I suppose not. Its not like I hate her because I don't like her music. I was raised on Dio, BB king, Megadeth, Motorhead, W.C. Handy, etc... I just don't like country, pop music.

And drugs and musicians... Who would have thought such a thing would ever happen...

But it doesn't really matter. If parents thought she was going to be a role model for their kids then they have bigger issues. Hell I knew a 10 old who loved lady Gaga and she kept singing her songs out loud. I couldn't help but ask her if she knew what the words meant and she had no idea and I even asked her mother if she had heard the music and knew what the lyrics meant but she didn't and still believes lady gaga is a good role model for her daughter... That's a bit off topic but my point is that no one can remain a "role model" forever and there are worse former role models out there then a teen singer doing recreational drugs ... Like OJ Simpson for one example...

Eh, every popular singer is going to have people hate them and criticize their every move. Justin Bieber,Lady Gaga, etc.
However I don't like Miley Cryrus music. Just not my taste. But I do think that because she's a disney star and not to long ago turned 18, it was just time for her to to to rebel, it just sucks that her every move is in the tabloids.
I believe that this is the same thing that happened to Britney Spears.

I don't hate Miley Cyrus. I think I've heard her sing two songs.
One of them being that insanely catchy Party in the USA and just from typing that the songs going to be in my head all night. I listened to it once when it came out and it can still get stuck in my head. Probably because ear worms tend to more persistent if you don't know the whole song. Oh well.

The other song I've heard was a cover of Nirvana's Smells like Teen Spirit. Which wasn't half the train wreck I thought it would be. It was funny and probably not in the way she intended it to be.. but I had a good laugh.

As to whether or not she's slutty? The ice cream stand stripper pole thing was a bit much but I only knew about that because Kathy Griffin was making fun of her. Far as I know she's not sleeping with a ton of guys so no she's not a slut. Does she do certain things or dress a certain way to get gums flapping about her? Of course she does. Because that works.

Almost anytime she pops up on my radar it's because she's done something so "OMG" and yahoo or whatever website can't shut up about it. Otherwise I would have just forgotten about her by now. Her handlers and PR team know exactly what they're doing. She's not "out of control" honestly I think most if not all of her wild streak is a calculated, cultivated image.

All singers that start out there don't make it very far.
Look at Hillary Duff. Miley's Daddy put her where she is now.
She had her good times, now she just needs to.. go.

I don't really care for Miley Cyrus. Not because of what she does. (( Frankly, I don't pay attention to celeb gossip. Never been my thing. )) I just don't care for her voice. I won't go around bashing her or get mad if one of her songs come on; I'm just not going to go out of my way to listen to her.

As for her behaviour... well, everyone screws up now and again. Part of being human; her being a celeb doesn't automatically mean she has to be perfect.

I don't like her, never did. I never liked her show, and I don't like her outfits, but I'm just not into mainstream music, like at all, I just don't really see anything special in her.

Personally I have nothing against Miley. I watched a little of Hannah Montana through not my favorite show, I can tolerate it better than some of the crap Disney has out now.

And these days, is it a crime to kiss a girl? Doesn't mean she's into girls, she was probably trying to figure out who she is. All girls go through stages where they wonder if they rather be with a guy or a girl, a part of how life is in this era.

And sadly, look at the other Disney stars that have came through besides Britney, Justin and Christina.. rarely do you hear of any past Disney star making it bad after leaving Disney like Raven or Christy Carlson Romano, I haven't heard anything regarding them for years.

Miley will have her ups and downs, that is part of being a young Disney star and I don't think she's really suited for country music, she just doesn't have the voice. Maybe pop or dance would be her best career move but in the end, I think you may see Miley fizzle out and fade into the background.
