But you see, I am just nice to everyone who's not being a jerk to me or my family/friends
To me it comes rather natural (and that's why I always end up getting hurt or used =_=; )

You should never feel bad about yourself. Just be who you are, don't live for other people. Unless you get married, then you kind of have to. Only a little though.
