Sorry for the late reply...got distracted organizing my dvds. Anyway, as it was a used car, when I bought it, it had a small oil leak. Something that wouldn't be that big a deal except apparently it was leaking into the starter. So now I not only need to fix the oil leak, but I also need a new starter.

Means lots of walking for me. (over 4 miles to work, 8 round trip)

I am so sorry. That sucks. Most I ever had to walk for work was about 2-3 give or take. Tell me there's at least sidewalks where you are so you can walk safely. xD When I was going to work where I lived there weren't any side walks so I had to walk with the cars or in the ditch.
