I agree with Gackt and BoA, I didn't know who Gackt was until someone from UniFactions said something about what I thought was a Gakupo video I linked. XD And I think BoA might have done one or two of the songs from the original Inuyasha series aired in the US. I can't remember which ones those were but I remember my brother did rip some from Youtube back when I was in middle school. ^^;

Gackt helped create Gakupo by offering his vocals ovo His songs "Redemption" and "Longing" were used in Final Fantasy 7 Dirge of Cerberus.. ahh I remember when the commercial first aired on my tv.. i wasn't sure of what I heard in the background (the narrator so loud and annoying D:<) so the next time it aired I DVR'd the commercial and then i listened to the song in the background... then ran SCREAMING outside "I GACKT IS SINGING A SONG IN THIS GAME I MUST HAVE IT!" >w>, got it the day it came out.. beat it with in 48 hours.. no sleep.. hahahaha I wanted to hear the song.. found out 2 of his songs were in the game.. AT THE END D:< THE END OF THE GAME!!!!!!!!! RAWR!!!

BoA sang "Every Heart" for one of the Ending themes of InuYasha.. she has a japanese version and an english version ovo She also sings "Masayume Chasing" for Fairy Tail 2 Opening x3 Her song "Eat You Up" was kind of a hit too for non anime fans. There was a PV that was released here in america.

V6 sang 'Change the World' the first InuYasha Opening.. o3o I like their song "Darling"

AAA had a song or two of theirs as an InuYasha Opening (or was it an ending) but I like their song "Climax Jump" for Kamen Rider Den-O...

Rin - There are lots of people who don't know who Gackt is. Mainly because they don't follow Japanese singers or .. anything japan other than anime. o3o, I had only learned about Gackt because my friends who really Loved J-Pop told me about him.. and I been a fan of his for over 10 years now ovo

Since he's Japanese, and big in Japan its obvious there would be a lot of people in america (and other countries) that won't know him.. especially in areas that don't have much to do with the asian markets, like small towns and stuff. o3o, he isn't a world wide sensation like pokemon go is..
