i can try to look into it for you .. or we can make it easy and just make a sort of trial/spawn block somewhere where the normal user cant big out of it and can collect whatever we asked them to in order to prove they want to take time to be on the server

(like make a hole or block from bedrock that they cant get out of until a command is input or someone moves them

I may be able to set it so that they can only mine dirt with their fists. then have them hand over the dirt to me or an mod to be promoted into the 'user' bracket.
have them mine a full stack of dirt or something.

diamonds are always a lovely accident.

i've found a plugin that will let people pay for ranks with experience? think that would be okay?

it could be ok o.o i dunno i always liked the ranks being form donation (if you had that set up on other games) though they would be earning it XD

youd have be careful though to make sure no one can just work get the exp and spawn a bunch of stuff :P

this is all to confusing for me right now x_x going to make a default group in which they can only run around and do /spawn. they can't interact with anything, but they can chat and explore.

they're not even set to be noticed by mobs. they wont lose hunger, be noticed by mobs, be able to hurt mobs or even take damage. literally just explore and talk xD
