So it wasn't his real name and he could not remember his true name! Nari nodded a little as she listened to the other speak, it was odd to be the one listening now instead of the one speaking. "Don't worry about it, I was just curios is all." She threw her shoulders back in a shrug then smiled at the other. Nari could tell that the other was unhappy with the name that he had been given, it wasn't cute at all and she could only imagine how unhappy he had been to live in that cage for so long. At least he was free now and after he came to his senses he could leave whenever he wished to! Really he wasn't a burden to her, it was nice to have some company for once. She always went about her business alone and at times she felt rather lonely because of that. Even if he didn't speak much it was still nice to have his company. Though she wanted to speak to him more and ask him more questions she didn't want to become a nuisance. It also seemed that he was struggling to remember things about his past life, before he became a pet. Nari knew that it would do no good to pester him for information that he could not recall. The last thing that she wanted to do was to upset the other and to confuse him further. It was just simply fascinating to sit beside someone who was so different so it naturally made her curios but she held herself back from bothering him. "Listen, I know that you must be eager to leave the village but there is no need to rush yourself. Stay for however long you wish to, whenever you feel ready to leave then leave but do not leave unprepared." Nari felt a tug on her line then began to pull it in. "The others... They haven't seen a Naga for so long, I'd be lying if I told you that there wasn't any bad history between our races. There is but... That was so long ago and I think that once they see that you are not a threat to them they will settle down with the thought of you staying here." Nari fought with the beast that she had caught for a bit longer before pulling it from the water. "They aren't bad, just some are sheltered and become nervous easily when there is something new. They'll get use to you... I think that most of them are just curios." And she didn't think that any of them would be stupid enough to try anything. Especially seeing as the Naga was staying in her home. Then again she could always be wrong. Nari pried the fish from her hook then placed it inside of her bag, it was a good size and she hoped she could caught a few more like it. She was about to toss her line back into the water when she heard footsteps on the dock. Her ears went back and she turned to see Zarah running down the dock towards her. Zarah stopped in mid-run nearly falling on her face when Nari looked at her. Then she caught her balance and began to nervously play with the end of her dress. "What is it?" Nari asked, Zarah took a few steps forward and brought herself to stand in front of her sister. "Father wants to know when you plan to return..." Nari titled her head confused by what she had been told. "Oh... He wants you to help with the celebration, he's expecting you to as you always do every year." A sigh escaped from Nari then she shook her head a little. "He expects me to do everything around here, where is Brent?" Zarah's mouth opened but nothing came out. "Wait, don't answer that. Off with May again?" When she asked that she received a nod from her sister. It was easy to tell that Nari was irritated now, her brother was always running off with this one Deerling, May, and getting himself into trouble recently. Nari slowly stood then put of her hand with the fishing rod in it. "Do you know how to fish?" She asked, Zarah looked at the rod then back up at her. She managed to squeak out a quiet no and Nari sighed again. "Look I can't fish and hunt and gather and prepare for the celebration all at once!" Nari saw her sister's eyes twitch and realized she may make her cry. Why were children so sensitive? "No, no... Zarah! I'm not mad at you, I'm sorry... Look maybe-" She made Zarah take the fishing rod then placed her hands on her sister's shoulders and pushed her beside Loki. "Maybe Loki can teach you how to fish, I don't want to leave him alone and I haven't caught what we need." It wasn't a terrible idea, it was probably a good thing to have Zarah learn how to fish and help. Danya was only good at sewing and cooking, Talis was interested in healing and medicine... And Brent was interested in that damn May it seemed making him useless. "Is that alright with you?" She asked Loki then smiled, he didn't seem to oppose the suggestion and Nari thought she saw him nod. Nari took a moment to say goodbye to her sister and Loki then she ran off to return to the village. Zarah looked up at the Naga then smiled nervously at him. She seemed to become small, well she always did around strangers, she was rather timid. "I don't even know how to hold this properly or how to do anything..." She felt so useless and looked down at her feet. When Nari returned to the village she was greeted by her father, it seemed that since she had left they were preparing the village for the celebration. When he questioned where Zarah was Nari told him the truth and received quite the look. It took a while for her to convince her father not to go get her sister but eventually they began to concentrate on setting up the village for tonight.

He seemed to return to saying nothing as she spoke a little while longer. He didn't have anything to really say in truth, he was still planning to leave as soon as he got the chance to. It didn't feel right here, he knew there was years of bad blood between his kind and hers. It was slowly coming back to him why he knew what these creatures were. Back before the tribes and clans grew and changed it wasn't too uncommon for certain races to hunt others. Though truth be told seeing as Naga were so rare now it probably still happened every so often. It just might go unnoticed seeing as most seem to think such creatures are myths.
He was about to settle down where he was till Nari was finished with her fishing but that was disrupted as footsteps were heard. Noticing it was a small child, from the looks of it the one he had crossed paths with before he didn't bother to move. Instead he sat there and waited to see what would come of this seemingly unexpected visit. As the two talked it seemed like there was a event about to happen, the last place he wanted to be if the truth was known about it. Large gatherings and lots of noise, yeah he would rather pass on such things. Being a little lost in his thoughts he had nodded his head to something Nari had asked him and only after the girl was pushed next to him did he pick up on what he had agreed to. Why didn't he pay more attention at times. He was about to protest but Nari was already walking down the path back towards the village when he started to open his mouth. He gave up on that rather quickly. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad...it was just fishing after all and they had a easy enough method. It's not like he had to teach her to swim or hold her breath. After a few moments passed and the girl seemed to speak up in a timid void admitting she didn't know how to do any of it. He sighed slightly before shaking his head. He knew the girl was probably feeling down about this, she seemed to want to help just she was unable. For whatever reason no one had taken the time to teach her anything she should know. "We'll just have to fix that now won't we?" He finally spoke up almost telling and asking her at the same time. Though seeing as she was here still she didn't have a real choice in the matter of learning or not and fishing was simple. It was a thought in the back of his mind at what the girl's father would think of this, it was very apparent the man did not like his kind... He was half expecting a small mob at any given time accusing him of killing or eating the girl. Either way the sooner he taught her how to fish the sooner they could be back int he village and he could find some corner to curl up in and be away from whatever the village event was. The girl was still nervous it seemed, not that he could blame her really. She was so tiny compared to him. Even just sitting there it was easy to tell that if he wanted to killing her would be no hassle in the least. Then again the same went for most of Nari's kind if he was next to them. Not that he would, he had grown up different compared to most of his kind. His clan was the last of them to try and stick together and survive as a unit... though the humans made sure that did not last. The small group of twenty or so... all slaughtered or worse. He knew a few of them were skinned alive and he shuddered at the thought of remembering every detail of that night. But it would come sooner or later... The girl never spoke a word as she stood silently. Moving a little he lightly adjusted the pole the girl was holding and explained to her what to do as far as holding it went. Saying that it was better to hold with both hands and that way if a fish is large enough to jerk the pole then it won't snatch it from her. There were a few larger fish in this area so it was possible for that to happen. Well on that note it was possible for the girl to be dragged into the water, though he hoped that didn't happen. After she seemed to nod weakly and get a feel for how the pole was suppose to be held he went on to explain how to bait the hook on the next and how to cast the line out. Just to be careful on both. She could prick her finger or get the line stuck in a tree here. Then they'd have to fix a new hook all over again and that was no short task when it came to resetting a fishing hook. This seemed to go on for a little bit and he got her to swish the pole a little to get the idea of how to cast the line out. After he seemed satisfied with her form and she seemed to calm down and not be as nervous and shut up he said she could go about trying to get something. Whenever she caught something he would tell her on how to get it off the hook. After she had the line out he told her if she felt a good sized pull or snag on the line to jerk it a little, it'll ensure the hook gets stuck in the fish. Really it was rather funny listening to him explain things and show her things. It was like he had dealt with kids before, then again maybe he had. But he had picked most of this up from just watching Nari... his kind used spears to fish more often then not.

( Bad post D; ) As usual her father was exaggerating over every simple detail, he was a perfectionist and it often showed. He wanted everything to be just right and he didn't seem to make an exception for anything. Flowers had been placed outside of all of the homes! Pots full of a variety of colors, red, pink and white for some and purple, yellow and blue for others. Nari had placed each flower carefully making sure that each pot had an equal amount of each color. In the center of the small village a pit had been dug, carefully selected wood had been chosen and tossed into the pit. They planned to have a massive fire for tonight's feast. While Nari occupied herself by decorating elsewhere others brought out tables to place the food and drinks upon. She had even decorated all of the lanterns that were lit in the hours of the night. Flowers curled around the poles like a snake would around its prey, the village was now ready for the festival! She took a step back and for a moment looked around at the village pleased with the work that she had done. Then she suddenly realized something, it was growing darker outside now and Loki and Zarah had not returned yet. Nari felt rather guilty for leaving Zarah with poor Loki for so long. When she finally felt that there was nothing left to touch up she quickly turned on her heel then headed back towards the two others. As she approached the dock Nari slowed down making sure that her steps were quiet. A smile crept onto her face when she saw the two others sitting at the end of the dock, she also noticed the rather large amount of fish laying beside Zarah. She stopped a few steps behind the two then leaned down placing her hand on her sister's shoulder. "I think that's enough for the festival." She said to her, Zarah jumped and nearly dropped the fishing rod into the waters below. Nari whispered a few things to her sister, telling her to put away the fishing rods then to fit all of the fish into the bag. As her sister did so she looked at Loki then smiled. "I'm sorry for leaving her with you for so long, I got carried away with the decorating." A sudden noise came from the village, her ears twitched as she listened closely. It was a horn, then music began shortly. "Ah..." Nari looked over at Zarah who was now finished with putting away the fish. "Looks like the festival has begun, you should get going- Take the fishing rods, I'll carry the fish." Zarah nodded a little then handed the bag to Nari, she scooped up the fishing rods in her arms then ran off towards the path. She lifted the bag of fish from the ground and was surprised by the weight of the bag. She wondered how many fish had been caught and knew there would be plenty for tonight. "Let's head back!" She said aloud, then she began to make her way down the dock. Nari wasn't sure if Loki would want to join the festival, she hoped that he would. Perhaps it would be a way to make the others see that he wasn't bad.
