I'm actually torn. Because I really loved Arrietty so much that I can't decide if it's my favorite or if Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite.
I don't know how many or what all of Miyazaki's works are, but I'm wanting to say I've seen at least 5 of them.
And I really have liked them all quite a lot.
I really liked that Arrietty, while based on The Borrowers, really did not make me think of the American movie put out when I was a kid. I really was afraid it would be too similar, but it was very well done.

If I hadn't been able to find it online, I wouldn't have seen it yet either.
I hope you can find a way to watch it soon!

I saw it in the theaters and would buy the DVD when I get money.

It's really very good and I thought it wouldn't be as good as the book.

I didn't get to watch it when it was on the cinemas, but I'll buy it when I get the time and money. I'm a big Studio Ghibli fan, so it'll fit perfectly in my movie collection. ^^

I will not lie, when ever we have ham i say ham as many times as i can just like ponyo. The number one thing i didn't like about Ponyo was how the american actors pronouced it! ugh... not panyo PONYO

and i love ALL studio ghibli movies, but my tops are The cat returns, Spirited Away, Laputa.

And so everyone know Miyazaki did screen play on Arrietty

I feel like I'm the only person who saw Ponyo in Japanese, and not English.

I haven't watched the Arrietty one yet, I remember seeing a copy somewhere when I didn't have the spare funds to purchase it.

I watched Ponyo in Japanese, they were showing a few selected Anime movies on TV and all of them English subtitles in Japanese.. My grandparents actually sat there and watched it with me through sometimes I ended up lost in what was going on.. I more prefer to see the English dubbed but I think now you get the choice of English and Japanese.. or at least when I bought the four Sailor Moon movies, I had the options of both languages.

Through, I am hoping to learn a bit of Japanese cause all the animes I want to watch are not dubbed and I want to enjoy the Japanese episodes without fan subs.

Snap!
I downloaded a torrent of this movie and it was actually kind of boring. I was anticipating a little more action and dialogue. It was a cute movie though and I would watch it again, just not anytime soon.

My first and favorite Ghibli film was My Neighbor Totoro. <3

I LOVED Arrietty, which I just saw about a month ago. I didn't think it was boring at all, but it was very quiet and introspective, so I can see how others might see it that way.

I also thought Ponyo was creepy as heck and Howl's Moving Castle mutilated the much-superior book by making the last half totally nonsensical and dumbing down the characters, though >.> (I could REALLY get on a rant about Howl but I would rather not, so let's just say the book is way better.) Also, Miyazaki didn't direct Arrietty; he's not the only Studio Ghibli director, but people like to forget that. (I hope he'll make a movie as good as Princess Mononoke again one of these days... I liked Spirited Away a lot but Ponyo and Howl were just disappointing.)

Although miyazaki didn't direct or produce it, but he did screen play the movie. So he had a pretty big say in what went on in the movie.

As for Howl's moving Castle I never read the book so i wouldn't be able to say if the book was better or not, though I think that is most likely is because you are not the only person to say that to me.

Ponyo was defiantly not one of his award winners, but i really enjoyed it. not much to say about it because it was fantastic like any of his earlier movies. And I don't think we are going to see much of him any more he was suppose to be retired when ponyo came out, so for him to create another movie just seems unlikely, not impossible, but unlikely. Though I thought i heard somewhere that his son was going to be joining the team and become a director/producer, though i am not to excited for that.....

Goro Miyazaki's already made a movie -- Tales of Earthsea, which didn't do all that well but I haven't seen it yet.

Apparently Hayao Miyazaki was kind of a dick about it because he didn't want his son getting into animation for whatever reason.

As for Ponyo I found it REALLY FREAKING CREEPY. I don't understand why people think it's cute, frankly ^_^* And Ponyo herself was pretty much a total brat!
