TeleTech. It's basically call center work.

I got married, lived various places, got divorced, lost my job because of serious chronic leg pain, had a friend move in with me, lived a few other places, then finally got it through my thick skull that my friend was emotionally abusive, and came back to live with my parents. Was going to be short term but now I'm waiting for a surgery procedure before deciding what to do next with my life.

and i'm not laughing at you, but BWAHAHAHAHAAA you sound a LOT like me. got married, moved overseas, he found someone else and kicked me out, was homeless, moved to canada with some gaia friends i've never met, didn't have a work visa so had no money, moved in with my mom in cali, lost job due to the economy, lynxie begged me to move in with her in wv so i moved, then sister "needed" me so i moved back to co. now i'm kinda stuck here, unhappy and friendless =/

I'm going to be amused at how we both condensed all that into a paragraph when clearly it could take pages XD

I do have friends in the state, my best friend lives about 100 miles away, but it's hard for me to see anyone ^^; So I spend a lot of time online talking to people.

you're lucky. i have one friend, my best friend from high school, that lives about 5 hours south of me....but i don't drive and she's got 3 kids so a roadtrip is out of the question on her end.

I have a lot of friends, all over the place. Many I have met IRL. Most of them I haven't though...I just wish I could. A lot of my romantic relationships ended up being long distance only, with the exception of my wife (obviously? lol) and the one lovely person I met here.

I think I'm a bit needy in that respect though.

hehhehee totally understand. i've only met a handful of my online friends irl. talked on the phone with a few more, but most of the time, there just isn't a way for me to meet them :(

I admit I got pretty lucky. When I first met my best friend I didn't live anywhere near her. But we bonded so well and then after coming back here I was close enough to go visit...so I made it a priority. I'm glad I had the chance because she's now too busy to talk much ^^;

Talking on the phone, or voice chat, I don't usually get to do too much. Well, at least to friends. I talk to people on the phone all the time for work ^^;

I type to people quite a lot of course.

I have messenger programs on the phone. Most of the people I talk to normally, I don't even have their phone number :p

Or they are not in the USA which prevents texting entirely.
