Synopsis:
One day, four young adults of our world are going about their daily lives when circumstance brings them together to witness what is supposed to be the very impossible. Out of nowhere, a bright pink ball of light appears and from within it, as it fades, is a small pink creature floating on the very air before them. They do not realize it at the time, but this creature is Mew, a legendary Pokemon.

The pink feline-esque creature plays with them some (though they do not see it as such) before teleporting them into the world of Pokemon and vanishing when startled, though they do not know this as they are unconcious when they were transported.

Not far outside Viridian City, these four young adults must find their way to Mew, wherever the Pokemon is, and to do this, they must take up the titles of Pokemon Trainers. Southward they go to Professor Oak's lab, hoping that they will find a way home... Or will they even want to once the journey has come to an end?

Our story begins just before they wind up in the world of Pokemon...

MISC. APPEARANCE NOTES: He has very faint acne scars on his face that most don't notice unless the lighting is perfect. His glasses are always present due to the fact he has major astigmatism and is otherwise mostly blind without them.

PERSONALITY: From a young age, Peter's been a dreamer with a mild case of head-up-ass. His sister was far more popular than he was, going all out as a volleyball player and is currently a varsity volleyball player with her own mother as her coach. She didn't care as much for his games and books, but she usually was kind enough to listen to him when he started in on it up until she got enough and told him to quit. As such, he loves his sister very much and pushes her to do whatever she wants in life and she is the only jock and prep he likes.

He's more of a supporter when it comes to things he doesn't know, but when he does know something, he'll offer his two cents, regardless of whether or not you want to hear it. And usually he'll say it in the worst way possible due to lack of social skills. His nose is usually in a book or shoved in a computer (or handheld) and he always has to have the latest gadgets. Even though he is a loner, he enjoys the company of others and sometimes buries himself in his books to get a semblance of a social life... even if it occurs only in his mind.

BIO: Peter Cross is your near-stereotypical nerd. Throughout his life, he was always spouting off random facts, watching educational television voluntarily, and generally was a complete space-case. His mother and father (one a teacher-slash-volleyball-coach and the other a college professor) encouraged his interest in learning, but realized far later down the line he had virtually isolated himself due to the lack of interaction with others. His best friends were books and games, and his mind was never really in the here and now.

When he got into high school, the occasional bullying became more frequent. When he hit puberty, it was evident he would remain small for a male, wiry, and somewhat weak in appearance... which made him a prime target. He hid behind his books and his glasses and despite growing more handsome as the acne retreated, he was left friendless and with a mild distaste for any jock or prep save his sister. It eventually got to the point he was near social-reject status save for the few individuals he came to know and hang out with in the Anime Club at university and random people he managed to get along with elsewhere.

LIKES: Reading (manga, books, anything), watching anime, playing Gameboy games (especially Pokemon), organizing things, most kinds of music (especially 80s rock), his little sister, and coffee.

DISLIKES: Bullies, liars, early mornings, hot weather, slapstick comedy, headaches, losing his glasses, preps, jocks, sports, and needles.

MISC. APPEARANCE NOTES: Tendency towards masculine female clothing and slightly loud-colored clothes with somewhat unusual cuts (high collars, unusual stitching, etc.). Has multiple piercings in her left ear, a single in her right, and a bolt through her tongue. Her hair is naturally medium brown.

PERSONALITY: Fredrika is a headstrong young woman that loves her grandmother and brother. She works hard to make the ones she loves happy and doesn't care if she spits on the rest. Her sometimes contrary personality makes gaining friends difficult, but once she decides she likes you, you're a friend for life... or until you hurt her badly. She is also slightly a prankster with her amusement derived from fooling people into thinking she's a man until she talks or wears more feminine clothing.

Her interests were never largely in school. She preferred the idea of jamming to the new Electronica beat than dealing with grades. However, her Nana told her she'd better get a degree in something... even if it's basket weaving, so she pushed forward, looking to further her career in something she felt she could make a difference with.

BIO: Born and raised in the South, Fredrika has a strong sense of family. Which means, when her mother abandoned her and her big brother James at her grandmother's house one evening and never came back, she never forgave the woman. Her father was never in the picture, either. She was raised with James by her loving Nana and given good Southern values, but she fell in love with the glam of New York City despite her roots in the Big Easy.

When Katrina blasted through New Orleans, her family was forced west to Houston to dodge the storm, but couldn't go back due to the lack of a home. As she matured, she realized she was going to be a very flat-chested lanky young woman and chose to use it to her advantage. Most young women in her position would make an effort to be more feminine and more approachable... Fredrika hacked her hair into a near-metrosexual cut, dyed it teal, and took to wearing boyish brightly colored clothes. And then she hacked her name short to just 'Fred'. She knew she was going to be Amazonian in height and far from 'full figured', so she just went with what she felt was appropriate.

Graduating from high school actually surprised any number of classmates as most thought her male (as she wasn't a big talker during school) and she had been forced into a dress with her cap and gown. After high school, she aimed for college, gunning for a degree in photography and journalism.

LIKES: Electronica, Techno, Dance, her iPhone4, her laptop, Tetris, Bejeweled, confusing people, Asian foods in general, Cajun cooking, cooking, dying her hair odd colors, photography, her brother, and her grandmother.
