The desk I work at is a shared one, so its really really organized.
There is a jar for pens and such, there's one photo on this desk, a mechanical stapler...it is transparent so you can see it work when you use it. We've also got this nifty post-it organizer that has spaces for all your office needs. This desk is rather wide so there's ample space for a computer user and for another person to sit along side and work with books or whatever.

I use a shared desk, too. It's absolutely littered with my brother's text books, old computer parts, and dirty dishes. The only stuff of mine that's on the desk is an issue of GameInformer and a pack of gum.
