Mizuki led the way through thick bushes and under branches before he walked out on what seemed to be a large root from a tree. It was moss colored and glowed lightly with each step that Mizuki made. "This way..." He said softly before moving atop the root to walk on another branching root. It was like a spider web of roots. All of them conected in some sort of a way.

Below them a pond filled with glowing flowers and lilly pads rested calmly its water still only the movement of the fish below caused light rippels to form. Mizuki kept walking never looking down or above just ahead. Traveling through the trees was nothing to him.

Finally they reached a large tree with a hallow that gaped tall like an open mouth. Walking in Mizuki ducked a little before standing straight and walking down a winding stair case until a room came into veiw. It was filled with glowing flowers and giant leaves. Motioning to one that hung between two posts he nodded his head "Sleep" Was all he said before disapearing into another part of the hallow. Coming back Mizuki set up another bed in the same fasion before he himself sat down.

Placing his staff at his head Mizuki removed the dagger from his let and the bow from his back. Getting up Mizuki placed the bow on a hook by his head before he left to the same part of the hallow he had gone for the bed. Comming back he tossed what seemed to be a loin clothe towards Alton. Mizuki then sat back down before pulling his braid over his shoulder and laying down his tail wrapping around his waste.

Following this path that Mizuki lead out before him was easier said then done. He was lucky he had experiences that helped about now. Not that they allowed him to keep up to the others speed across the roots and everything. Why was this one helping him.. let alone if he was a prince was did it seem like he was alone. Sure he could ask but he wasn't about to bite the hand that was helping him.

Everything here was different, as if they were in one of the many books he had read as a child. Or the many fantasy movies that seemed to be released anymore. But this was all.. real.. No special effects or computer graphics. He was still getting over most of this as he tried to keep up with the other till they came to what seemed to be the location Mizuki was leading them.

Once inside following his lead he looked around just slightly before the other spoke. It sort of reminded him of a hammock. Though he never voiced said though, he was worn out from everything. Sleep was something he could agree on. His body needed it, though thinking about it he had to take that same route to get out of this place..

After the other seemed to lay down with his back towards him he bothered to change what was left of his clothing to the piece he was just thrown. Personally he rather liked being covered fully, but he guessed this would have to do. He would rather hide the scars along his body then to display them as they were now, but it was a bit late to be picky about such a thing.

He needed to relax his mind or he'd never get to sleep though he thought as he got about to laying down in the said 'bed'. He could question things tomorrow. Or he could be killed tomorrow for all he knew. Why did he agree to this, if he had just turned down this offer he could have been home watching tv, drinking a beer anything..

Mizuki easily fell asleep as soon as he laid down with his backtwards the other. Now thee was something about Mizuki that little knew about but at the very crack of dawn weather he saw the sun or not he was up not even a late night would stop this. So least to say Mizuki was up before Alton was an understatement.

Mizuki was already out and back with something to eat. A small fire was placed in the middle of the room where a shallow pit had been dug. Here he set a small creature to cook after being skinned. Using his magic Mizuki made a bubble above the fire that sucked all the smoke into it. This kept the room from getting smokey. The meal was cooked and fruits and bread had been recovered. All that was left was the still resting Alton "UP!" Was all Mizuki said and watched as the male fell from his hamic with a snort of laughter.

He groaned a little, as he tried to remember what the hell was even going on. "ugh.. I feel like i'm back in boot camp.." He groaned again before sitting up and remembering what the hell was even going on around him. Well least he knew for sure it wasn't because he was drugged or drinking too much. It would have sobered off a little by now for sure.

Rubbing his head a little he tried to get his skull to stop hurting. to say he was rested was hardly the case. He hardly got any sleep, noises and sounds waking him. His body throbbing once in a while from the events before hand stirring him just as he would fall asleep.

Once he was awake enough to try and be social on a nice level he looked at the other before cracking his neck seeing as it had a kink in it. "Morning to you too.." He noticed the other still seemed amused by his fall from the 'bed' Sure he could say thank you but that didn't seem like it would get him anywhere.

Though he did need to figure out how to work the communication between him and the human world.. Maybe he could talk these people into letting him go back. He wasn't going to get whatever information they were after..

Mizuki looked at Alton for a moment before he indicated to the spread of cooked meat, fruit and bread before him "Eat and I promise you will feel better" He said before handing the male a cup of some steaming liquid. It was light in color but the smell was something else... "Trust me it will heal" was all he said before he himself dug into the meal before him.

Just because the male did not wish to eat right away was not his fault and he wouldnt hold back simply for that sake. Looking up he noticed that Alton had not moved "Either you drink and get better or you leave and die" He said giving him the only two options he wanted to.

Mizuki then went back to eating silently to himself. Mizuki was or has been a loner for a long time so the company of anyone was weird to say the least. Mizuki had no idea that he was being so brash and mean. Back then he was kind and mindfull of everything and everyone. 'Maybe this is good...' A little voice spoke in the back of Mizukis mind but he dismissed that thought quickly. He would let the male heal and rest then he would leave.

He was going to question what was in the drink that e was handed. Though given the two options he was given he didn't have much of a choice. Sighing a little he went ahead and bit the bullet and drank the liquid in one go. He couldn't help but cringe at the taste of it. It was like a blend of some of the herbal teas he had taken back on earth and then with some of the chalky liquids thrown into it. At best he wanted to throw up right away, but he managed to keep it down.

What was he going to do though, he couldn't follow around this guy for forever. what if he was stuck here. Sure he was a gun for hire but damn it he had whatever poor excuse he called a life back home. Though thinking of home, maybe it was better off just to stay here. To be away from it all.

Taking a piece of the meat that was prepared he spoke before trying any of it. "Thank you... " When the other seemed to glance at him he spoke once more. "You could have left me back there, no one would have missed one mercenary no returning to base." It was true enough, they were not looked for if they did not return. Though he felt like the thanks fell on deaf ears seeing as the other never made any further acknowledgement to him speaking.

Mizuki sat there and listened. He was going to comment with something along the lines of a yeah right but the tone of the males voice showed that he wasnt kidding. Thinking upon everything the male said he choose his next words carefully "Did...you get banished?" He asked softly. Mizuki knew it was the wrong choice of words but he didnt know how else to explain it but he tried once more "Forced to leave you home...." He said.

Thats what happened to Mizuki. His father banished him for a choice he made wrongly with only a riddle as to when he could return. Mizukis eyes glazed over a little as he thought of that day though he quickly recovered with a little shake of his head "Never mind" He said before eating once more.

"Banished?" He seemed to question those words, but it was explained a moment later by the other. He seemed to look down for a moment before speaking again. "You.. could say that yes. My first home anyway, the second one. They just don't bother looking for strays."

He never questioned why the other said never mind, it wasn't his place to. This Mizuki had already done most then enough to cause Alton to owe him. Though after eating a little bit of food he had to question the other. "Why then?" When he got the others attention he spoke again. "Why help me? You made it sound like you had seen many humans here yet they all died, I'm going to assume you didn't waste your time helping them."

Mizuki listened to the other male and paused a moment before speaking "No, I did not help the others" He spoke "But you..." Mizuki paused a moment his tail thrashing at his side with his thought "Your...different" He said slightly 'With a strong heart" After a second Mizuki continued "But your stupid and your lack of knowledge sickens me" He said not wanting the moment of kindness to get the better of him.

Mizuki then looked at the other male with intrest "There is something the great mother needs of you and it seems no one else can do this one thing' He spoke "Other wise she would not have saved your life three times since your arrivel" Mizuki did not want to tell the other he would of killed him twice plus the plant so he just left it at that

"Different yet stupid.. I can live with that.." He seemed to take that better then most. Then again he had been called worse in his life. He wasn't go about complaining that he wasn't told anything and he was forced here against his will. The other probably didn't care to hear it. It was his own fault after all for walking into such a offer having a gut feeling it was a bad deal.

"huh?" He seemed to question what the other said. What or whoever this great mother was he needed to thank her, he rather liked living. Even if it were here. "I wouldn't waste my time saving my life. Back in the human world I'm just a gun.. er blade for hire" He said gun but it seemed like he wouldn't know what he was talking about. "I've done a number of things I regret." So long as the pay was right.

In truth he wasn't sure why anyone would save him. He was just a walking corpse. Sooner or later something here would kill him and he knew it. He wasn't at the top of his game here at all. Not almost dying within the first hour of waking up anyway.

Mizuki tilted his head at the word gun. Though he didnt let it get to him as he continued to listen before he spoke again "We all do things we regret" He said in a little far off voice "But if its ment to be it shall...and you are ment to be it would seem' Mizuki said before stretching out a little cracking joints in the process "What she wants you for is unclear so until that day I will keep you alive" He said with a little shrug of his shoulders.

The great mothers plan was devine. The holey of all things and if she wanted something to be then it shall be and Mizuki believed this most of all. Shaking his head slightly Mizuki looked down to his it would seem that the time of being a loner was over and Alton was there for awhile.

Listening to Mizuki explain things a little more, he caught on the great mother was whatever goddess they believed in. He didn't voice that he thought she had made a poor choice at best. "I guess you and me both will have to see..." He had to admit he was curious as to why a outsider would need to be kept alive. Though for now he thanked his good fortune.

"Wait.. keep me alive?" He felt odd asking such a thing. "Can't I... I dunno learn on how to do that myself? You've already helped me enough." Plus he hated relying on another to stay alive, he had done it before but.. he would just rather get out of Mizuki's hair and be able to go and do whatever he wanted.

Then again.. learning to live here might be more work then he thought. He had no idea of the dangers here or anything. Hell he had no idea what was poison or not.

Mizuki grunted at the answer the male before him gave "So you would like to try and make it your self all the while asking to be killed" Mizuki said in more of a statement then a question. That is when Mizuki thought for a moment before he spoke again "If you are determined to live life like I then let me at least make sure you will live the night and day" He said.

Though this earned a questioned look from Alton and he sighed a little closing his eyes "I will teach you the ways of the forest...what to eat, attack and when to run" He spoke softly "Then at least I tried to keep you alive" It was more then a good offer.

"Minus the death part.. heh.." He knew he didn't look like much but damn did he have to be blunt about it. "I don't want to depend on someone for everything. I'll just be in the way if I don't learn." Aside from that he figured sooner or later this guy would like his life back.. prince or not. Though when the other stopped talking he felt like he was going to turn down the offer.

Though that thought was disrupted as Mizuki spoke again saying he'd teach him. "You won't regret it." Alton finally spoke up saying, or at least he thought he wouldn't. Alton was a good learner, though he could picture some things being tricky to pick up on. This world after all was no Earth.. or he didn't think it was. maybe after this was through he could repay Mizuki in some way, though he wasn't sure how. they didn't use money here from the looks of things and Mizuki was capable of surviving on his own.

Mizuki nodded his head in response. He knew that he wouldnt regret it he had a good feeling though he couldnt discribe it "Then eat and heal" He said sternly still noting the other had not eaten anything. This is where Mizuki stood before grabbing his staff and bow. He needed to check the trails and trap lines "I will return do not leave the hallow" He said slightly before heading out the door without a second thought. Mizuki had not said those words to the other male to be mean but to possible save Alton from any stupid ideas of wondering and getting lost within the dense shrub around them.

Like he had plans to leave this place. Least here seemed safe enough. He knew he still needed to recover a bit so after the other left he did as he was told and tried to eat something. Though his stomach was hardly agreeing with him with the drink from before. Though he did manage to keep whatever he ate down.

His first thought was to at least look around the hallow he was in, but he shook his head a little feeling a little weak again. Aside from that this wasn't his home so he'd rather not poke around and offend the one being trying to help him. He settled on the idea of sleeping till the other returned, though he could probably sleep after he returned with how little he spoke.

He still felt a little odd being around someone while pretty much being naked minus one thing of under-cloth on. He'd have to learn to deal with it. At least it wasn't like on Earth where everyone would ask right away what the scars are from. Though with that thought e managed to force himself to rest in the 'bed' once again. Maybe this time he wouldn't wake up and fall from it..
