There are vendors who only put food coloring into it (or some don't even), and others who add artificial flavour. I remember a yellow one tasting like lemon and a green with a hint of woodruff. Oddly enough, blue was pineapple.

That doesn't sound appetizing to me... okay, it does, but... I don't think it would taste very good.

I've seen bacon-flavored cotton candy... apparently it's made with the liquid smoke stuff and isn't really all that good.
