I'm decent at making cookies, but I attribute that to the FANTABULOUS recipe my mom has rather than my own baking.

I happen to prefer my own baking to my mother's, but my mom isn't horrible. She just doesn't enjoy the process as much as I do, I think.

I like my cooking better than my mother's, but her baking definitely beats mine any day. in fact, before I moved out, I only made desserts if I HAD to, but my mom made me make dinner more often than she did.

for sure. homemade cookies are amazing. store ones get crunchy when they're old (and sometimes even when they're still fresh!) but my mom's homemade cookies always stay soft and delicious. <3
