Twin teens are pulled into an ancient war between two factions of gods, all because the owners of the book shop one of them works at turn out to be Nicholas and Perrinele Flamel.

The first one is called The Alchemyst. Like they used to spell it in olden english.

The series does an amazing job of tying together history, myth, and reality...

I think I may read them.

I just finished reading Phoenix and Ashes by Mercedes Lackey.

It was a good fantasy novel.
