...but of course <3 You can never have enough plushies. When I read I hug my bunny <3 (My stuffed animal bunny that is).

Surprisingly, I only have 2 plushies. My childhood teddy bear and the first dragon I made.

I have a lot pf plushies, but Toss has been basically everywhere with me. Had to make sure I remembered to pack him coming back from uni just a couple days back.

He's a 13-year-old tiger and is now kind of deformed from being squished into very packed luggage a few too many times.
I accidentally left him at a hotel once, and the hotel staff was really nice and actually /mailed him back to me/. Best Xmas gift ever. STONEWALL WAS A RIOT

Awww...tiger! Cute!
I'm too afraid of losing my oldest stuffed animal to take him anywhere, not that I travel ever. That was super awesome of the staff to get Toss back to you!

Oh yep, the sweet taste of procrastination. I'm doing homemade gifts for everyone this year too, and right now the hooded towel I sew for my cousin's kiddo takes much longer than I thought it would. Spent half an hour alone on convincing my machine to actually sew zigzag stitch instead of a straight line when it's set to zigzag.
Remind me to never get kids of my own. @Moonshadow: My family has a "no gifts" rule for Christmas since at least 10 years. No one ever adheres to it. I suppose people just like giving gifts and making each other happy. @Espy: That was nice indeed. Yay for great hotel staff! @Kaderin: Get to work NOW! (just kidding... but I can totally relate ^^)

Death: I finally did. Depending on how late I stay up, I should have 3 of my 5, essential gifts finished.

Congratulations, well done!
I'm working at #8 of 12 right now, and probably need an alternate gift idea for my aunt, as one of the tools I definitely needed for her original gift isn't working right now... *crosses fingers for local tech shop to repair the laser as soon as possible*

Oh man...hope it gets fixed in time...but an alt. gift idea is a good plan for sure. I actually already downgraded a couple of gifts because of time constraints.
We can do it! | ||||

Yeah, I hope so too. This is literally the worst timing for the laser to break. I was counting heavily on it for my crafts, and I bet others were too. Hmmm... if I get rid of the bedroom, I could purchase my own. Who needs sleep anyway?

Death: So...what are you making for people with the laser, if I may ask?

@Lee: No... but that would be super awesome! I'm definitely going to put "sewing machine with a laser" on my wish list. Everything is better with lasers *nod*
@Kaderin: I made a wooden note pad cover with living hinges already (=plywood cut in such a way it becomes flexible), and I wanted to engrave a cookie stamp in acrylic. You know, the sort which is pressed into shortbread before baking and then leaves an imprint. And for my grandma I plan to do filled chocolates, which doesn't need the laser per se, but I also wanted to cut an intricate box for packaging. Then there's my cousin for whom I considered making either a small candle lantern or a similar note pad to the one my uncle got. Switched that for a bottle of homemade spice oil, because there's no way I can jury-rig living hinges with a fret saw. You know what? Forget the sci-fi sewing machine. I need a clone device. Two or three of me with their combined efforts should be able to finish in time ^^
