Kali went back to the bench, surprised to see Solomon just sitting there, waiting for her. He usually never listened. She smiled a bit, sitting next to him and scratching his head behind his ears, "When they say 'ignorance is bliss' they truly mean it Solo. I should've just stayed home and gone to take my test in the morning." The cat purred, rubbing his face against her arm.

Jasmine had looked into quite a few rooms in the vast house before finding Zac's bedroom. She opened the door slowly, as she had all the others, and was surprised to see him lying on his bed. "Zac..." She was uncertain of what to say, but she knew she had to say something. Quickly she entered to room and shut the door behind her, leaning against it for support. "I... can't pretend to know what you're feeling. I've never loved someone outside of my family as intensely as you have but... I don't think hiding your feelings and past will help anything." She nearly winced at her last words. Surely she could say nothing about locking away feelings. After all, wasn't she hiding pains of her own, even as she spoke of letting such things go?

Zac sighed, "I have a long past Jasmine." He said holding the picture to his chest. "Most of my past isn't good." He said looking at Jasmine. "Randy was out of line. I told him not to show anyone that. And his wife would of done worse to him, she probably would of put a curse or something on him." He said pointing to the floor. "His wife was a witch." Zac said with a sigh.

Jasmine laughed slightly, though she knew this was no time for amusement. "I assume you mean that literally, and not as comment on her personality." She sighed then, her smiled leaving her face and came to sit on the edge of his bed. "I agree, it was wrong of him to break your promise but... sometimes friends do what they think is best for each other, regardless of promises. If they think it will help in the long run... then sometimes they are willing to withstand the consequences and simply do what they think is best. Right or wrong."

"Ya, I mean literally. But sometimes she was a witch, personality wise." Zac said with a small smile. "But she was a great friend. It's too bad witches can only live to 100 years." He said with a sigh. "I know, it's just that I don't want everyone to know my past." He said looking away from Jasmin. "There is somethings, that would make your blood curdle." Zac said.

Jasmine nodded. "I can't say I don't believe that. You've probably seen and experienced things that I couldn't even begin to come to terms with. I know that but... it's worse when your the only one who knows them. Sharing the pain with someone lessens the potency of it, don't you think?" She looked over at him for a long moment, wondering about his pain, about his life and all his experience. With such an old age she believed they must be very numerous.

"I shared all of my past with Rox. And she in turn told everything to Randy, and he has told the twins." Zac said with a sigh. "There was this one time, when I was just turned. I went to Tobercurry, Ireland. I by myself wiped that city off of the map." He said with an evil smile. "Women, children, everyone." He said still smiling. He looked at Jasmine and his smile went away, "Well Tobercurry is back now." Zac said trying to shake off his giddiness.

Jasmine sighed, a long tried sounding sigh. She gazed up at the ceiling for a endless moment, her eyes looking at what wasn't there. Pain. Love. Hope. Anger. Lust. All these things were intangible, yet they changed the lives of those they touched in immeasurable ways.

"What about... at trade. I don't know if it would help but perhaps... a memory for a memory. I saw a painful memory of yours so perhaps... I could give you one of mine." She wasn't actually too keen on this idea. Her secrets were her own and never meant to be shared. They were supposed to be forgotten. But she felt it might help him.

Zac sighed, "No you don't have to." He said pulling her chin down. "Life is full of heartbreaking moments." He said with a small smile. He looked into her eyes, "Don't worry about my heartache, it will either pass or I will have it wiped from my memory." He said letting go of Jasmin's chin. "If there is a god he has his reasons for making peoples lives hell." He said with a sigh. "Now, enough of this sadness. You should probably go and eat." Zac said placing the picture into the nightstand.

Jasmine let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding. It was relief to be able to stuff her memory away. If she were a braver, and stronger person she would press the issue and insist he know, but she was not a braver and stronger person. She smiled slightly and stood, stretching a little. "Yes, yes, food. I'd nearly forgotten." She paused then, before saying, "Though... if you ever need to talk you know where I am."

Zac nodded with a smile, "Thanks." He said standing up. "Now let me help you find the kitchen. I'm surprised you found my room." He said with a chuckle. "And you are one of the few people that has been in my room." He said putting his arm around her neck. "Maybe I will take you and Kali to meet my uncle." Zac said with another chuckle as he led Jasmine out of the room.

Kali sat forward after..God knows how much time had passed. She looked around, not seeing Solomon, and frowned. "Where'd that stupid cat run off to this time?" She stood up, smoothed her skirt, then walked around the property, being careful to keep at least the high point of the house in view. "Solo you damn idiot, get over here!" She put her fingers to her lips and let her whistle peel through the silence.

Jasmine laughed and blushed, looking away sheepishly. "I can't really say I had a plan or anything to find it. I just kind of looked in every door I came across until I got lucky." For all the things she lacked determination is not one of them. "I got lucky rather quickly, thankfully. Else I would have been still wondering this maze of a house." She smiled and looked up at him, slightly surprised by the feeling of his arm around her.

She grinned when he mentioned that she was one of the few to ever go into his room. It made her feel slightly special, if only a little bit. "Oh? Then you're not some hotshot who has girls flocking to his bed? Surprising." She teased good-naturedly. She walked with him, letting him take the lead, admitting to herself she would never find her a way back to the kitchen on her on. "Your Uncle?" She asked.

"It may be a maze, but it is nice." Zac chuckled. "No I don't like the idea of one night stands and such. I can force people.... But that doesn't seem right taking their freedom away." He sighed. He heard the doorbell and sighed, "Now who could that be?"

"Zac?!" The twins backed away from the door nervously.

"Come now girls, I'm not that bad." Adam smiled as he walked into the house.

"Son of a..." Zac growled. "Jasmine, go into a room and stay there until I get you." With that he vanished. "What do you want Adam?" He reappeared.

"Can't I just say hi to my favorite cousin?" Adam chuckled.

"No you can't..." Zac crossed his arms.

Jasmine's eyes widened for a split second in surprise. She remembered this vampire, Adam, though she had only seen him once. She knew very little about him besides that he was Zac's cousin.

She bit her lip slightly at Zac's command. Surely it was the intelligent to do as he said, but she couldn't help but be curious. With a reluctant look she turned to find a room to stay in, but not before casting a look at Adam. She stared at his face for a long moment, not sure what'd she find there, or even what she was looking for. Her own face held just a slight bit of irritation and fear, though both were nearly lost in the curiosity in her expression. What exactly made these two hate each other so?

With that she found the nearest room she could and shut the door behind her. It was for the best, she knew, but curiosity told her to go back and see what happened. She reminded herself that curiosity killed the cat.
