"No.." He giggles, "Illegal doesn't always mean someone gets hurt. Pirating movies is illegal and nobody gets hurt. Nobody gets hurt when I bang a guy for money. Well, unless he's into that sort of thing." He giggles again. Vincent can see a nondescript silver car in the distance. There's a man that looks suspiciously like a lumberjack smoking a cigarette and leaning against the passenger door, and he watches them close. Liet steers Vincent toward it. "That's Harold, by the way. That's not his real name, but just call him Harold."

[Yokuutsu]

"It'll hurt if they throw you in jail for it." Yes, Vincent does know he's just being stubborn for the moment. He was going to be stubborn again but Liet's words make him stop and just stares at him a bit before shaking his head. He doesn't want to know to say the least. "Uh-huh....okay then..." Harold looks like he could break Vincent in half in his opinion.

[Liethell]

Harold also looks as if he has the pent up anger issues to do it too. He pushes himself off the car and grinds his teeth on the cigarette in anger. Liet seems to either not notice, not care, or his blindness is kicking in. He waves at him, and Harold answers with a rough and rocky voice,
"What're you doin', bringing home another stray or is this one of your clients?"
"He's just a stray Harold. Meet Vincent" And Harold only gives him a deadly sort of glare to respond to while Liet ushers the younger man into the car.

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent just stays as close as possible to Liethell, a bit scared of Harold. He looks so angry and he has no clue why at this point. So Harold is scary. That simple. He makes a strange noise at the stray thing, somehow moving closer to Liet at the glare. He didn't do anything wrong, at least not yet. Why is he so angry already? He just looks away as he climbs into the car.

[Liethell]

Liet scoots in after Vincent and offers him a bit of protection by wrapping his arms around him. Harold climbs into the driver's seat. There's someone in the passenger's seat too, a skinny looking woman with short, cropped hair. She's got skin darker than Liet's, but she's got hair redder than a fire truck. She's snoozing against the window, but she wakes up and keeps quiet as the car starts. The radio starts playing at a quiet mumble, a man speaking about an upcoming holiday charity drive somewhere uptown. There's an uncomfortable silence between the four of them, and Liet smiles and enjoys it all...

I hate to be the only one to have npcs. If you feel like throwing someone in, please do. I don't want to make you feel limited at all!)

Vincent just leans into Liet without a thought at the moment. He ends up watching the woman for a bit, wondering who she is, but a certain scary man is intimidating and so he doesn't ask for now at least. He just looks around a bit-it's obvious that he wants to say something. He's got nothing against silence...just uncomfortable ones. Like this one.

"Something the matter, Vincent?" He leans on the younger man and strokes his hair. Harold shoots them both a grumpy glance, using the rearview mirror.

Vincent leans into the touch. Used to, he wouldn't let people touch him too much, but Liet's touch is soothing to him. Though he does glance at the grumpy man. "Just....feeling a bit awkward..." And a bit scared of the driver, though he doesn't want to say that one outloud.

"It'll pass." He rubs up and down Vincent's side. His voice drops to a whisper, "Harold is pretty anti-gay. The nice lady next to him isn't. Her name is Trissie and she's married to Harold. I wouldn't suggest bothering her though, she usually works graveyard and she looks tired right now.." And as if on cue, Trissie yawns and leans against the car window again.

Vincent can't help but shiver a bit at his touch. "Why is he like that?" He whispers back. Harold isn't the first one he's met to say the least, but a lot that he has met...well, they keep it more to themselves most of the time. Which probably isn't good for the few times they do let it out. He just nods a bit about the graveyard shift and he being tired. He can understand perfectly how that is. For safety, sometimes he'd stay up at night and sleep during the day. Even if it wasn't safer, it felt safer.

[Liethell]

"That's just the way people are. Some people are born and raised like that Vincent, and they believe that what they've been taught is right. You can't change someone who doesn't want to be changed, and since he never wanted to be changed, he never did." He shrugs, still smiling. "He keeps it to himself most times, so I wouldn't pester him about it if you ever got chummy with him."

[Yokuutsu]

Vincent listens to Liet, sighing a bit. He wishes people, in general, were more open, but they're not. And trying to force it will make everything worse and he knows it. "Well, that's good then." He says softly when Liet says Harold mostly keeps it to himself. "I've met some people who are...a bit more violent about it." Sometimes people are just mean, destroying property, and sometimes they hurt people instead. He hasn't been hurt, but Liet knows why.

[Liethell]

"Yeah, I have too. I don't look it, but I have" He smiles as he continues to lean on him. "I come from eighty or so years back, remember? I've seen stuff, and not all of it involved poking a willie up a tailpipe." He grins.

[Yokuutsu]

"I'll be surprised if you ever look it." Vincent says simply, halfway wrapping an arm around Liet. But then, at Liet's wording, he just stares at him a bit. Did he really say what he thinks he said? After a moment, he bursts out laughing at it.

Liet meets his stare with a wild eyed grin. Yes, he said it, and some childish part of him is relishing the shock value of it. He laughs with Vincent, and the laughter earns a disgruntled sigh from Harold. He turns the radio up to cover up their conversation.

[Yokuutsu]

"I...hope you never actually died that." Vincent says, not really wanting to know either way to tell the truth. "And you're supposed to be like 80 years old....acting like a two year old." He sounds and look so serious before he starts giggling at least.
