um.. the best thing for me to say is to check out the .hack//sign anime which starts the whole series. After/During the .hack//sign anime the .hack//IMOQ (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine) games for the ps2. then eventually the .hack//DUSK anime is what starts off the GU game series. =)

As for the story of the game, People playing an online game, some of them end up in a mysterious coma and their minds are stuck in the game, they can't log out.

The games themselves, its like playing a MMORPG but.. its a single player game (though I wish they'd re-release the MMORPG version they had for the ps2 o3o)

Lots of different areas and dungeons to explore. its real fun =) If I'm ever able to get a VHS to USB thing, I'll record my re-play of the first four games. ovo

A slight update, word around the Net is that America is getting a Digital Only release. Gamestop has the 'digital' game up for preorder already even though no official release date has been announced. If I'm gonna preorder a digital copy it'll be off of PSN ._.

Though if this is true or not is the real question. This information was released on a fan twitter and not the official Bandai Namco of America's twitter. (Then again Namco's America Twitter hasn't been promoting .Hack//GU at all, its all DBZ and SAO and Accel World)

Having Gamestop put up a Digital only preorder page, makes what the one twitter user said sound like the truth. =o= If it is like that, I'ma ask a friend if I send him money, can he get me the EU release..

Love .Hack myself, I actually just got volumes 2 and 3 of G.U. recently and finished volume 1 last week. I heard of this but thought it was a new game :/ is there going to be new content in this trilogy pack? otherwise I doubt I'll get it any time soon. Hell I still need to get Quarantine of the first .Hack series.
