people do make their own custom tokens.. so maybe there was an effect similar to tokens back then? Then someone made some tokens for thier deck or something..

the one Cat Warrior token has official art .. it was on the MTG website xD so I dunno

maybe they took the art and made their token.. I save the images and when I get ink.. I'll print them out =p have a few tokens for if I ever play

Yeah I'm trying to decide if i have the guts to try to do one of the events today after work. I really want to but i have nooooo idea what i'd do. And yeah ducky its an official place to play.

i would just jump in and see. i'm sure they'd be understanding of a new player wanting to get into the community. I would love to go, and I'm still quite the newbie to the Magic universe.

I tried a tournament once. The cards I saw that day scared me o .O

There was this one card that actually allowed you to take a card that was separate from the game itself and put it into your deck.

Though if you do participate in an event you'll learn more then you could by yourself. You'll learn all types of strategies and deck combinations that you might of thought would have never worked together. Even if you don't participate and you still go to one its nice just to watch.
