If you don't mind some weird loli stuffs, I'd recommend Tokyo Akazukin. I actually need to re-read it, it's been a while.

And my bf says Dark Metro is good too, but he's only read the first volume, and I haven't read it yet.

"A sword would take to long to draw, and the spear is quickly becoming only a staff," thought Funkduder as he began getting pushed back. After a fourth attempt to stab, he drew the spear backwards, using one hand, and tossed the spear behind him. At the same time, his other hand drew the prisoner's knife, moving to try to parry her sword while riposting with a fist to the sternum.
