Panda parts delivered to his mother for his dad to assemble, as I still don't have a yarn needle, or the money for one. He might wind up being a heavy metal panda, as one of the eye patches was heart shaped...
Balance... elusive sprite! How'd the shopping go? I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. If you don't see me around and you really need to get hold of me, you can yell at me over at one of these places? My blog. KofK CS Gaia Sale thread woman

Yeah....balance didn't happen. I overloaded my brain and just played video games instead. (Did work on the fox some before work this morning though.)
Shopping was okay. Didn't get as much as I should have, but it was just a quick trip. Mainly got some salad kits, tomatoes, and yogurt.

Awww, well, at least you got something done. Have you ever tried using Greek yogurt instead of mayo in things?
Snake! Awww! My friend brought me some knitting looms today. She asked me if I knew what they were, and I told her Custard was made with that kind of thing. No, but only because I don't really make stuff that requires mayo. Tbh, I think the last time I bought mayo was 5+ years ago and it went bad before I got 1/4 of the way through the jar.
Lol. Yep. A snake of the "danger noodle" variety. (A rattlesnake.) It startled my friend and I while we were walking on a trail today. And is actually the second time we've ever encountered one. Awww heck yeah, looms! They're spreading! XD

LOL I saw one when I was twelve. After I nearly sat on the poor thing.
I just hope I can keep with it if I try making something. I have never been able to stick to spool knitting projects. I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. Time for some video chat loom projects?
Lol I've never used the spools but they seem pretty limited in their function. I'd probably lose interest in those too.

Ugh. Getting really frustrated trying to find cute vintage style shirts.
Bought a couple on Amazon (because they were cheap but still looked cute) but the size charts (and just...being made in a country with different general sizes as well) make it almost impossible to get a good fit. Like the best one of the two I got is a medium and is almost too big still in the chest, shoulders, and arms, but a near perfect fit in the waist and hips. So I could maybe try a small, but what if it doesn't fit at all? So then I also picked up a couple shirt from an Etsy shop and they fit (I assume though it was hard to tell for sure for a reason I'll mention soon) very well in the chest, shoulders, and waist, but were a bit too short even with me wearing a high-waisted skirt , and the sleeves were so tight that I couldn't even get the cuffs up past my elbows. Like...the picture of them showed looser, long (about elbow-length) sleeves but they were so freaking tight. Like...sorry that my chest and waist measurements are misleading, but I'm actually a pretty tall person with arms bigger than a broom handle. Ugh. But I can't really find any vintage blouse patterns that I like either so even making my own is getting to be a nightmare. Anyway, rant over. Tldr; vintage style shirts are so hard to find at affordable prices and I can't find any patterns I like either. XP So....how's everyone else doing?

Well, with the cords made from the spools you can do things like rugs, or even toys by sewing them together. If you can stick to making the cord long enough. Sorry for not replying earlier. I had my first work related trip, which included a three day stint in selling at the booth that started early and ended late, a drive there through a rain storm in the dark, and a little bit of getting lost. Also much geeking over beautiful old buildings. I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. In reality, I don't know how well actual video chat would work for me as I really only have my phone so it would be harder to actually see with.
Oooh that sounds like a pretty fun trip!

Ahhh. Yeah, squinting's no fun. I did a lot of it through a rain lashed windshield on Thursday night, and I still can't see to read very well.

Squinting is no fun at all. Hope your eyes recovered quickly!
In other news (related to my vintage style blouse struggle rant), I found a cute blouse pattern today and they were on a phenomenally good sale today. So in the next month or so I may get brave and see if I can make my own shirts for work!

Oh, I'm still seeing funny. But crocheting might've helped with that, and staying up reading on the computer...
You can do it! Did you see Bernadette Banner's blouse video? I'm SO glad I don't have to make one of that kind! ...Or wear it, I look terrible in white. Assuming you mean her most recent one? No.
I actually haven't watched very many of her videos. Mainly because seeing massive talent intimidates me and makes me less likely to actually make things. Though based on the title and thumbnail, I'm really grateful I'm only going for 40's-50's vintage instead of Edwardian/Victorian era vintage. O.o (I thought about going that old initially, but the more loose/baggy style isn't something I have the confidence to pull off.)

Yup, that one. And Edwardian was only loosish in the front, and all the folds there were carefully sewn into a form fitting waistband... Yeah. Ouch.
The goofy frilly blouses I wore in the seventies and eighties (and later, I wasn't stylish) were a cakewalk compared to those. I'm not very active right now, because of stuff. Yeah....for me anything loose in the chest just doesn't feel right mainly because I'm small chested so it just kinda sits weird and looks like I'm trying too hard to fake having big boobs.
XP So I'm going with the more form-fitting yet still comfortable 40's-50's blouses with high-waisted a-line skirts. A look that is vintage yet timeless.
