Bah, you people ate rubbish as students. When I was in grad school, I used to make vegetable couscous from fresh veg as my cheap meal. It was like $5 for a huge pot that last at least 6 meals.

@Wicked: Veggie couscous is the easiest entertaining dish ever. Stir fry random veggies, stir in some chicken bouillon, add any amount of couscous, flood with twice as much boiling water as couscous, stir, take off the heat and let sit covered for 5 mins.
