You most likely went to a bad one. I've gone to a Micky-D's and got the worst tasting food and I vowed to never go back but I ended up going to one on a road trip because I was so hungry and that was the only place near by and it was damn good.

So I guess it depends greatly on the place you go to.

Yep. Each place is independent from another on taste.

Just like two Staples within 10 miles of each other seems to have completely different stuff at times.
