face flush a little. "heh... you really are the same aren't you.. " he said under his breath a little. Though something caught his attention as a guard seemed dart off leaving only the one to watch both of them. "hrm... "

He seemed to have a idea seeing what work they had done for the chains on his hands. After a moment he got a idea as he forced his back against the post and seemed to force his shoulders out of joint. In the process he had managed to get to his feet and worked his hands over the top of the post, he lucked out it wasn't taller then he was. "tsk... ow..." He hissed out after getting his hands to the front of him and managed to get some of the chain to loosen around his wrists.

Sure he still had the binds on but it didn't matter, the guard seemed to take notice of this with the sudden popping sound as he used the post to get his shoulders back to being right. Keeping both hands together he quickly charged the guard and delivered both fists to his stomach causing the guard to be winded and fall over to the ground.

His breathing was a bit unsteady and the wound seemed to worsen with the sudden movement as he stood there a moment getting his bounds of the area. "Something much be going on near here, the camps empty.. " He looked back towards Judith before walking over to her and kneeling for a second to grab her face as he kissed her cheek lightly. "till we meet again hrm?" He gave her a bit of a flirty wink before standing again and darting off, he could get this bindings off elsewhere and with whatever was distracting the camp he wasn't going to let his chance pass by. She did have the brave part right, though he could have done more if he had wanted to with her being bound and all.

"If I had know that it was you then I would not have aimed to kill you." she said, she ran her fingers along her shackles. Her arms hurt from being held up for so long, her wrists were still sore from earlier. "I'm not as easily influenced by what others say," she paused for a moment worrying if what she was about to say would offend him. "Even if I'm here to kill Dark Elves, I tried very hard to avoid them. Sometimes," her voice cracked. "I had no choice."

Judith watched as he freed himself. "You're insane," she whispered to him. "Be careful and please tend to your wound." When he approached her she first thought that he was going to free her as well. When his face became very close to hers she flinched. Judith's heart fluttered in her chest when his lips touched her cheek. She had never expected such a thing from Rhyldrin. Her face felt hot and she knew that she was blushing.

Her eyes wandered from his face and over to the camp. "You're right, it's rather quiet. I'll manage to get out myself, I can't go with you." she pulled on her shackles loosening them. "I'll remain here, they can't accuse me of being a traitor if I go to help them."

When he was out of sight she pulled on her shackles once more, harder this time. Judith fell from her prison against the ground hard. She massaged her wrists for a few moments then finally stood. She walked around the guard that was laying on the ground in pain. She stopped for a moment and breathed in sharply. She smelled smoke. Then she saw flames. The camp was on fire. Judith turned and looked around helplessly, she didn't know where Rhyldrin had ran off to and he probably didn't want her to follow him. When she turned back to the camp she saw dark figures. Dark Elves. She turned and fled aimlessly in to the night. She couldn't see and had no idea of where she was, all she knew was that she had to get out of here.

A small group of dark elves had found the girl walking around blind in the dark as they captured her, for the time being they didn't seem to do anything to her. They hardly had to hurt her seeing as between the three of them they easily over powered her.

Forcing her to walk they brought her to a encampment and tossed her into one of the many holding cells. Keeping her there for the next few days they kept her fed enough just to keep her alive between the interrogations to find locations of other encampments of her kind. Even though he probably didn't have any idea where they were.

They kept her chained in the back of the cell with her clothing tattered and torn, though they didn't seem to go further then just beating her on a daily basis to pry information from her lips. Even though she was alive it seemed to be on the razor edge oh how much longer she could endure this.

~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a few days that had passed from when a small raid had managed to destroy the light elf settlement in the forest forcing them to fall back and flee from the forest for the time being. That was the goal of the group anyway, they had no idea they had assisted in Rhyl freeing himself. By the time the excitement had died down He had managed to make his way back to one of the caves where he had been getting his orders from.
Over the past few days he had been tending the stab wound, it was healing rather nicely and wasn't slowing him down in fights any longer. Though after he had heard about the raid on the light elf camp he had a idle worry, that girl he had just left her chained to the post but it was for the best if he had freed her then how would that have looked. They would have surely blamed her for his escape... but what if something else happened to her.
"You seem distracted today" A voice said from behind him as he sat up from where he was. He looked up towards the figure who had spoken to him with a questioning look. "Oh do i? Care to test those words?" He grinned a bit, he wasn't the strongest by far but he held his own and his sharp tongue was easy enough to back up from his experience.
The one who had first spoke shook his head "Another time, I have a message I need to get delivered to the next post... and it's to be done in a timely manner" With that the man was already off leaving Rhyldrin back to his thoughts as he rested his head back against the cave wall. 'damn of all the times to have something on my mind...' Why did he care sure she was someone he had learned to call friend as a child but even now.. she could have been leading him on. It could just be a matter of time before she killed him or got him killed one of the two and he here he was thinking if she made it out or not.
Getting up from his spot he had been resting in he started down the passage way towards the lower floor of the cavern, he had just gotten tot his base the other night and he had heard a lot of commotion coming from the cell area. He grew curious as to what the hell had been going on down there.
He had almost walked right by the commanding officer of this group but was stopped as his name was called out "Oh Rhyldrin, you got that message from Seric did you" He cleared his throat before going on. "I heard you failed on your last mission, that the light elf you were suppose to kill got away.
"Tsk... what of it? It was a damned ambush anyway" He spit out in reply paying no attention as to who was in any of the cells, though most seemed to be captured light elves. The dark elves seemed to enjoy catching light elves alive and tormenting them till they grew tired and then killed them.
The officer seemed to eye him a moment before walking past. "Make sure it doesn't happen again..." He hissed near Rhyldrin's ear. Once the man was past enough Rhyl slammed his fist against the wall causing a few of the captive to flinch or make a slight noise from his sudden outburst. "Damn him!" He cursed aloud as he let out a heavy breath.
When Judith was captured she had not fought back. At first she pulled away from the Dark Elves, frightened at the sudden feeling of someone touching her. Then soon enough she realised what was happening and then she realised that there was more than one. She knew that it was Dark Elves when they captured her in the dark, no Light Elves would have been able to see her. She had ran for quite some time not knowing where she was going, but she could still smell the burning camp. She didn't even know if she could make it. She felt like a fool.
At first they left her in her cell, perhaps to drive her insane from isolation. She didn't speak to the other captured Light Elves, they didn't seem interested anyways. She watched as they were tortured and it only made sense that eventually they would do the same to her. When they came to her cell one day, she was dragged out of it by her hair. They had tied her wrists together and her ankles, making sure that she could not resist or attempt to flee. Though Judith was tired and weak, she had no energy to do such things. She didn't resist, she didn't even cry. She remained silent even when they first interrogated her.
When she would not answer their questions they punished her. One Dark Elf struck her whenever she refused to speak and when she said that she did not know anything he would use a knife to cut her. Another time a Dark Elf tried to get information out of her in another manner. It was in the middle of the night, not many other Dark Elves were around and even if they were they probably would not have stopped him or they would have joined in. He had approached her and then cornered her in her cell. He was strong and as he pinned down Judith she finally screamed for the first time. He wanted to undress her, but she resisted. She bit him, hard, and he let go once he began to bleed. After that he had beaten her and left her sobbing in her cell, he didn't want to touch her after she had given him a nasty wound. She hoped that it would be infected.
Days felt like weeks to Judith and weeks felt like months. They continued to beat her, but it took very long for her to reveal any useful information. Earlier she had lied about the location of another camp, when they left to attack they discovered that there was no camp. Angered by her trick they returned and nearly killed her. They didn't when she had told them the real location of a camp. They thought that if she knew where one was then she would know where another was.
Judith laid in her cell, the ground was cold and her body trembled. Her eyes were dark from lack of sleep, her body felt sore from sleeping on the cell's floor. She wondered how long they would keep her alive, she didn't even feel alive anymore. Maybe she was already dead. She brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them. I'm going to die here, she thought. Just like the others.
One of the watch had just left the girls cell, it was the same one she had bitten over a week ago his hand still had a wrap around it from the wound. Rhyl knew he was just a simple guard why would he be hurt in any manner. He smirked a little ready to pick on this poor fellow to ease his mood. "One of them bite you finally?" He burst out laughing at the idea as he got the scowl out of the guard.
"damn right, damn bitch drew blood over a week ago..." He muttered to himself as he shoved past Rhyldrin in the process as he continued down the hall. Though he was curious the watch said she? when did we start catching females and bringing them here? He questioned the motive behind this unless it was someone important who had information.
He sort of glanced into each of the cells as he walked past though he stopped dead seeing one of them with a girl with fiery red hair laying in the floor. 'please don't be her...' He thought as he grabbed the spar keys off of the wall and unlocked the cell. There wasn't anyone else in the area so he hardly cared if he was seen by the other captive light elves talking to her.
"Hey! Damn it say something" He said as he kneeled down to where she was and moved her gently so she was looking at him. "geese.. your a mess.. " he said it more under his breath but it was the truth she looked about dead with blood all over her and cuts everywhere along with bruises on top of one another. She didn't seem overly responsive to him at first so he placed a hand to her neck trying to check her pulse after finding it he breathed a little. "least your alive.. for what that's worth."
He kept her there as he held her so she was sitting up but leaning against him. What the hell was he doing?! His mind was telling him to just kill her that's a faster death then anything the watch down here has planned for her. there was no way in hell she'd be able to get out of here unless the light elves held a full assault on this encampment .. but being inside a cave there were too many choke points for it to work.Why was he bothering to care, it wasn't in his nature to bother with such a thing he should just kill her and get it over with. But he wanted to help her though, she had done nothing aside from defending herself when it came down to it.
Judith was startled when her cell door opened, all she could think was that they were going to interrogate her once again. She closed her eyes and remained silent but when she was touched it wasn't rough. It was gentle. When she heard him speak he seemed sympathetic. Judith opened her eyes and breathed out sharply as she saw a familiar face looking down at her. Her throat burned as she wanted to speak, but she couldn't. She began to sob hysterically in his arms. Once she calmed down she buried her face in to his chest. The feeling of his warm body felt comforting.
"They know where one of the camps are," she whispered to him. She was afraid that other Light Elves would hear, if they knew then she would be branded as a traitor. Though the chances of them getting out to tell anyone were very slim. She was still scared. "I couldn't take it anymore, the interrogations got the best of me. I'm too weak for this." she whimpered. She closed her sore eyes, she was unbearably exhausted.
"shh, save your strength" He didn't know what else to say he wanted to tell her she'd be ok, but he didn't know. He wanted to get her somewhere to take care of these wounds she had all over her but how was he going to do that. He wanted to just take her out of here but he needed to pull a few strings to prevent someone from thinking he was going soft all of a sudden. "hey.. stop that" He made her look at him as she seemed to break down on him sobbing suddenly. Moving his hand he wiped her eyes lightly before brushing a few loose strands of hair from her face. "cry later, when you aren't in a cell at the mercy of your enemy."
He had a point, she was showing how weak she was by crying like this, though she seemed to cling to him with what little strength she had left he got her to let go. "Stop that talk, your not staying here.." He had laid her back down as he stood and walked out of the cell, he had a idea of what to do for this.
The watch was walking back this way by the time he had locked the cell. "Hey you!" The guard seemed to flinch as Rhyl called to him. "sir?" he questioned why a high ranked fighter was calling to him. "wheres the commander? I told him I had dibs on certain pray and here it is I get sent off on a mission and I come back to find that the very one I was hunting is already bloodied up and half dead in a cell here."
The watch seemed a bit concerned if it was one that Rhyldrin had marked as his pray. "I- I don't think the commander had anything to do with this one he's just been trying to get information from her, she's as good as dead by now they stopped feeding her a few days ago. Rhyl seemed unimpressed with the answer as he watched the guard as he walked up to the cell the girl was in.
"You can have her if that's what your after, the commander already said she was of no further use." He looked back towards Rhyldrin as he unlocked the cell, unaware that he had just locked the same door moments ago. "Well were the hell is the fun in it now if the pray's already dead?" He hissed out towards the guard who seemed to fear what Rhyl would do if he upset him in anyway.
"well.. she's still useful in other ways" Rhyl knew what the guard was hinting at and that's all he was after or that's all he needed this guy to think he was after. "Well you have a point.. she could be useful still.. " the guard seemed to back off after opening the door and taking a key off handing it to Rhyl "I'll tell the commander that your dealing with the captive now" He backed away further before turning to walk down the passageway.
He stood there a moment almost in awe that had worked out that well. Shoving the key in his pocket he walked back over to Judith and got her to sit up again. She looked worse then before, probably fatigue setting in more. "Stay with me a little longer.." He said under his breath before picking her up and carrying her. No one probably had a second thought about this sight, sure the fact that Rhyl had a live light elf was a bit odd but then again it was a female so it wasn't that abnormal.
He seemed to ignore any odd comments though there were only a handful made, he'd get them back later he thought as he walked. Though he got to where he wanted to be after a little while longer, getting a different key out and opening the door before shutting it behind him. "Geese what the hells wrong with me" he said aloud though it was more to himself then anyone and he figured she wasn't with it enough to pay attention.
Walking across the small room he placed her on a bed that was in the room. Looking over she really was a mess, this wasn't going to be any easy task by a long shot. He thought about her sibling for a moment finding it almost comical he was risking his neck to save her and he wanted nothing better then to kill her brother, and he knew very well her brother wanted nothing better then the same thing... to kill him. But for now she needed to rest, he'd wait for her to get to sleep from her condition she'd be out for a while. He'd try to treat some of the cuts then instead of bothering her before hand.
She flinched as he brushed strands of hair away from her face. "I'm sorry," she felt the compulsive need to apologize for her behaviour. Judith had been told that showing that she was weak in front of her enemy was dangerous. Though she didn't consider Rhyldrin an enemy, he had been kind to her in his own way. She knew that if she told her brother that he would be disgusted. Though it was not as if their relationship was already in ruins. Her brother probably didn't trust her and discovering that she had vanished probably upset him even more. She sniffed a bit, her noise was almost as sore as her eyes now. "You must think that I'm not worth saving if I'm like this." she muttered to herself quietly.
Judith breathed out heavily as he laid her on the ground again. She wondered if he really would be back or if he would leave her there to die. It almost seemed impossible for her to get out of here without being spotted and stirring up trouble. She wondered what Rhyldrin was going to do and if he could not do anything then she would have to live her last few days here slowly dying. It was comforting to know that he was at least going to try to save her. She listened closely to his conversation with the guard. Judith had not known that Rhyldrin could tell others what to do. She wondered how much power he had and how dangerous he really was.
When her cell door opened and he came back in, her heart fluttered in her chest. When he touched her gently she felt as if everything would some how be alright now. She felt safe as he held her in his arms, but was afraid of what the other Dark Elves would say. She was more afraid of what they would do to Rhyldrin if they learned that he was helping her rather then wanting to harm her. She brought a hand to his chest and gripped his shirt tightly. Judith closed her eyes once they left the cells, she didn't want to look at the other Dark Elves. Though she felt eyes on her and she heard them whispering.
She opened her eyes when Rhyldrin has reached what seemed to be a home. When she was placed on a bed she sunk in to the mattress, surrounded by comfort that she had not had for what seemed like forever. Her eyes looked at him, for the first time in weeks she smile warmly. "Thank you," she said to him. Judith was trying her hardest not to cry. She wasn't as scared anymore, she wanted to cry because she really did appreciate what he had done for her.
Her eyes fluttered closed, her exhaustion was overwhelming. The warmth of the bed was incredible. "I'm going to sleep," she said, she was mumbling now too tired to speak anymore. "I hope that you don't mind." Judith's body relaxed and shortly after speaking she fell in to a deep sleep.
He laughed a little listening to her, she must have been exhausted by the way she spoke. What a silly thing to say for going to sleep. Though he'd have to watch himself with this, he was walking a razor edge as it was due to rejecting certain offers before this whole incident. He might have to take back his word from the commander in charge of this section just to cover his tracks here. But that was his problem not hers, he was already in the works of trying to figure out how to get her out of here without drawing too much attention let alone how to ensure she got to any of the light elf camps without them knowing he had any dealings with this.
He sighed heavily closing his eyes for a moment "what have I gotten myself into now..." He could have prevented this years ago, what had stopped him. He blamed his parents though he hardly got the chance to know them it seemed fitting enough, his mother probably being one of the few that'd understand this situation at all. 'Too late now I guess.. might as well press forward and see this through' Leaving the bedside he walked to a small side room, it seemed to be a bathroom though his living quarters were simple enough nothing fancy. After a few moments he walked back into the room with a small box and set it on a stand near the bed.
Though he came to the idea that she'd owe him a good slap for this later. "Just stay asleep..." He said aloud, not like she could hear him she seemed rather out of it 'it'll be less awkward that way.' Her clothes were already tattered as it was so he didn't bother trying to salvage them as he cut the remaining cloth away from her body. He only moved her when he had to, he seemed more worried about her waking up and trying to explain to her what was even going on. On top of that her current exhausted state probably couldn't grasp that he wasn't doing anything to her, he was sure the guards had tried but from what he could tell she had deterred them.
Quickly getting to work he went about getting a small cloth and a basin of water to start cleaning the wounds before treating them. "Your lucky you know that... " He was still talking to her even if he knew she wouldn't respond. "I use to think how silly it was with all the steps my father took to dress wounds from skirmishes... it's almost funny that I'm doing the same steps here." He found a slight bit of morbid humor in it, his father had been one of the medics of this clan and his mother was working as a ambassador for the dark elves.
It probably took a good few hours for him to finish dressing all of the cuts and wrapping the larger ones to prevent further bleeding. Though once he was finished she looked to be in a better state then before, though it was easy to tell she was still pretty weak. Really to admit it he was mentally exhausted from all of this, his kind wasn't known for acts of kindness no matter who the hell you were. Yet here he was trying to save a sole light elf. To what end if the dark elves won this war.. she'd never be able to live a life so to speak...
He needed to stop thinking so damn much it just made his headache worse. She wasn't going anywhere and he had done all he could while she was asleep. He pulled a sheet over her before leaving the room returning to the smaller room that was on the side, he'd shut the door if there was one. It had been removed a few years ago when he had a bad habit of drinking a little too much and running into it, though in more recent years he found that killing light elves had taken place of the other habit.
He had stayed in the other room for at least a hour, taking a shower in the process and dealing with anything else he needed to. Though most of it he had been in almost a daze of trying to figure out how the hell he was going to keep his hide through all of this. Though his thoughts were disrupted with knocking on the outer door.
He grumbled a bit to himself pulling pants on as he walked out to see who the hell was bothering him. Normally he'd be asleep by this time, and he had every intention to get at least a few hours of sleep seeing as he never bothered to put the rest of his gear back on, shirt included. This exposed the fact that he had more then just that one scar on his face, it seemed he had been through enough close calls to support the devil's luck that most seemed to say he had judging by the size and placements of most of them. The person knocked again as he sighed heavily getting to the door. "damn it can't you hold on a second, rush rush that's all you worthless pawns do."
The person on the other side of the door seemed tense as Rhyldrin opened it, giving him a quick salute of sorts before going about the message he had. "The commander wants to inform you that he has another task for you general..." Rhyl gave the poor low ranking solider a glare tat could kill if possible. "how many times do I have to say it... I'm not a general I refused the position, I've said it to the commanders face if the light elves ever decide to pay me more I'd work for them"
The solider nodded a little backing away from the door. "Well whats his bark this time?" Rhyl finally asked seeing as he had terrified this poor guy. "Oh er... we know the location of another light elf encampment.. he wanted you to lead the assault this time and..." He cut the messenger off quickly. "No, I work alone, I'm not changing that. Besides I'm still in the process of a task tell him send some of the new recruits to get the experience" He never gave the guy time to complain about him saying no as he shut the door.
"What the hell do I look like?" He sighed again thinking on that a little 'like hell I'm going to start letting him bark orders down my throat just because I happen to be here for once.' He thought to himself before walking back across the room and sitting in a chair off to the side, he never bothered to check if all of this had woken Judith up or not, he had other thoughts on his mind so he was a bit distracted. Though distraction quickly died off after a few moments as he nodded off, he just needed a hour he'd work through whatever he had to then.
Judith was too exhausted to be woken up by Rhyldrin cleaning and dressing her various wounds. The weeks spent in her cell had been horrible. What else would they have been? Judith tossed and turned in her sleep when Rhyldrin had finished tending to her. Even when he had gotten angry at the Dark Elf delivering him a message she did not wake up. She was dreaming, well maybe calling it was a nightmare was much more accurate.
Judith dreamt that her home was being torn to pieces by Dark Elves. The villager's homes had been lit up, flames ate away at them, including her own. She was running, not away from it but towards it. Then she stopped, pain struck her stomach. When she looked down she had a deep wound. It went across her stomach and then she began to bleed. She pressed her small hands against her wound. Shocked she brought her hands up and saw that they were small. She was a child. Her eyes looked up from the wound and to the Dark Elf who struck her. It was Rhyldrin and he was laughing. Though he was an adult. Judith began to cry she didn't understand. "What's-"
"Happening?" she screamed then she shot up from the bed breathing heavily. Her eyes wide and the little color that she had was drained from her face. Judith had began to speak in her sleep before she abruptly woke up. Her nails had dug in to the sheets below her, she gripped them tightly. Her eyes wandered around the room but she could not see very well. It was very dark and she wondered if it were day now or still night. Judith laid back down and brought her hands to her face. She didn't even know if Rhyldrin was there and if he was then she hoped that she had not woken him up.
Maybe she was over-thinking about the dream, but she could not help but think that it meant something. It had to at least, why would it be so different? She had never dreamt something so vivid in her entire life, even as a child. Then again, why was she a child in her dream and why was Rhyldrin an adult? She wondered why he had hurt her and then she thought about how the chances of her home being taken by the Dark Elves were nearly impossible. Or was it?
She breathed out heavily deciding that thinking too much about this would only make her feel more confused. Her head began to hurt anyways. Judith decided that she should just forget about the dream. It was after all just a dream and nothing more. Her imagination had just gotten the best of her while she dreamt. That's when she realised that she was no longer clothed. She tugged the blankets over her cold body and wondered if Rhyldrin would give her new clothes or maybe he wouldn't. No, she thought and laughed quietly, he wouldn't do that to me. He isn't like the others.
