Forest swelling NPC that the characters must find but only do so after a fight with the NPC in disguise to decide whether or not they are worthy of the meeting.

Ashley is a pet tamer and a miscellaneous side character you can get if you beat her in 3 battles. The catch is you must beat her from a given set of a monsters to battle against hers. (stolen directly from Chrono Cross xD)

Chosen one from a far-off kingdom who joins the party thanks to a shared goal. Has a supernatural bond with her cat-spirit servant.

Ninja sorcerer that harrasses the party whenever they get close to their goal. Starts mean fights and beats everyone up but splits before the party can kill him. Cannot be killed, only "defeated." Later joins the party and there is much eye-rolling, but it's totally worth it. :p

A sorseress who controls blue flames and ends up a great help to the party but is later cause of suspicion as she ends up summoning this epicly powerful creature to help fight in battles but because of its main atributes and how it acts is caused to be considered somewhat evil.
