I'm not a fan of remakes in general. Especially remakes of good movies. Like the original Clash of the Titans movie. That should have never been remade. It just flopped sop hard.

I'd be interesting in seeing 'updated' versions of movies rather than remakes. The Birds, for instance. Leave the story as it is but possibly update some of the effects. That can still be tough though. I still prefer the old 1950's Moby Dick over the 1990s one because the old whale hunting footage and model whales were better to me than the computer generated whales in the newer film. Of course, advances in those same computer graphics could mean a remake now would be much better. Blah. Too many variables.
Some movies are so old and out of date that they really do benefit from a remake. House on Haunted Hill for one thing. I watched the original with Vincent Price, and the remake with Geoffrey Rush and while I appreciate the original as the source, the latter one does appeal to me more. Personally I'd like to see remake of Jeepers Creepers. Both my sister and I believed it had a solid start and good potential but ended up flopping. In this case, it might be less a remake and more a second try.

People seem to be going crazy with horror movie remakes (at least for the past few years, now)... the only amazing horror movie remake to me was Rob Zombie's Halloween, I loved it, and I love Rob Zombie, but ye.
As for movies I'd like to see remade... I'm not really sure, no real movies come to mind. Maybe I'd actually like to see The Fifth Element remade, but only if Gary Oldman had some sort of cameo appearance in it. xD ![]()
