[Taiye]

She listened to Taishi and sighed, "If only it were that easy. I am bound to Ascellus. She saved me. I must do all that She wishes..." Taiye turned her head to the recruit and smiled, trying to reassure herself.

[Blaqkin]

"Wings are always an upside to this, if you have to only have one... I think my one upside would be the gift of sight... For... Obvious reasons, you know? Though, a second would probably be my wings... Flying is much less tiresome than walking seeing as how you can get farther much quicker..." Blaqkin said and then sighed. She then shifted herself so that she fell over onto her side, propped herself up on her elbow. She turned her attention back to Taiye instead of the ground she was fiddling with. "Though, sometimes... This could be thought of as a bad thing." She shrugged with that statement and knew she didn't much like the idea of technically living forever, but she knew it was a great thing to be serving her God.

[Taiye]

"I must admit that I do not use my wings very often. And I supposed living forever could be tiresome. Anyone you'd grow close to would one day die while you continue." she thought about this for a moment and continued with a smile, "Another reason I should be glad that I have you as a friend. You'll always be around." she laughed jokingly.

[Taishi]

Taishi smiled the way that only a mother could hoping to bring ease to her captain, she listend to what she had to say "your lucky you only have to listen to one... try and listen to four, they give you a headache..." she would say with a light chuckle, what she failed to mention that her line was directly decended from her races deity's "nothing is ment to last or live forever miss, it is a curse in disguise" she would say closing her eyes once more listening to the song of the gentle breeze

[Blaqkin]

Just as she'd said that loved ones would die, Blaqkin smiled. She knew she'd always have at least two people that she would enjoy having around... That wouldn't die. That would be Braen, seeing as how she always have to serve him and do as he says... And Taiye, seeing as how when someone cares as much as she did, that isn't easily forgotten. When they were both mortal then things were a lot different... And Taiye was her only friend. She helped her around since she couldn't see.
"It would appear that you are correct," she said with a laugh. She then shook her head and sighed softly. It was obvious that she found her friend's accusation comical.

[Taiye]

Even though so much had changed since they were mortal, Taiye was glad that her best friend from back then could stick around, even though they were on opposite sides. Better than nothing she reasoned. They were best friends back then because they only had each other. All the other kids were afraid of Taiye because of her parents' rankings in the army and she liked to play fight, somewhat rough. This changed when she had met Blaqkin because she was so delicate. She taught Taiye to be less rough and made her into a much more caring person. Taiye was grateful for this and she appreciated her dear friend much more than she ever really stated.

She grabbed some grass and playfully threw it at Blaqkin, "It just kind of sucks that you can see now though, I always had such fun sneaking up on you." she laughed.

"You could be right Taishi. It could indeed be a curse, I wonder..."

[Taishi]

Taishi smiled "My race practically live forever because of how long our life spans are... I've seen many of my elven friends I knew from their birth die of old age" she would say gently "And you could still sneak up on her miss your just to heavy on your feet when you walk" she would say playfully watching as her captain was playing like a playful child on a playground

[Taiye]

"Ahh I see. You understand what I am talking about then. It is sad in it's own way and probably why a lot of people that are immortal tend to not befriend many."

She laughed at the rest of Taishi's comment, "I suppose I am. I don't think I was as loud back when I was younger. I was a lot different back then."

[Blaqkin]

Grinning broadly, Blaqkin held up her hand to keep the grass from hitting her. She then sat up some and shook her head. "You know it was hard to sneak up on me anyway though because you were always so loud!" she said with a loud laugh at the end, sounding much like she did when they were younger. She had always talked really quietly, but there was something about her laugh that could brighten an entire room... She hadn't laughed in a long time though. She really only laughed when she was around people she cared about. Those people were scarce now a days.

[Taishi]

Taishi continued to watch the captain she found it remarkable how innocent and childlike they trully where around one another, her eyes widned slightly as she heard the darker captain laugh and smiled brightly "You have a wonderful laugh miss" she would say her voice showing she ment what she said, her gaze then fell upon her own captain "Miss if you walk from ball to heel then you will not be heard as much, is you also walk slower and slow your breathing it will also help" she would say giving some advice hoping she wasn't over stepping boundries

[Taiye]

"That's what made it more fun. I had to give you some leeway otherwise it wouldn't have been fair." she laughed acting like she was loud on purpose. This moment was relaxing. Taiye was the most relaxed that she's been in a while and it felt like old times before everything became so complicated.

Taiye pondered about Taishi's advice. "I will try that, thanks." She smiled, appreciating the advice. She had always had a loud walk, it just seemed like part of who she was and never had considered that she could change it. It might be helpful after all.

[Blaqkin]

"If you want to try to make yourself seem more stealthy... Then you just go ahead. I'll always know that most of the time- I was victorious instead of you," Blaqkin said and laughed once more. She then shook her head as she knew this was so very... Out of character for her. She hadn't been her old self in such a long time. She pushed herself up and sat there, looking down at the grass. It was so strange to think of things as they were now... And as they used to be.
Turning to look at the recruit, whom she'd honestly forgot was there, Blaqkin couldn't help the slight pink color that rose to her lips. She'd felt so relaxed that she was around her old friend that she'd let herself grow softer... Though, there was no need to be completely hard here. She then cleared her throat and turned her face back down. "Thank you, I suppose," she said, her voice returning to the normal soft and melodic tone it always was... That was one thing that had not changed about her.

[Taiye]

Taiye smirked, "Yeah whatever, you being blind enhanced all your senses. How could I compete with that?" she rolled over in the grass to face Blaqkin with a friendly smile. She wanted to enjoy this moment, because with this war, she didn't know if or when there would be another one.

[Blaqkin]

"You still had the upperhand because you could actually see... You could see what you were stepping on... You just didn't care to make yourself more silent," Blaqkin said and laughed. That had always been her excuse... Her blindness did, indeed enhance her senses... But she still couldn't see as it was. She shook her head and leaned against the tree, turning her eyeless face to look out over the fields. Saddly, she didn't need to turn her face to look anywhere. She didn't have any eyes because when she'd promised to be loyal to her God, no matter what, he'd taken her eyes... He'd taken her useless eyes and had given her the ability to see in every direction. He took her eyes away to ensure that no one would be able to steal her ability to see ever again.

[Taiye]

"Haha.. I admit I had bit of an ego back then and didn't think I needed to be silent since I was such a skilled fighter at that age. But you always seemed to outsmart me so I guess you were always my biggest rival." she smirked. She understood why her friend chose Braen and she didn't hold it against her. She just sometimes wished there could have been a better way, but there was nothing that could be done about it now.

[Blaqkin]

"That was always one of your downfalls when you did lose, wasn't it, Taiye? You were a little too cocky. You don't seem to be that way now though and that's refreshing... It means you're even more skilled of a fighter than you used to be... You were more skilled fighting against people that didn't know you though," Blaqkin said with a stern nod. She knew that Taiye always got in fights when they were in school and it wasn't surprising seeing as how her parents were in the army. She wanted to go into the army too... And she surely did. She put her skills to good use when she was mortal too though... It's a pity she had to be taken out of commission the way she was.
