It's not, but it's a huge book, so there is plenty to cover and stuff.

Because unless you are going into that one specific field of criticizing literature or reviewing books you will never need to use it

Exactly. It's not really necessary for what I want to go into, and yet it's a large chunk of my grades...

That sucks! Right now a large part of my grade for one of my classes is doing a presentation on a food born illness and i have a toxin called clostridium perfringes
