At least I have been knitting the past few nights I've been doing it. I mean... nothing actually of use, but knitting is more productive than sitting and doing nothing whilst watching television shows in sequence on Netflix.

For lots of different things, and not really for anyone.... just for me. and from my mom's recipe books mainly. my parents are in the process of moving and didn't want the cook books in storage so i brought them with me to college and i don't like clutter.... so i wanted to make it into more like a cook book so i've been typing up the recipes and organizing them

Wow - sounds like a lot of work/time! I guess you like to cook?

I haven't done much cooking - more baking, though - but my mother has several cookbooks she has accumulated through the years. One of the ones which I turn to frequently is the Betty Crocker cookbook. It is old, and the style is kind of like... 50s at least it seems to be... but, it is very helpful and explains everything without assumptions that the reader has had training, haha.

I love to cook. More of baking but i really really like it. It destresses me!

Me too :D. It is also a good way to get sweets when there aren't any in the house. Apart from the fact that I love the "idea" of self sufficiency. And even though I don't live by it, the things I do do for myself, I really enjoy the process of creating and participating in my own world... rather than just purely consuming. Hence: the crafting thread!
