HOW HAVE YOU SET WATER ON FIRE???????

Apparently, the pot I was using wasn't clean. I don't know what was in it before... But I put the water on to boil, turn around to start cutting some veggies, hear a FHOOM! and suddenly I'm really hot then really cold. Turn around and the top of the water is burning...

if there was oil or alcohol in the water it would make sense

True that's very true i hadn't thought about that.... But the oh wow was being able to make water catch on fire.

It might be if you do it on purpose... But I don't think alcohol could do that... and

Alcohol and oil both catch on fire really really easily

yeah... But I've never done that before, and doesn't alcohol mix with the water?

I don't think so? I've never tried to do that with alcohol......

It was by accident... And I'm not really wanting to try again. It's just a sort of badge of honor for me.
