it's not just you, Mekatra. I can't see those two, either.
I use She/Her and They/Them pronouns.

Ah, I like wearing costumes, so even if it's not popular, still good stuff, I think.

And it's probably because they're dropbox links, I'll adjust them a bit later.

The things you have showed us are really cool and you seem really happy in the picture. That's really great! I'm in awe of some of the big elaborate builds cosplayers do with light up things and such. It's nothing short of impressive!

Oh, uhm, ok, so no theme this month. XD

Yes, a lot of cosplays are impressive and amazing. :3 I prefer doing simple cosplays though, or if I want to do something semi elaborate I will try to. XD

Lol. That's exactly what it is, Mekatra!
XD

Also, on a random note...I totally found a video on youtube a couple weeks ago that is a tutorial on how to knit a garter stitch border on a finished blanket for loom knitting!
Which in and of itself probably isn't that exciting really, but it will take edge rows guess work out of a project I want to make next year and means that I can start calculating the weight of a knit scalemaille weighted blanket!
I really just need to test out if I can use worsted weight yarn or if it has to be bulky (which would probably only slightly impact the weight of the blanket) and then measure the knit side of the appropriate test swatch and then do basic math to calculate scale quantity and weight. And also factor estimated yarn quantity and weight.

You know...like this. Only as a blanket. And maybe with no real pattern...

It was kind of a bitch to learn because there are needle knit and crochet instructions floating around somewhere, but zero loom knit instructions, so I had to learn it on my own based on the other instructions

How do you connect the scales to the thread? I have done metal scalemaille, so this is interesting to me.

Also if you use just aluminum scales it shouldn't weigh more than a couple pounds for a full blanket

The only wrong way to cosplay is by being an elitist, judgmental asshole, which you're not, so you keep rocking on.

Elitism is definitely bad! If someone likes what they've done, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, I say.

Okay, I had to use the redirect links for dropbox (I think), so...there. Now should be able to see stuff.

I want to say that for needle knit and crochet, you can pre-string the scales.
On the loom, I have to add them as I go. It works best with garter stitch, and wjayt I do is, when I am ready to add a scale, I hold the yarn to the front of a scale, with the back of the scale facing the inside rim of the loom, then pull the yarn back through the scale, forming a loop. I put the loop on the peg and pull the bottom loop on the loom over the top. Repeat on every other peg, then purl back. Then repeat the process, but on the second scale row, you do scales on the pegs you didn't do in the previous section.
Hopefully that makes sense. I can try taking photos to demonstrate when I get home.

(Incoming double post ;u; )

I keep most of my cosplays on cosplay.com(the site that was once full of cosplayers but now it's more quiet over there but some people do still post, plus I'm what you might call old-fashioned and I prefer to post my cosplay stuff there. D: )

My account would be here: http://www.cosplay.com/member/161584/

Go take a peak if you wish. xD
