It also forces you to be more creative with things though, right?

Yeah very much so, I do a different version of each character I cosplay not just the main outfit.

As they say, necessity is the mother of all invention.....as such, if you want something, but lack the means to do it traditionally, then you will find other ways to do it! Truly shows how creative you are.
