Ohh, that reminds me. I used to make a salad I really liked that included pieces of dulse. But I can't remember what else it had.

It's another type of sea vegetable. You can eat it dry, but it has more of a...meaty/chewy texture than nori? But can also be prepared different ways in cooking.

You do have to be cautious about shells that might have become adhered to it.

I’m a sucker for... uh... it’s, um, a type of sea snail? A lot smaller than your typical escargo. Common food item on the islands off the coast of Taiwan. Lots of work prepping them, though — they have a little end cap that you need to remove, and then getting them out of their shells requires a lot of practice (I don’t quite have the wrist motion down yet), or you’ll end up breaking off most of the sea snail in the shell, and then it’s nigh impossible to extract.

Hella tasty boiled and seasoned w a bit of soy sauce and garlic.

They’re good. I like the larger ones as well. French shit’s too expensive though.

o fudge, i haven't had snails in a long time. don't remember what species either lmfao, but they're small, black, and toothpicks were used to skewer the meat out. we used a wok to stir fry them.

We actually used needles for ours — both to remove the cap, and to twist out the meat.
