"I more of wanted to know in the fact I do have a duty of sorts to serve if something is going on.. even if I'm not part of the official forces of the dark elves." He listened to her before shaking his head a little. "he's stronger ten you think, even if he can't hide the facts doesn't make him weak in the least, it's better to let the people know instead of hiding things till the end at times. Even if it'll cause panic among them." He had a point, he himself would rather know and have the time to prepare rather then be caught at the last moment with nothing to be done.

Vrine nodded at her question of if he was hungry, gladly moving to follow her. "I think I might go look into this now, rather then wait. For the guards to be this active... even during the war there weren't this many." He'd be the one to know seeing as he did sneak into the light elves capital a few times.

"It's just surprising to see a king who even though he can't hold things in is so willing to let his people know everything, what I said came out wrong." Judith took Vrine's hand in her own, she looked up at Rhyldrin and smiled weakly. "It's good that he does not hide things or lie to us, he couldn't even if he wanted to anyways!" she laughed quietly then returned her eyes to the young boy beside her. "I have a few other things in the house if you don't want what I picked earlier, you can help yourself, alright?" Judith walked with the young boy to her back door, she looked up at Rhyldrin once more before retreating into her house.

It was true, Bryon had been alerted by an unexpected problem. Though after all that had happened it wasn't nearly as surprised or panicked as he really should be. Humans had become a problem now and not only where there humans to deal with, they seemed to had made new friends. Orks, creatures that Bryon had never seen since he was a small child. They were unheard of considering that they had been banished from nearly everywhere in the world for their violent behaviour and their unstoppable thirst to bring destruction to wherever they went. No wonder the humans had recruited them.

Bryon should have known better, only days ago he had planned to ask for peace between the humans and those that he currently called his allies. He was naive, wasn't he? He was an absolute fool who appeared to be easy to take advantage of. Bryon was nothing like his father, he felt as if he was too weak to rule of the Light Elves. Though he knew that if it wasn't for himself then the Light Elves would still be in an endless war with the Dark Elves.

The dragonkin happily followed her, really he was so use to Judith and Rhyldrin he might as well have been their kid, aside from blood. Though he was hardly bothered by that, really he had grown on Rhyldrin a bit.. though he was still adjusting to the fact he had a non dragon form.

Rhyldrin walked off leaving Judith with Vrine, he'd be back after he had some answers. The guards questioned why he needed to see the king. He glared at them a little before speaking up. "I think you know why and if you don't you'll know soon enough.. I asked to speak to Lord Bryon though.. no you." He hissed his words, but they got trough this time around.

The guard went and sought the king out telling him who was here and that he wished to speak. Bryon was hardly a stupid man, he knew the dark elf had a idea of what was going on even if the foe was unknown. Once the guard returned he walked Rhyldrin to the room the king was in before leaving the two alone.

"So you noticed quickly after your return.. " Rhyldrin frowned a little. "i'm hardly the only one that notices. I just need a few facts.. and you know the ones I speak of." Bryon sighed heavily looking to the other man in the room now before speaking. "we're about to have another war, but im sure you could have guessed this. Sadly it is two joined foes.. both have the upper hand on our units."

Rhyldrin frowned more listening to him. "So a call to arms then.. Surely you don't mean that.. between the light and dark elves we have the seer numbers to protect ourselves." He spoke a little boldly to be of no noble blood. "we shall not fall, not matter you have to think this,it's your duty to keep the people convinced of this."

Bryon looked at Rhyldrin who was giving him a bit of a cocky smirk knowing he was right. He might have been a weak leader.. but his had powerful allies that was certain. "You are right.. we shall not"

( Meh, bad post! )

It was a good thing to have allies with such events unfolding now. Bryon knew that he many allies though he could not help but be nervous. It wasn't a surprise that he was overwhelmed by his nerves. It was odd that the stress he experienced each and every day did not cause him to become seriously ill. Bryon doubted that his luck would last any longer, if he didn't change something then he would certainly go before it was his time. He didn't like the thought of leaving his people without a heir. Bryon would marry soon, he could not escape the fact that he needed a son or daughter to take his place when he passed. There was a Light Elf who seemed to have interest in him, she had even spoken to him about marriage before. He would ask her, there was a woman who he wished that he could ask though he knew it would be best not to. It was better to be with someone who was also royalty.

Bryon had already sent a few knights to travel to the Dark Elf Capital to ask for their help, the knights were also told to inform the Dark Elf Queen everything. Though Bryon doubted that she had not heard of anything yet, it was impossible to miss such an unusually site. Humans and Orks working together. The size of the army was also hard to miss.

After Judith prepared Vrine something to eat she pulled out a chair at the kitchen table for him to sit. She wondered how hard it would be to explain to her father that she knew this Dragonkin if he happened to come home. Though maybe things would not surprise him as much as she thought they would. Considering what he had discovered last night after all. Judith cleaned as she waited for Rhyldrin to return, if he did return at all. She wouldn't be surprised if he had to go elsewhere. She was extremely worried about what she was going to be told. She hoped that she was simply being paranoid.

Rhyldrin had already left when he finished gathering the information he needed, it had settled his question at the least. He'd stop to tell Judith and then go about getting back to his home capital. This was far from good information. Hell things were starting to go well and he had just recovered... this wasn't what he wanted to hear.

Either way he needed to assist, even not being part of the main forces he had his uses. Plus he was one of the more experienced blades that the Queen had at her disposal. With combined forced of humans and orcs he wasn't going to take chances, he had reason to want to protect these lands now and it wasn't just because they were his home anymore.

Vrine acted like a normal child, aside from a few things that keyed in how smart he really was under it all aside from just being young. Though he seemed happy enough with what Judith gave him. Though he seemed to freeze suddenly as his ears went back for a moment before they seemed to relax again and his tail swayed a little. "your going to want to get the door." he spoke out before nibbling at the fruit again.

Vrine had noticed who was walking up to the house. Though the dragon could already tell that he was in a hurry as well. If it weren't for how Judith worried Rhyldrin might not bother with telling her that he was going, rather he had to go. This war wasn't going to be as easy to end as the elf or dragonkin.. this would have to be a show of force before the humans and ocrs buckled in.

((mine was worse! ive been dreadful at writing -.-;))

( I'm sorry it's so short. @__@ )

Judith jumped a little when Vrine suddenly spoke, she was not expecting him to say anything. For a moment she became nearly overwhelmed by her nerves, was her father home? She hoped that it was Rhyldrin though she was not too sure if it could be him. She had not been keeping track of time and was not too sure how long it had been since he had left to speak to Bryon. "How did you know that?" she raised an eyebrow, her eyes lingered on Vrine for a moment before she went to the back door.

Judith opened the back door when she heard someone stop in front of it. She looked up at Rhyldrin, her brow wrinkled as she noticed that he appeared to be tense. "What is it?" she asked, she bit her tongue. Perhaps it was not a good idea to ask. Did she really want to know? "Are you leaving again?" she blurted out the second question, she appeared to be upset. Judith's ears fell, her shoulders sagged and she felt her heart pounding in her chest.

(your fine :) )

Vrine smiled as his tail swayed but he never answered Judith how he knew. Though it was easy enough, he was part animal after all and he had been around both of them long enough to know when they were around.

He blinked a little seeing as he didn't have a chance to answer her before she spoke out asking if he was leaving again, she seemed concerned about that. After giving her a bit of a odd look he moved a little and placed a hand under her chin before smirking a little "stop worrying, I never said a word and your already thinking the worse possible...Your going to end up giving yourself wrinkles." He laughed slightly before releasing her chin and thinking on how to explain this to her.

"But yes I am leaving.. I have to. If there was a choice in the matter I wouldn't but there's been a turn of events that cannot be ignored." He sighed a little. "Not to worry you but the humans and orcs are banded together, thats what the elven lands are being faced with. I don't worry that we'll fall but it won't be a easy fight in the least."

He was about to go on when he noticed the look she was giving him, she was saddened and worried more by this information. Moving again he pulled her close to him pushing a few strands of her hair behind her ear. "hey .. stop it. Your allowed to worry but stop looking at me like this is the last time we'll see one another. I'm too damn stubborn to die. you should know that by now." He smiled weakly at her as she looked up at him. "besides I have plenty of reasons to come back.. I'd be a fool to die and toss that all away now."

( Time skip! I really failed with the fight between Judith and the Ork. )

A sound that was animal like escaped from the creatures lips as she swung a blade recklessly at it. Judith had had very little training with any other weapons before she was sent to the battlefield, though she had lost her daggers moments ago and knew that she was now too close to use her bow. The blade was not her own or one of her comrades. She had scavenged it from one of the dead who littered the battlefield now. The creature who stood in front of hovered over her with great height, Judith knew that the it underestimated her which she would take advantage of shortly. It let out a laugh as she attempted to strike it once again, it almost sounded human.

Her eyes studied her enemies weapon, it was a large, poorly made axe that was taller than Judith. It made her nervous, the last thing that she wanted to happen was to be struck by it. She knew that Orks were rather strong, this one seemed to be much larger than the others she had taken down in the past few months. Judith's eyes grew wide as the creature lifted it's weapon and swung it at her, she moved quickly despite the weight that her armour added. Before she had come out her she wore it quite a bit to get use to it.

It's weapon nearly hit her as it attempted to strike her once more, Judith ducked avoiding it's touch. She quickly lifted her foot kicking the creature in the stomach hard. It stumbled back though not as much as she had wanted it to. Judith's hands shook violently as she brought herself close to it. All it took was one mistake and she was a complete goner. The blade that she had taken dove into the Ork's stomach. Something warm splattered across her face, she closed her eyes for a moment trying to hold back to sudden urge to vomit. Despite the cry that it let out she drove the blade deeper into the creature. Judith let go of the blade, the creature fell backwards against the ground.

Judith's eyes opened, she watched the creature that she had struggled with not long ago slowly die. The blade must have struck something vital for there to be so much blood, the sight of it made her squirm. A heavy breath finally escaped from her as she confirmed that the creature was dead. Though she was weary to approach it to check for a pulse or to even retrieve the blade. Judith looked up from the Ork that she had just killed, they wandered around the area that surrounded her. There were so many bodies, yet there was still a vast number of enemies. No one that she saw was not fighting except for herself, she seemed to be in a daze.

Though a sudden noise from behind brought Judith back to reality. Her ears fell, a concerned expression washed over her face. Judith was afraid to turn around to see what or who was approaching her, she pried her eyes from the others then turned. It was a man, another enemy who was quickly approaching her. Though she did not react quick enough, she felt his hands press against her chest. Judith stumbled backwards, she attempted to remain standing though could not.

Air escaped from Judith's lungs as she was tossed to the ground. A sudden, throbbing pain from her back overcame for a moment before she finally brought her attention back to the man who had thrown her to the ground. The sound of weapons clashing together erupted around her, the man who now stood over her laughed as if he was mad. It seemed that it was just one enemy after another. She was becoming exhausted. He moved suddenly, Judith rolled to the right, away from him quickly avoiding his blade that he had intended to strike her with. Before she could stand he brought his blade down, it met her bow. A horrible noise was made, Judith's bow fell to the ground in two pieces. Fear grew in her eyes though she knew that she could not allow her life to be taken so easily.

The war erupted almost over night, enemies flooded the areas of the elves. Most saw this as a ill omen, a sign they were to surely lose the numbers were seemingly endless. Though at the same time others saw this as a challenge. Most of the dark elves seemed to keep a slightly more elves head in theses odds then the light elves, though a few were panic ridden and in fear. There was a pair of drow that the enemy would soon grow to fear and look out for. A young mage that seemed to be paired with a what appeared to be assassin. The mages main abilities revolved around ice magic while its partner in crime either started the attack or waited for the enemy to think they had the upper hand. In most cases both seemed to be ready at full force from the get go of every fight.

"There's really no fucking end to them!" Madaes yelled as he released another ice bolt at a orc that ventured too close. Though a sickening sound was heard after a blade was forced into a body of a human near by that was about to back stab Madaes. "eh.. there's a end to them... till then I'm reminding them why their choice to attack was a poor one." Rhyldrin hissed a little before letting out a heavy breath freeing his blade from the corpse. They had been placed near the light elf capital, the drow one was more then protected and the Queen thought it was good for the both of them to be as close to the front line as possible. Also as a team they were unstoppable it would seem.

"Lets move before they decide to corner us again eh?" Madaes laughed weakly following Rhylrin as he moved already. Both of them were beat up a bit but that was to be expected in a war, nothing was serious though, but Rhyldrin did have that type of luck that something dreadful would happen before the end of it. He seemed to stop though hearing a odd noise as he tried to locate it before he heard a odd laughter from the same direction. ".. moving." he warned Madaes before he went about his ways of stalking out this noise to see what the situation was, Madaes would wait till he was told otherwise to ensure it wasn't a ambush.

Though the mage wouldn't be needed after Rhyldrin saw who was grounded and that a human was about to try for the finishing strike. Right as the human was about to swing the blade downward a clash of steel upon steel range out as Rhyldrin stood there hardly looking amused. "You should watch your surroundings better..." he warned the human who seemed to try to free the blade as quickly as possible but it was far too late as it was. He let the human free the blade but his gut was quickly met by the second blade Rhyldrin had before the human coughed up blood and seemed to fall to the ground sliding from the weapon.

He gave Madaes his signal he was waiting for before he moved to check on Judith to made sure she was ok, besides maybe being a little shooken up. "What are you doing out here? Let alone by yourself" He laughed weakly knowing she was the type to try and help any way possible.

Judith breathed out a sigh of relief when the man's blade struck Rhyldrin's own blade instead of herself. She flinched as the two struggled unsure of what she could do to help, she seemed to be in shock until she heard Rhyldrin speak to her. Judith looked up at Rhyldrin though she could not manage a smile for him. "I was following a few others though they were all struck down, I got stuck in this mess." Judith lifted herself from the ground, her hands ran over herself in an attempt to remove dirt. Though she stopped seeing as it was pointless, she would just end up dirty anyways. "I could have handled this, I had a plan." the corners of her lips lifted though her smile was a nervous one. To be honest she wasn't very certain if she would have been alright or if what she had intended to do would have been successful.

Scarlett red was still scattered across her face, a sharp pain filled her chest every time she breathed in too quickly. Judith slowed down her breathing in an attempt to ease the sudden pain, that man had struck her far harder than she had thought. There was still a throbbing pain along her back, when her head had met the ground it had began to pound as well. "You don't need to worry about me so much," she struggled to say the words as she breathed out heavily. "You have to watch yourself in all of this. It's easy to be caught off guard with so many enemies about. I need to learn to not get so easily distracted." a nervous laugh escaped from her lips suddenly.

Judith turned as a sudden flash of light caught her attention. She jumped a little, it was unexpected. For a moment she felt confused though that changed when her eyes landed on a familiar Light Elf. Kane was nearby using her magic powers the best that he could, he had trained for years but was still considered an amateur. With a wave of his hand he made a circle of fire around an approaching enemy. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.

Kane opened his eyes, he watched the Ork that he had trapped begin to panic. Though the creature was still making an attempt to get to him, it appeared to be desperate to shed blood. A quiet sigh escaped from him, under his breath he chanted words. Kane brought his hand up, he held it in the air. Fire erupted as he clenched his fist without hesitation, the Ork let out a piercing scream as it began to burn. The creature fell to the ground then it shortly became silent. Kane waved his hand, the fire quickly went out.

"Never said you couldn't handle your own, next time i'll wait till the blades in your chest then shall i?" He shook his head a little, he wasn't being serious and he knew she was a good fighter but close range was not her strong point, let alone it was her. Theres no way he could have forced himself to stand there and wait for to see who of the two had the advantage.

"tsk thats why Madaes follows me around, and I wasn't worrying just happened to cross paths was all. Heard a commotion and went to scout out what was going on, no matter who it was the same thing would have happened. A dead ally is of no use." Sure he was being a little stern but she was being stubborn as well. All the years he had helped her and she was saying not to worry, hell he wanted to marry her of course he was worried with this war. Though he noticed her odd breathing he never said a word knowing she's shrug it off if he did so.

Madaes had joined Rhyldrin and Judith just in time to see the fire mage. "hrm well good to know im not the only mage left alive eh?" He laughed a little though it was followed by a heavy breath trying to keep up with Rhyldrin was a work out on it's own. "so what now? there is still too many near the capital and there is no leader in sight.. we need to find one and soon or this will never end." He spoke out knowing it was the only hope they had, let alone they were everywhere, the longer they stood here the more chances the group of them had to being attacked.

Judith fell silent when Rhyldrin spoke to her again, she felt a little embarrassed with her sudden behaviour. Though it was also because Kane had caught her attention. Judith felt lost in her own thoughts as she watched Kane create and dismiss fire so easily. She knew that she may have not survived another close encounter with an enemy though something inside of her didn't want to admit to that. She didn't want to worry Rhyldrin, she didn't want him to now feel obligated to watch her or to always be there to help her. Though it had always been like that, Rhyldrin had always been there to help her when she needed it. Without him in the past she may have been dead long ago.

"I'm sorry," Judith breathed out heavily then looked up at Rhyldrin bringing her attention back to him. "I feel like a burden when I know that you are always worrying about me." Judith's ears fell, she brought one hand to the other then slipped her glove off. She brought her now bare hand to her face and brushed blood and dirt off of it the best that she could. She desperately wanted to bath. "We shouldn't stand around for much longer, we should find the leader." she slipped her bare hand back into the glove then looked up at Madaes. "Do you think that it would be a human or one of the Orks?" she asked, it would certainly be hard to tell who was in charge. There were Orks here so it was possible that the one in charge could be an Ork though there were also humans. There was always the possibility of there being two leaders, one to communicate with the humans and the other to communicate with the Orks.

Kane seemed a little dazed for a bit. He stood still and seemed to be mumbling a few words to himself before he brought himself over to the other three. "There's so many of them, I keep wondering when this awful nightmare is going to end." he said then breathed out a sigh. "I don't mean to ease drop, it's rude of course but..." his eyes shifted from Madaes to Judith then they rested on Rhyldrin finally. "I heard that you plan to seek out the leader? May I be of any assistance? It's better to travel in a group that is strong."

"hey stop that, like i said it could have been anyone over here.. besides knowing your alive means more to me then anything." He smiled weakly at her knowing she didn't want to be a burden, he never once thought of her as one. "if it'll make you feel better I can leave, Kane's here anyway so your not alone in the middle of the front lines now." It was a thought though he didn't want to leave her either.

Madaes finally spoke up once Kane spoke to them "the more the merrier! Hell means we should all should live if we stick it out." He laughed slightly before looking at Rhyldrin. "well what are you thinking.. your the one with scouting experience.. you've seen orcs and humans groups before.."

He thought a moment before answering Madaes. "it'll be a human.. orcs are strong but they lack the skills to properly lead a joined attack.. not like this one it seems planned out." Pausing a moment before he spoke again. "location is going to be fun to find.. probably not on the front lines though, the leader needs to stay alive or the group would start turning on one another without a second thought."

Madaes nodded a little. "well ..theres four of us here.. the dragonkin are in the skies maybe we can get word to some of them to watch out for a camp or gathering and get the location.. it'd be faster then walking on foot with best guesses." Though he stopped in his thought and turned before thrusting his palm out as a sudden ice statue fell from behind a tree shattering upon the ground. "though we should move.. they are taking notice we are here."

( HORRIBLE POST. - dies )

"Do you think that Marcus is here?" Judith asked once the group fell silent for a brief moment. "If we could find one of the Dragonkin on the ground we could ask them if they have seen him, he would help us greatly." Judith's eyes tore away from the three men who stood by her, she looked around the surrounding area seeing if she could find a Dragonkin for assistance. "Though we could always ask one of the Dragonkin who are on the ground to come with us. All of them are strong and we don't need a specific one. I suppose that it does not really matter." though she thought that it would be better to have the company of one that she knew and trusted. Judith assumed that Rhyldrin trusted Marcus as well, considering that he had tried his best to keep both of them away from any harm.

"We can try to find him, though we absolutely can not stay here any longer. Madaes is right, they are starting to notice that we have just been standing around. It's no longer safe to stay here. We must move now!" Kane's cheek burned a little, every second or third word had been stuttered. He still didn't find it easy to speak to a woman. He looked away from Judith and returned his eyes to Rhyldrin briefly. "There are a few Dragonkin over there, I saw them a bit earlier. Let's hope that they are still there, it would be good to have one come with us. It's always good to have a group with different talents and strengths. We can also do what Madaes suggested." he managed a smiled then pried himself from the group.

Judith stood for a moment, she hesitated to move at first. Though when Kane seemed to not be willing to wait for anyone she began to follow him. As she walked her eyes scanned the surrounding area for any weapons that she could take. It wouldn't be a very smart idea for her to explore a battlefield without one on her. Judith was of course very talented with the bow but there was no time to be picky now that her bow was broken. She would take whatever she could find in one piece. Hopefully she could find a weapon that was not too heavy, the weight of her armour was starting to make her shoulders sore.

"We could try to find him.... though any of them would do" He seemed to think on it a moment, it was true he trusted Marcus a bit more then most of them, but thats because he had done them more then a few favors from before. He'd rather have one that he trusted in this little group then one of the random ones, maybe luck would be with them. Madaes nodded a little. "Going to do your thing then I assume?" He shrugged a little. Though Rhyldrin smirked at him mentioning anything. "Better safe then sorry... besides you call it a waste and it's saved your ass half a dozen times tsk." Madaes laughed weakling agreeing with him before he moved to catch up with Judith and Kane.

He noticed the odd look Judith gave him when he caught up and Rhyldrin wasn't following him. "he's around, trust me he's good at his job... and thats to not be seen.. He'll know long before the enemy as to whos in the area.. though that task will son get tricky." He said looking skyward moment before explaining himself. "we're going to hit the winter months soon.. this war is about to turn nasty."

Madaes was right on Rhyldrin being a expect at his job, he had done nothing but this type of work sense back when he could begin to remember, aside from a few years he had with his parents anyway. And he was damned good at it. Even not being one of the Queen's own he was labeled as one of the top assassins of the dark elf empire, though it was hardly a title he flaunted around, he only took on work when he needed funds and that was rather rare. Though this was different. This required every able body, that and he wanted to ensure the few he did care about survived this.

After about ten to fifteen minutes he caught back up with the small group with a forced breath before speaking. "the dragonkin group is still there, though the odds up against them don't look promising so I' advise hurrying if at all possible" He shrugged a little. The orcs could hold their own against dragonkin thats the only reason they were even struggling.

"I suppose that I should expect such things from him considering his line of work," Judith let out a quiet laugh though it probably made the others believe that she was nervous. "I really need to stop worrying about him so damn much, he can take care of himself." she breathed out quiet sigh then shook her head a little. "You need to tell him to stop worrying about me as well, I may look... as if I'm not a threat but I can be one if necessary." she looked up at Madaes with a weak smile across her face. "I wonder if the Winter will slow things down?"

Judith jumped a little when she heard footsteps behind them, she looked over her should briefly to make sure that it was not a potential threat. "It makes sense that they would struggle, the Orcs are big creatures... I don't think that any of us have ever dealt with an Orc before this." a weak laugh escaped from her, Judith had never thought she would be caught in such a war. She had never thought that she would be in another war after the one between the Dark and Light Elves.

"Look, up ahead!" Kane said aloud, he looked back at the other three. "It looks like we have found them and you're right Rhyldrin, they appear to be struggling." it was an odd thing to see a group of Dragonkin struggling against anything considering how strong they were. "Let's help them out, they could use all the help that they can get. Then we can find Marcus afterwards." Kane quickly left the group, Judith hesitated to follow she had not been able to find a weapon while travelling to here. She looked at Rhyldrin helplessly before speaking. "I lack a weapon... I'm useless when it comes to this right now."
